My wife just bought the 700 in black for me for our 5 year anniversary. Sound wise, it is the same as my QC 35 II’s but I love the fact it has touch sensors, also it has a sturdier build due to the metal frame. I like the multiple levels of noise cancellation. Other than that, I like my QC 35 II’s just a little bit more, but I do like these 700’s alot. I am just glad I own them both.
There is a reason why Emirates business and first class flight provide Bose headphone. I bought the white limited edition and loving it every single day 🥰.
@@chocolatewhale3656 yes! I have both and unfortunately they both have issues. Call quality Bose hands down. I couldnt use the Xm4s for calls because it picks up so much background noise. Everything else handsdown sony. I find the bose very very uncomfortable. Sound is mediocre. App is basic in bose, battery is less. The sonys would be perfect if calls were better. Disappointing for both.
On your bose 700, did you notice any stutter/crackling sound at random when connecting to two devices? I like it but I am not sure if mine is defective but lots of people reporting the same issue.
My relationship with my Bose 700 took quite a nose dive when I got the Airpods Pro. Neither sound all that great, but the quick re-pair functionality of the airpods and the incredible convenience factor really made them my go to "in-transit" listening device. Now my Bose 700 only get love when I'm in transit on a long trip (train/plane/bus, especially plane), but even then, on a short plane ride the Airpods pro are way more portable and the ANC is about 80-90% as good. I don't think the B700 sound is disgusting, but they were definitely rushed out the door to compete with Sony, and it shows.
Have you tried the WH1000XM3? Try using it wired or with LDAC + Tidal and compare the sound towards the B700. I've tried both and I honestly think that the Sony wins hands down in both ANC and sound quality, comfortability is where the B700 is best due to its shape and weight
I am sorry, but I disagree, bose can connect to multiple device. Sound quality is way better and ANC is much better. Plus you get a case that chargers, which no one else in the headphone competition. If you want more bass with the bose you can just change it on the eq.
@@herenkapsalon It happened to me too. We should update the firmware or get a replacement. I tried the first and it didn't work so I sent my original device and I got a replacement with the firmware updated and later I got an EQ feature. My headset is working very well.
EXACTLY. Call quality is THE reason I got a pair one year ago. I use mine daily for Teams calls on my PC while simultaneously connected to my phone to take voice calls (another feature somebody like Sony only recently implemented on the XM4).
I had xm4 but already sold it and chose bose 700 instead, the reasons are, bose 700 earcup is more comfortable for me (personal preference), call quality (definitely) and the last is active noise cancelling, sure xm4 does blocked more noise however my ears got uncomfortable with xm4 ANC when I used it, whereas I never had that with bose 700. For sound quality xm4 also win for this category although the margin is not much, but again I prefer comfort over a slight better sound quality. This is my personal opinions based on my own experience, and you might feel differently. I suggest you try it by yourself...
I own the Bose Headphones 700. It’s a good headphone, not the best in my collection, but good enough for the majority of the consumers. My main reason for buying these is the incredible active noise cancellation and the ability to make pro phone calls in noisy areas.
From watching many reviews on different ANC headphones this one has ranked best for call quality for every reviewer. I think you should have mentioned that. I mostly use my headphones for watching movies, and leave them on all day while i work and listen to music but I also do meetings on skype/facebook calls and to be frank all other headphones in this price range fail big time on call quality. I almost bought the MX4 until i realised how bad the call quality was. These are miles ahead in that department. Another reason I'm going with this headphone is build quality appears to be more solid. I break my headphones a lot, had countless headphones snap wile placing them on my head and these are all metal (I think) so I think that will be more durable for me. I take these on and off 10 or so times a day, and have them on at least 12 hours a day.. I hope its the right decision.
I think it is an error to compare wired headphones to wireless. It's a little like comparing wired speakers to wireless, really there is no comparison. Wired anything gets a lot more information to process than wireless and so obviously, the wired headphones are going to sound better.
I have them on my head right now. Bought them a month ago and will be returning them for one reason only: the clamping force is woefully inadequate, so they don't stay still on my head.
Just bought these last week and I'm new to sound critiquing and so I can't yet comment on their sound quality, but I tried them on in store and compared them to the Sony XM4's and even I could tell the difference between having all sound sitting on my eardrums of the Sony's and having some space in the NC 700's, plus they look so much better and the phone call quality is really good.
@modeste nomad That's not an accurate comparison for TH-cam lol. Not everyone has access to Mercedes', but if everyone did there would be a lot more on the street. Everyone has access to every YT channel though...
I honestly think its because as good as other headphone reviewers are, Zeos isn't as analytical and crticial with devices. He conveys whether he likes something passionately and makes you fall in love with the product. Hyping aside, I much prefer a review from someone who is passionate about a product rather than deliverting critical analyses. Although a critical analysis is REALLY useful for purchasing decisions, I've always found regardless of good cinematic production and audio, it does limit your ability to connect with the reviewer/youtuber. Ultimately although I like Josh's videos, I think its clear why Zeos probably will get more views and subscribers.
@@ffdfdfdfdfdfdfdf The main difference is zeos will make you spend way more money than Joshua does. Because its not so often that you find joshua hyping products while comparing is his strong thing IMO.
Production quality is one thing.... But more important is the person behint it, i personaly enjoy z reviews way more than this guy.(sorry but i just dont really enjoy his talking)
I bought my Bose 700 on Xmas I had them replaced in January, two months later they went bad on me again. I call Bose they told me how to reset them, after that they didn’t came back on. Went to the store the manager was kind enough to replaced them. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend them.
I'm a moose with a size 8 hat and, after a year's ownership, I've found the fit to be fantastic. Much better than any other pair I've owned as far as that goes, but otherwise I second all that you've said. It's fit and ANC are its only saving graces.
His review regarding the Fidelio X2s and actually many others I watched are also critical and balanced at the same time. He is becoming my favorite audio devices reviewer. Joshua, in case you are reading, it would be even better, in my opinion, if you a had a even more systematic format with specific categories and why not, a score. To give an idea, like that of Doug DeMuro, but, for headphones.
I bought the Sony 1000XM4 and the Bose 700 to compare. The Sonys are universally rated higher in most reviews. I expected the Sonys to be better based on reviews like this one. When I compared the two headphones using several generes of music and watching several movies, it wasn't even close, the Bose blew the Sonys away. The are noticeably clearer, more precise, more detailed, and more in control of all ranges, including bass. The Sonys do produce more bass slightly, but it is a lesser quality bass. The Sonys just sound muddy and low resolution compared to the Bose. I really don't understand why they are rated so highly. As for this guy's comments, they are obtuse. Of course you are buying these for the ANC. Geez, what a stupid set of comments from this putz. I got these from Costco for $330.00 with the upgraded charging case. In that price range, there's no better noise canceling headphones. These are audiophile quality to a great degree. I really don't get this guy's comments at all.
I have the 700s as well, and a pair of DT1990. There’s absolutely no comparison between these two, as Josh said (but with Sundara as example, but DT1990 are pretty much comparable). The 700s sound hollow in the mid-range and they don’t resolve nearly as well as I expected. That said, I also have Sony 1000XM3 and I agree with your sentiment, the Sony doesn’t sound as nice in any category. But neither are going to satisfy audiophiles at any level. That’s not why you buy these though. You do it to get through your commute and to wear at a noisy workplace to get some peace and quiet (or music), not to sit home and deep listen to music to enjoy it at a deeper level. Well, you might, but if that is the goal, get Sundaras or something similar instead, they are a much better fit for that purpose.
@@WreckedRectum sony just has a bunch of paid reviewers.. thats why its so highly rated and moreover the average consumer doesnt really buy both to compare them and keep what they want.. As for your opinion,, i have the same opinion that the bose's sound is better compared to the sony's (both xm3 and 4) also sony's noise cancelling is trash idk why these reviewers play with their viewers like that .. like as soon as you get on a call the noise cancellation stops on the sony's and even the person on the line that you talking with can hear your surroundings and the whole ambience around you.. its just pure garbage .. While on the bose its flawless the noise cancellation is on point during the calls and the voice is crystal clear. And as you said none of them will satisfy audiophiles xD but i'll still take the bose anyday compared to sony and their gimmicks..
I have a set of Bose QC25 which aren't wireless but do have good comfort and ANC. They were cheap on sale and are my go-to for airplane travel. They don't sound great but the ANC is the main feature. I'd recommend that route if you just want ANC and ok sound rather paying much more money for a lot of compromises. Another valid option is to consider IEMs which have decent sound isolation and better sound quality.
I find Bose to be more balanced sounding than the Sony. Yes, there's no super deep lows or sparkly highs, but overall, it does produce a pleasant sound, one that you can listen to all day. The Sony has way more bass comparable to Dr. Dre's Beats and is therefore probably more popular with people who are into that.
do not compare headphones using bluetooth, because the sound quality highly depends on the codecs headphones supported. the purpose of the bluetooth is ANC, not SQ, so it is meaningless comparing the SQ when using BT. compare them by using with cable & CD or at least tidal.
Joshua, you should mention about the privacy concerns as well. (Google bose 700 app privacy). Of course this is not something that would come up to your mind when buying headphones, but if you want to make most of the headphones, this should be considered. This applies to other bose products using the bose connect app. (Maybe pin this or something so people can see this?)
I bought these last August (2019); loved them, totally satisfied ... but then, a few days ago, the battery died. Won’t charge. Just dead with a capital D. I decided to go for the Audio Technica 50mx-BT; i don’t care about the lack of noise cancellation (I seldom venture out of my apt). So, if you’re looking at the Bose, beware; I have been a Bose customer for years (Quiet Comfort, the Wave Radio, etc), so it pains me to negatively regard these, but at that price point, there’s no excuse, really.
Raditram I’m quite happy with them; charging time is not an issue. No problem relative to clamping force, although my ears do get warm after long periods of use. Another issue is relative to Bluetooth connectivity: if one has multiple Bluetooth-enabled devices running, before connectivity is successful, all other devices must have their Bluetooth function turned off or pairing will not occur (after you have paired with your device of choice, the other devices may be either turned on or reactivated. I have an iPhone, iPad, and a Kindle that is Bluetooth-enabled, so if I switch from one to another, I have to do the old song and dance. It’s inconvenient, but it’s something I’m now used to, sorta like “muscle memory.”)
Weird you mention in the Panda THX comparison that these have great detail in the high range 🤷♂️ and then in another review you say these sound the best over both the XM4’s and Momentum 3’s?? 🤔
And all the other headphones that are reviewed, they’re not reviews, they are all sales pitches, it’s a merry go round, just go to any store, try to listen to it and then make a choice, V shape , soundstage, width, depth blah blah blah, truth is you don’t know what you like, just try something , if you like it buy it
I regret not getting these initially. Went with the Sony mx4, and what a steaming pile of goo, returned them after one day and ordered the Bose instead. I work in industrial production and the Bose 700 are amazing at blocking out sound, the mics are picking up my voice perfectly and I can hear myself, and more importantly, the one I’m calling can hear me no problem. Bose has always had a pretty flat sound, but with the added eq, they just got significantly better 👍🏻
@@rectorragies540 it’s still the same, very little to complain about, the soundstage is a little more narrow than the Sony mx4 and I wish they had a proper 5-10 band eq, the battery is also not great, I get 17h 52m fully charge according to the app.
Definitely agree that ANC was the only reason to get these (until the XM4's came out). On Samsung (maybe other phones too?) the earcup swipe volume and the device volume aren't connected, so if your NC700's sound too quiet try swiping the earcup to max and then use your volume rocker afterwards.
Is it worth spending 265$ for? You review seems to be comparing every fault against the price so just wondering if you would recommend buying it for 265?
Any chance you would do a Sennheiser Momentum 3 review? It's BT and ANC and a similar price as the Bose 700 or Sony M3 but in my opinion sounds much better.
I got a little question. So I saw these for €130 on discount today. Also the Sony WH-H910N for €80 and the Sony WH-CH710 for €67. Which one is more worth it for it's price at the moment? Since you say these don't sound the best I don't know considering the price at 2022 what is the best option to do? Would you pick any of these for that price or do you have another preference?
Hi Josh, Your presentation is excellent. I just received these beautiful 700 Bose headphones and am using them specifically to block out my new upstairs neighbors. The noise is at 520 am and again 9-11pm with weight lifting. I have no idea how to select the levels. No instructions came with it. Can you guide? Thank you so much.
Good point on sound quality. I struggled to buy these as I usually put sound quality near the top of the list. BUT...I really needed a set of headphones for the road to block out travel noises and busy environmental noises. These fit the bill. I just had to come to the realization that when I want to enjoy music for the audio quality I have to shift back to my open back headphones, and when I want to get work done and drown out the background noise without having to pump up the volume to crazy levels--these headphones are great.
Could you make a comparison of the Sennheiser PXC 550 IIs with the Pandas? They both sound amazing in their own right so I'm having a bit of trouble deciding which to buy.
that was harsh. i just got these this week, and I'm loving them. simple app, good switching, better sound than airpod pros, and I even found the one with the battery case. Firmware updates easily, what's not to like, the flat sound stage and mid mids? ok. Take that over wires anyday.
What's your thought on the best bluetooth headphone for skype/zoom video call or regular phone call in 2020 so far? Currently, I have tried Bose NC 700 and Galaxy buds live but had to return buds live due to inconsistent mic volume and the hassle of pairing/unpairing Bluetooth upon switching device. I am debating if I should return Bose NC 700 as I heard some random stutter/cracking sound when connecting to two devices at times which disappears when I restart the BT connection. It seems that many people experience this issue on Bose forum and on reddit... I am thinking about Microsoft surface headphone 2, sony xm4, AirPods pro... etc. Or any other suggestions? My budget is under $500. Priority: 1. Microphone quality, not too robotic and clear sound 2. Bluetooth connectivity/ Bluetooth multipoint pairing capacity 3. Comfortable to wear, I know this is somewhat subjective... I think the earbuds with a rubber tip for the inner ear canal might not be a good fit for me. 4. Smaller size/lighter weight 5. Longer battery life at least 8 hours 6. Noise-canceling while on the call so that people can hear me in a somewhat noisy environment 7. Audio/sound quality
Great vid man you hit the nail on the head for me, I absolutely need more noise canceling (I have a noise sensitivity) and don't care about sound quality. Will be picking these up for sure. Thank you so much.
Everyone is talking about the call quality of this headphones but nobody talks about how could this be useful in conference calls. I have a 5 year old at home and I need to know if the person on the other side of the call will be able to hear my background noise if I use this headphones. Secondly, is it compatible with Microsoft Teams. These points are very crucial for me before I buy.
See the thing is they don't market these to audio files or as a audio file headphones so to are ears since we are not audio files they sound good to us stop hating
Very interesting. You really opened up my understanding of nice looking headphones and the actual sound quality of them which should be the most important thing really
¿Alguien más tuvo problemas con la batería? Son una belleza y suenan de maravilla, pero tuve que devolver los míos porque jamás dieron las 20 horas. Primero, 17 en la primer carga, luego 14 a las 5 semanas de uso.
The ANC may not be the best, but it is the most comfortable I've tried. I wouldn't rate sound quality very low but, like the QC35, the sound is very precise but quite bland. I would recommend them over the QC35 just for the ANC off feature where you hear everything
Joshua or anyone else... I have a weird question. I already own the Bose Headphone 700. I was wondering about how they would compare in sound quality to the Sennheiser HD 6xxx. Almost all of my listening takes place with a cord with my desktop computer in my office. I'm using the Audioquest Dragonfly Red with all of my music stored in Apple lossless quality. The Drop Sennheiser HD 6xx being a $200.00 headphone vs the Sound Quality of the Bose Headphone 700. Should I buy the Drps or be good with what I have ? Thx
It distorts in the bass, well after pulling out front spkr drivers out of some 2014 Cadillac crossover, literally a boom box on 4 wheels, I wouldn't be surprised. Really didn't know what to think about it (what a joke is this, 3mm top plate on 6.5" driver), maybe it cost 50cents to produce and dealer wanted a lot of money, I mean a lot, for replacement. The cheapest SB Acoustics line represent Quality of design comparing to Bose for 1/20 of the price.
When you snap your fingers, did you try this with or without music on? I can hear my fingers snapping at 0 and at 10 without music, and pretty loud. Not impressing! I called Bose and they told me that it is normal. But it is my first headphone, so It’s hard to compare... help? Another question: i’m using this with the bose music app but can’t see any EQ?
coincidentally all the people i met that love bose have one thing in common: they never listen at 100% volume. personally i love listening at 100% to feel as if im in a concert, and every bose headphone ive ever heard sounds disappointingly bad at high volumes.
I’m a 100% listener except when I tried my brothers 35’s (II) to compare before buying and they were sooooo loud that I had vertigo for 2 days 😂 I was cleaning with it on max for a few hours and then that night the room was spinning 😆
Great review! When I tested this, I realised that it cannot cancel nearby kids' loud talking voices in my conference calls. Is this an issue for all ANC headphones?
Thank you for that honest review I do place the comfort and noise cancelling ability above sound quality for what I have in mind so this really helps put it in to context and some day when I'm looking for pure sound I'll definitely be coming back to you for that review 100% thank you again ! 🥃cheers🍻
As always great video. Here's my problem. I place sound first but I'm on the move alot and the world has made me go Bluetooth! What are my best options, Panda? Ananda? Don't care about noise cancelling so much
From my experience, you can't go wrong with the Panda right now. Although it's not perfect, it was far and away the best bluetooth headset I've heard outside of just using my ES100 with IEMs.
The NC700 doesn’t seem to have 20hrs of battery, when you fully charged them. It said it on the Bose music app. Mine only go up to 19hrs. Anyone experiencing the same thing?
I know its really not an issue for something you dont see when wearing them, but i just don’t like the design, same with the AirPods max, they just look to ‘modern’
I’m more tempted by the new wave of NC in-ears like the AirPod Pro and Sony WF1080pABCX. The price to performance ratio of flagship Bluetooth buds has always put me off, but with noise cancelling added they are more attractive as an everyday carry, and less bulky than an over ear when you’re travelling.
Please buy them but don’t return them? They need a burn in period. They are great if your on a bus with others that are on thier phones. The caller on your device willnot hear what’s around you just your voice.
Hi, it is brilliant that you gave an alternative same price solution for pure audio quality. BUT that is wired. Please give a Bluetooth, purely sound quality focused headphones alternative.
@@codibrad Yes I do hope the final Panda product turns out to be as good as the hype suggests. I am seriously thinking of pre ordering them but I wanted to know if there is any alternative to consider.
I heard from other reviewers that ANC is way better on Sony XM3s, so I would disagree and would recommend comparing other products in the market and then say "These are the best in ANC" Just a recommendation, keep it up
It's not though. I literally just bought both today to test then. 1. Bose ANC is still better. 2. Sony gives you about 5x more of the pressurized sensation than bose when both are at max setting. 3. Sony call quality in a noisy environment is one of the worst I've ever experienced. 4. The bose call quality sounds like you're sitting in a quiet room even when you're outside using your weed wacker. Had my girlfriend hold it full blast and called her and it's crystal clear. Sony 1000 is a pile of garbage compared to bose 700. It has more base, that's all. And bose can easily get that with a pro version equalizer for a buck 50.
Very nice looking. Very attractive piece of design work. Lots of Bose gear fits that bill. Lifestyle stuff. Bose kit is usually quite on mission for that; they do a nice job of that. The weighting isn't ever on the best sound quality for the money. I also do like your efforts to be even handed.
I'm asking everyone here 🙏 help me. Can the usb c port on the headset fixable? Whenever I plug in the type C, plastic sorrounding the port gets melted. 😢😢😢
Please take a look on Bowers & Willkins P7 Wireless or newer (and unfortunately way worse when it comes to sound quality) PX7. Have the P7 Wireless and also PX7 and I love the P7W to pieces but both of them are way better than anything out there from Bose, Sony, Senn and B&O.
Zaa Zoo I kind a agree, weird example but I can describe the P7W like a crispy baked potatos with a carefully selected seasoning and you can really taste the different spices and the natural taste of potato there. The PX7 are like someone took that baked potatos, poure a milk into them and made a mush out of them. You can still taste the seasoning but the crispness and “clearness” of the taste/sound is just gone and all what remains is just a pale of semi-tasty mush. I am kind a dissapointed by the PX7, not gonna lie but still to me, they sound better than Momentum 3 (we just probably have a different taste when it comes to sound signature) and specialy way better than Bose 700 or Sony 1000XM3.
I tried them and QC35 II side by side and despite the fact that they look more stylish and more luxurious and more expensive, they feel cheaper than QC35 II to me. Also i hate that you need to give Location access and stuff in the app and installing the app is being reminded consistently if you don't install it. The sound was very similar to QC35 II which was meh, Didn't buy any of them.
@@MeteoraEra I personally use the Mpow H12 and funny thing is they come pretty close to the QC35 sound but with more neutral bass. Can't afford something like the Sonys though I think they are the best in their league (ANC)

How do you like DT990s comparing to HD58X and he4XX? I have DT880-600, and while their distortions are low, I can't stand their sound signature: no mids and peaky highs. Maybe the 58X would be something that will something more to my liking, sort of HD600 with less vail and more bass.

These have the best call quality and noise cancelation while on a call out of any headphone ever. 8 microphones on this headset. I own an extremely loud commercial lawn mower, I can take calls on it all day long. Nobody even notices I'm not sitting inside.
GREAT unbiased intelligent review. Sound quality is the most important thing to me! I own the Sundara, I agree with you. A very ballsy move to release an inferior pair for a whopping $400! I also own the Sony 100-XM3 (because they retained Aptx for videos and the XM4 did not) in addition the leader of the pack is the Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3 Over Ear NC. EXACTLY. Call quality is THE reason I got a pair one year ago. I use mine daily for Teams calls on my PC while simultaneously connected to my phone to take voice calls (another feature somebody like Sony only recently implemented on the XM4).
yes, i’m buying them for the exact same reason
My main reason for buying these is the incredible active noise cancellation and the ability to make pro phone calls in noisy areas.
which one is best for Microsoft Team calls?? or Phone calls??
Update on the headphones?
These are the same reasons I bought the 700. Call quality and durability, these are better than anything else.
400.00 for headphones if sound quality is your least important feature? Can't do it!
Mine have suddenly & unexpectedly fallen off my head and smacked hard onto the floor more times than I can count. Very aggravating.
I love how Josh has top notch production quality for YT, and Zeos just straps a GoPro to his head, but still manages to have more subscribers lol
@@DragonsFan. I enjoy both but I watch Zeos vids more
To top it off if you already have QC35II this one isn't worth the upgrade.
Great vid thank you.
I bought my Bose 700 on Xmas I had them replaced in January, two months later they went bad on me again. I call Bose they told me how to reset them, after that they didn’t came back on. Went to the store the manager was kind enough to replaced them. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend them.
I have the Beats solo 3 wireless Bluetooth headphones they been very reliable never had any issues I’d recommend them got them for Christmas 2019
I'm a moose with a size 8 hat and, after a year's ownership, I've found the fit to be fantastic. Much better than any other pair I've owned as far as that goes, but otherwise I second all that you've said. It's fit and ANC are its only saving graces.
One of my favorite reviews Josh. Critical yet balanced. Cheers.
As usual I would add ;)
Another great video! What would you recommend for the best sound quality for a closed back, Bluetooth headphone?
Beoplay H95
Honestly, the sound quality of boss nc 700 is good enough for majority of people, not everyone has that kind of ear that we audiophiles have.
Great review, focus on anc helped us decide. Where did you get silver headphone stand? Very unique.
Just got a pair today and they immediately felt so comfy.
Although I agree with the sound quality part, I'm surprised you didn't highlight enough the positive aspects such as the comfort.
Only Sony XB series headphones are have bass similar to beats by Dr Dre. Wh1000xm3 have more bass than Bose but less than Beats.
do not compare headphones using bluetooth, because the sound quality highly depends on the codecs headphones supported. the purpose of the bluetooth is ANC, not SQ, so it is meaningless comparing the SQ when using BT. compare them by using with cable & CD or at least tidal.
So are you happy with the m50xbt? I heard it takes hours and hours to charge them? And is the clamping force ok?
Raditram
I’m quite happy with them; charging time is not an issue.
How IS you expérience with the 700 since your comment ?
@@rectorragies540 it’s still the same, very little to complain about, the soundstage is a little more narrow than the Sony mx4 and I wish they had a proper 5-10 band eq, the battery is also not great, I get 17h 52m fully charge according to the app.
How you find the max volume compared to the m4?
Hi, the levels are in the app, you only select the noise c. number from 0 to 10, and thats all, regards from spain.
Good point on sound quality. I struggled to buy these as I usually put sound quality near the top of the list. BUT...I really needed a set of headphones for the road to block out travel noises and busy environmental noises. These fit the bill. I just had to come to the realization that when I want to enjoy music for the audio quality I have to shift back to my open back headphones, and when I want to get work done and drown out the background noise without having to pump up the volume to crazy levels--these headphones are great.
what did you get?
Could you make a comparison of the Sennheiser PXC 550 IIs with the Pandas? They both sound amazing in their own right so I'm having a bit of trouble deciding which to buy.
im a basshead enthusiast.. would you recommend this for me? if not do honestly suggest... wireless please 👍🏼❤️thanks
that was harsh. i just got these this week, and I'm loving them. simple app, good switching, better sound than airpod pros, and I even found the one with the battery case. Firmware updates easily, what's not to like, the flat sound stage and mid mids? ok. Take that over wires anyday.
I feel the sound quality is way better. But I'm a nerd and use voicemeter to tweak my audio.
Priority:
1. Microphone quality, not too robotic and clear sound
2. Bluetooth connectivity/ Bluetooth multipoint pairing capacity
3. Comfortable to wear, I know this is somewhat subjective... I think the earbuds with a rubber tip for the inner ear canal might not be a good fit for me.
4. Smaller size/lighter weight
5. Longer battery life at least 8 hours
6. Noise-canceling while on the call so that people can hear me in a somewhat noisy environment
7. Audio/sound quality
Great vid man you hit the nail on the head for me, I absolutely need more noise canceling (I have a noise sensitivity) and don't care about sound quality. Will be picking these up for sure. Thank you so much.
If i preorder the Pixel 6, i'm getting those headphones as a freebie. I think i might go for it.
See the thing is they don't market these to audio files or as a audio file headphones so to are ears since we are not audio files they sound good to us stop hating
so which anc headphones have much better sound at a similar price?
Very interesting. You really opened up my understanding of nice looking headphones and the actual sound quality of them which should be the most important thing really
I love the sound of my 700’s, and I have many high end headphones!
Thx
In terms if long term usage and comfort, which is better, qc 35 ii or Bose 700?
QC 35 ii. Because of the headband and sensor issues are widely reported on 700
@@omerf8899 can you explain what you mean about the sensor?
In b4 tinnitus
Great review! When I tested this, I realised that it cannot cancel nearby kids' loud talking voices in my conference calls. Is this an issue for all ANC headphones?
I use bose QC for travel and office work where I really need ANC.
And I have sennheiser hd6xx for home use and listening.
Is there a portable bluetooth amp you would recommend for this headphone?
Maybe also sennheiser pcx 500 or mpmentum wireless, also the true wireless 2 drop tomorrow
Does the aux cord work with a desktop PC or do you have to have the USB dongle?
The NC700 doesn’t seem to have 20hrs of battery, when you fully charged them. It said it on the Bose music app. Mine only go up to 19hrs. Anyone experiencing the same thing?
I know its really not an issue for something you dont see when wearing them, but i just don’t like the design, same with the AirPods max, they just look to ‘modern’
Think I will go with the Sony's XM4s. Better Android Bluetooth codecs and bass.
Is the bass quality good
I bought this over eBay but I cannot find this product with the serial number. Is this legit ? Or a fake ! It connects using Bose connect though !
Hi, it is brilliant that you gave an alternative same price solution for pure audio quality. BUT that is wired. Please give a Bluetooth, purely sound quality focused headphones alternative.
I think he already did:
th-cam.com/video/IETdzLGoVfQ/w-d-xo.html
@@codibrad Yes I do hope the final Panda product turns out to be as good as the hype suggests. I am seriously thinking of pre ordering them but I wanted to know if there is any alternative to consider.
@@gyoxo2 I would go with the Sennheiser momentum 3. If your looking for really good sound quality with decent noise cancelation, this is it.
I heard from other reviewers that ANC is way better on Sony XM3s, so I would disagree and would recommend comparing other products in the market and then say "These are the best in ANC"
Just a recommendation, keep it up
It's not though.
Why can't we have Bose design with Panda oe Shivr sound? is it really too much to ask for?
Very nice looking. Very attractive piece of design work. Lots of Bose gear fits that bill. Lifestyle stuff. Bose kit is usually quite on mission for that; they do a nice job of that. The weighting isn't ever on the best sound quality for the money. I also do like your efforts to be even handed.
Charging issue, read online I have the 3rd pair of these headphones now it doesn't charge or stuck at 8 or 18 hrs.
What is the best option at that price point in terms of sound quality? Regardless of ANC
He said it in the video - Hifiman Sundara ;)
I would love to see you review a B&O H95
I'm asking everyone here 🙏 help me.
Can the usb c port on the headset fixable?
Whenever I plug in the type C, plastic sorrounding the port gets melted. 😢😢😢
I'm gonna stick with my 1000xm3 🤣. Waiting on Sennheiser momentum 3 and Sony
Why not get Sennheiser momentum 2?
What did you buy
Please take a look on Bowers & Willkins P7 Wireless or newer (and unfortunately way worse when it comes to sound quality) PX7.
Have the P7 Wireless and also PX7 and I love the P7W to pieces but both of them are way better than anything out there from Bose, Sony, Senn and B&O.
I kind of prefer the sound of the Sennheiser momentum 3 over the px7. The px7 has such a dark sound profile and the heavy bass can distort the music.
Sony WH-1000XM3 are better
@@pasi123567 They feel the cheapest of the three but sound better, the mic is crap tho
@@MeteoraEra I personally use the Mpow H12 and funny thing is they come pretty close to the QC35 sound but with more neutral bass.
Can't afford something like the Sonys though I think they are the best in their league (ANC)
I like your white background it’s less distracting
i just got a senheiser hd 58x jubilee, and plan on getting a Soundblasterx g6,l but I also want to know which is better as a second dac/amp I'm looking at either the Schiit Stack, or the mayflower arch, which of these two is better? the kind of music I like are metal (I plan on getting a bayer dynamic dt 990 pro as well as a hifiman he 4xx because I've head those are also good for gaming and metal music as well) Rock, Classic Rock Jazz, a mild bit of Dubstep, Classical, and blues.
How do you like DT990s comparing to HD58X and he4XX?
I have DT880-600, and while their distortions are low, I can't stand their sound signature: no mids and peaky highs. Maybe the 58X would be something that will something more to my liking, sort of HD600 with less vail and more bass.
Joshua can u do a video on whether entry level headphone amp/dacs improve the sound from mobile phones or not?
New subscriber here. Musically, what's your favorite Bluetooth closed back headphone?
There is no such thing. Either it sounds good, or has BT / ANC.
Also, if you place mic quality and make a lot of calls then get these...
They actually sound excellent. Nice flat response very enjoyable. Good treble.
Sound is very nice. Would recommend for any audiophiles. Listening is great.. you are way off!

Hi Josh, does the panda pair with multiple devices?
i think that’s an animal so no
Hey man, great overview on the headphones. I love the intro, you got some really nice smooth shots. What did you use to get the footage? Appreciate the help!
A camera
@@chocolatewhale3656 haha
But I do think it's relatively well balanced. And the sound quality is pretty good consider it's a Bluetooth headphone.
The only problem is probably the narrow sound stage, but it's a closed back headphone, so u know.
anyone knows what is the location of the bluetooth antenna on those? Trying to find out if it radiates too close to the brain? Thank you
I missed another feature. How about call quality, e.g. listen and speaking?
These have the best call quality and noise cancelation while on a call out of any headphone ever. 8 microphones on this headset. I own an extremely loud commercial lawn mower, I can take calls on it all day long. Nobody even notices I'm not sitting inside.
Excellent review Josh. I couldn’t agree more.
Well comparing these to a wired headphones is kinda over kill you have compare them to like consumer headphones like the sony wh-1000xm3
Are these worth it for 250€?
Damn, I just ordered the Audio Technica ATH-ADX5000. It should do it for now. No more.....
Your reviews are great. I do not like bose or need headphones but I enjoyed it anyways!
The biggest selling point is the call quality
GREAT unbiased intelligent review. Sound quality is the most important thing to me! I own the Sundara, I agree with you. A very ballsy move to release an inferior pair for a whopping $400! I also own the Sony 100-XM3 (because they retained Aptx for videos and the XM4 did not) in addition the leader of the pack is the Sennheiser Momentum Wireless 3 Over Ear NC. Those, my friend, sound AMAZEBALLS, better than the Sony's. So a big NO WAY for the Bose even at a discount of almost half. Nope, not me. I think I will Buy Other Sound Equipment, thanks Josh
