Thank you!! My directions were very unclear for my 848evo. I followed your video and it works like a charm now. It will save a lot of time on replacing clutches in the future if you get a side cover with a removable clutch access. No oils draining and no waiting on the gasket to seal. Thanks again
I had a good laugh when I saw this posted because I have been working on replacing my 899 clutch with this exact same clutch and have been stuck trying to get the center nut off for WEEKS! Then you come in and use an impact and it comes right off lol, made me laugh. I bought the HDE USA clutch removal tool, doesnt work for the 899 anyways :( You have to rig your own tool for these bikes it seems. Great idea using the spanner wrench to put the nut back on, I will plan on doing the same! I appreciate you uploading this video, came at a perfect time!
Are you sure the torque spec is 190 Nm on the nut which holds the Clutch basket? Isn´t it 120 Nm ?? If I get the manual right, then th 190 Nm is for the Primary Gear Drive.

Yea I’ve been on the lookout for an 1199 clutch cover that will make for easier access. That will be a future mod 👍 glad the video helped you!
@@nickolaswilkus5145 how much did you torque the center nut for the clutch basket?

I was told that you are never, ever supposed to put any kind of loctite of any kind on those spring bolts. They can easily snap.
please advise what to do. On 959 the clutch is stuck. How to rip it off?

@@AnthonyKreutz Ducabike calls it out as 190nm on page 3 of their directions. The oem manual may say something different for oem parts.
@@reddoggarage how much does the OEM manuel suggest?
Am I right with 120 Nm for the center nut ??
