    Guys, I purchased the bose 700 on release day and they have been with me on every trip since. The CALL QUALITY is the BEST, I mean it. The best. Check out how much noise is cancelled in my call test. Hope you like the video. Also put on your headphones or earbuds when checking out the audio quality. Give us a thumbs up! if you like the video It really does matter and helps us grow. Call quality 3:30

      Hi Mr. EBPMAN, would you be able to test these 700s with latest 1.4 firmware and Bose music app with custom Equaliser feature Bose has just introduced? Would love t hear your opinion on it and what are some of the best setting we can do in EQ to get better sound profile, more bass etc.

      I bought NC700 after watching your review. It was great, and everything you dealt with on the video was true.
      The headphone had the best mic than any other headphone I used. Your reviews have always been something I could count on, with 85h and others. Thank you!
      But I'd like to warn people not to buy the headphone. Not now, nor from Bose.
      After using three weeks, I countered SO MANY problems with NC700. It would randomly reboot with a loud scratch noise, it would shutter or cut off when multi-connected to different devices, it would get bricked on updates, and others. I have so much to tell about their customer service, but let's move on. The same thing happened on my second replacement, and third. As I looked around, I realized that those issues have been there for over a year, and never been fixed. A FULL YEAR later, BOSE tried to fix one of the problems and failed hard. Their community is full of customers trying to get their NC700 work, from rebooting, from shuttering, from bricking.
      I believe you got extremely lucky and got a nice pair of headphones safe from the problems. That's what it takes to own a Bose product, no joke. There was a poll, asking how many people are experiencing static noise when connected to multi-devices, the outcome was about 50% were having the static, on a $400 headphone.
      Man, combined with my experience of their customer service, I sold my last replacement without hesitation.

    Hi all, I saw this review and purchased the Bose 700 with the intention of using it to connect to my iPhone and MacBook Pro. Unfortunately, I struggled to switch between the two devices and had to forget the device and pair it again every time I wanted to switch between them.
    The headphones were also a bit heavier than I
    would have liked. After two days of use, I decided to return them. While the noise cancellation was good, if I can't connect to my devices easily, what's the point? I then decided to try the Sony XM4, which is lightweight and has decent noise cancellation. It's perfect for my needs. Call quality is also descent. Please note my review is only for Apple users.

    Great review! One question - at 3:00 you talk about the mic in noisy environments, and you briefly mention that when sitting in an office, it also blocks out the voice of the person next to you - would you recommend this headphone as the ultimate work from home headphone? My wife and I share a room as our “office” but constantly battle with mics on calls as my mic pics up her voice and vice versa, causing chaos

    I tested the Bose 700 against the Sony XM4s (I bought both) and there was simply no comparison. The noise cancelling on the Bose is equal or BETTER than the Sony. The audio quality on the Bose is FAR better than the Sony, I am not sure what this guy is listening to. The Bose produce a crystal clean balanced audio sound with strong clean bass. The Sony headphones audio quality is muddy, not clear. The bass on the Sony SOUNDS bigger, but it butchers the midrange and the bass is muddy and unclear. The Bose simply have much better audio quality when you are playing music or listening to movies. Finally the call quality of the Bose in noisy environments is phenomenal. No other pair of headphones even comes close. The Bose 700 headphones also are made of premium materials. The Sony is made of plastic. Really there is no comparison, the Bose are overwhelmingly better headphones in every category. I tested both for over several days and returned to Sony XM4s to Amazon.

      is there any difference between Bose 700 and Bose 700 UC regarding sound quality and call quality?

    • @franklong6269
      @franklong6269 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@slbdnkrmpc9951 Both sound amazing but over-ear headphones will always sound superior to in-ear earbuds. Over-ear headphones have larger speakers to work with. Also there is no Bose 700 UC, I think you mean the Bose QC earbuds. It doesn't matter what manufacturer, over-ear headphones sound better than earbuds.
      The new Technics A800 headphones that are just coming out promise to be one of the best new headphones for 2022. You can also find the the Bose 700 over-ear headphones on sale if you keep and eye out and they are fantastic headphones.

    so if you adjust the 1-10 on the app, I understand that it blocks more sound out around you, but is it also at the same time, affecting the voice/mic, meaning does it affect the way it sounds for the person listening to you on the call?

    The ability to pair to laptop and phone was a surprise to me and it is very cool. I can listen to music while working. If a call via Microsoft Teams comes in, or a meeting starts, the headphones switch right over. I had some difficulty right off with a few things but that all went away once I updated the software. Well, the app did the software update automatically in the background. Very happy with these.

    • @tejinderseera1280
      @tejinderseera1280 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      there is no firmware for active equalizer, more of generally you can finetune the mid , highs and lows for now. I got setting for bass at 7 max, moment you got 9/10 it can overcome the mid and highs. Plus these are not audiophile headphones so I certainly do not expect them to perform as such Audeze full cans or JH audio IEMs

    Thanks for your updated review. I’ve had my 700’s 4 about 8 or 9 months now, thanks 2 your excellent fist review. Yes. The noise cancellation on planes has been as advertised! In addition, I wear my 700’s all day, making marketing and Sales calls with great success. Recently, I have discovered, to my surprise, that the Bose 700, can also be synced to our Samsung 4K TV. Can U say extra added value! LOL! Now, when I’m watching anything like sports, news or an action movie, after my wife goes to bed, I’m not distributing her with the sounds of our TV. WHAT A REVALUATION! LOL! Happy wife ! LOL!

    With what are you testing the microphones? I tried windows and Android and it's horrible. On Windows there is crackling and on Android the audio testing with Skype (it only gets from headset on calls) and the audio is not crackling but is far from the quality recorded by you. Yeah, I tried to troubleshot Windows, and it is not supported by Bose.

    Maybe this is a dumb question because I may just not understand noise cancellation that we’ll, but what I need is something that cancels noise on my end so the OTHER people can’t hear it, do these do that? I have airpod pros which are great at cancelling outside noise so I can’t hear it but the problem is that everyone else on my phone call can still hear my kids going nuts in the background. Thanks!

I read, that they turn off when not moved for 10 minutes, so it could happen that when you sleep without moving, just using anc, you will be woken up by noise after 10 minutes. Would like to know how you think about this or if it is even an issue.

    Bose 700 vs Jabra evolve2 85 vs evolve 75? I focus exclusively on not transmitting my environment's bg noise to my counterpart during a phonecall. I now have a newborn, evolve 75 and appreciate around the ear but as said main focus is noise transmission nulled if possible. I'd even wear a mic say on the belt / waist in order to remove anything that is heard from there, any hints?

    I have a USB gaming wireless headset that I really have grown to hate. I have been hoping to find a bluetooth wireless with noise canceling and microphone (tall order) I think that while these are probably a good compromise I am not sure about the microphone quality. It is very tinny to me, and one thing that people tell me when I am on zoom calls is how good my audio sounds and they can't hear my screaming toddler running around. Thanks so much for the review, I was considering these as a top choice but after watching your review I don't think they are the right choice for me.

    Can you say this is the best among all headphones in terms of loudness and clarity I mean excellent sound quality for taking calls using MS Teams or Skype or normal calls. Or you have any other suggestion

    Hi, can you do a call test review on Sony xb900n? Your call test is the most COMPREHENSIVE, considering Quiet/Noisy environment. Thanks

    Would you do your "work from home" sound test (dog barking, baby crying) with the Bose 700?

    The fact that you can pair it to more than one device is great the only thing I hate about the Sony is that they can only pair to one device

      So true. I love the Sony audio signature and bass. But the multiconnect and the call quality rules on the bose. But I will add that the Sony are feel more comfortable

    Hi, one question, I just tried out one bose 700 but when speaking the background noise was clear to the person I was talking to. Is there any configuration I need to take a look at in order to be able to have meeting calls blocking out the noise?

    I think that is the BEST way to sample review. And that is the main purpose of these headphones. I been using ANC BOSE from last 12-14 years since when first BOSE came out with conal design. And I loved my QC35 and now my BOSE 700. And they are decent enough for audio quality.

    It's not quite right to test noisy env using audio system as the sound comes from one source and it's easier to cansel such noise. Would be better the real test on the outside somewhere in the crowd

    • @ebpman
      @ebpman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have done both. The results are pretty consistent. In other words a headphone that passes or fails in my test do so everywhere

    on phone calls in busy airport, how much background noise can caller on the other end hear?

    • @ebpman

      These are solid. I use the every week. I am an executive platinum traveler, sad I know. The Sony have replaced them for now. But these are solid. Great for calls as I walk in the airport.

    Do you think the galaxy buds 2 finally beat the Bose 700s?

  • @dolmanationable

    I had a huge problem with my QC 35s where they would pick up sharp background sounds like paper crinkling or a dish being set down and amplify it like crazy to the person on the other end (it got to the point where I just couldn't make calls with the QC 35s while in a noisy environment). If there was constant noise it was fine, but as soon as something cut through the noise like a chime or the rattling of a cart it would amplify that particular sound well over my voice. Do you notice any problems with that with the 700s?
    MKBHD did a test with the 1000XM4s where they ran a vacuum cleaner, banged a trash can, and jangled keys in the background and this is totally the type of stuff my QC35s would have had a huge problem with (particularly the keys and the trashcan) but the 1000XM4s seemed like they handled it great. I didn't want to jump ship from Bose but it looks like the XM4s might be what I'm looking for...

    This review made me buy them and I used the affiliate link although the item was already in my cart. I obviously removed the one I had and added from your link haha.

    Great review. I had seen some of your videos and I think your reviews are ones of the best. You got a like and a new subscriber. Talking about back ground noise cancellation. What would be your pick between this and the Bose 700NC?. My main concern is to cancel back ground noise while having a call or conference call in a noisy environment. Thanks, regards

    Great review very helpful. I have one additional question... You spent a lot of time on noise reduction, comfort, and compact size. What about the microphone for calls? Does it do anything to cut out ambient environmental noise? Does the microphone allow you to speak quietly in a noisy airport without carrying that noise into the mic?
