If there was going to be catalyst I would something like this one of these:
Getting a kill with Monte Carlo will temporarily increase melee damage.
Getting a melee kill will now overflow the magazine.
This weapon can get 7x of Markov chain
Increase melee energy gained by damaging enemies and higher chance of fully gaining melee ability for every kill
Looking back at catalyst release patterns, we'll be lucky if we get a catalyst by Season 12
I think it should just be more range personally.
It would probably give you higher energy gains/melee chance with each stack of markov or just make markov last longer
no new stats upgrades, just adds the bayonet charge animation
The first one sounds great. Just make Markov Chain increase melee damage as well, and we are SET

Monte Carlo on a middle tree Sentinel Titan is one of my all time favorite builds in Destiny 2. It's basically an endless loop of purple explosions that fuel more purple explosions.
Prefer monte with top tree sentinel and doomfang's

Right now it also works wonders with bottom tree striker and a Warmind build. Though Stormcaller top or middle is still better IMO.
I wish Monte Carlo had an available catalyst.

one of my fondest memories in d1 was using this weapon with gunslinger's precison throwing knife in PVP and destroying. The moment i saw this weapon was avalible to get, i was scrambling to get it.
If the catalyst ever gets added to the game, I’d love to see it get one of these few options, but enhanced:
• Subsistence perk
• Increased melee damage, each chain stack.
• Rapid hit
• Tap the trigger
• increased perk timer
• increased stability
• tighter recoil spread
Intrestingly this with felwinter added constant stunning to the point who ever needed a tether. Combo this with claws and u will basically have almost infinite charged melees.
Your Leviathan review was so good I’m happily using it now. And I can’t wait to blow the dust off my Monte and use it. MC with Python, Lias Handshake and Thundercoil. Punchy!!

People really forget about this gem. I love to pair this with Nightstalker in PvP. Throwing smokes that ping the radar and going invis really throws enemies off. It also has high caliber rounds for extra flinch. It’s amazing.
I'm watching this in season 17 and Monte Carlo has become my go to exotic. Spamming shurikens on Revenant, and throwing shields on Sentinel is awesome!
I have so juch fun with Monte Carlo and sunbracers, so many abilities being thrown out and it's so much fun
Monte Carlo on Top Tree Dawnblade with Sunbracers is incredibly fun. Shoot some enemies, get your melee, kill an enemy at a distance, spam 5 solar grenades, repeat.
The Monte Carlo and the hunter chest piece: Ophidia Spathe, seems to be a pretty good combo along with the way of the thousand cuts path for hunters

I was working at bungie, and could not upload videos during that time.
I've been running this on Attunement of Sky Warlock with Karnstein Armlets and max Recovery, and I basically never die unless I just get focused by a boss or try and solo a Warmind bunker. Also run Enhanced Ashes to Assets and Enhanced Impact Induction as well as a Demolitionist/Auto-Loading Holster Martyr's Retribution. I call it my Boom Boom Bitchslap build. Also works great with Attunement of Radiance if I need more survivability and/or team support.
This gun + liars handshake is epic

Monte Carlo is pretty much just glued to my hunter’s kinetic loadout now. I run it with Ophidia’s Spathe and it’s fire knives for days. I’ve not had this much fun with any other weapon.
Great review as always. I would like to hear your thoughts about the three win farming in trials because it basically defeats the purpose of trials.

Monte was my first ever exotic in D1. It was my first drop again in Shadowkeep and it’s better in every respects w/ out game breaking. My literally only complaint is it’s bright white (or gold w/ the current ornament) that don’t mesh w/ that Destiny Fashion.
Sunbracers + Monte Carlo easy choice
im a hunter and usually in charge of clearing adds and focusing on CC and this makes me very very good at my job
Builds I suggest for PvP using Monte Carlo:
Monte Carlo+Bottom Tree Goldy+Assassin's Cowl.
Absolutely LOVE monte Carlo with bottom tree Goldy. It's so so so good.
Monte+Top tree dawnblade+Karnstein Armlets
Absolutely perfect synergy with top tree and Karnstein. If you wanna go the extra mile you can instead run top tree or bottom tree stormcaller for that extra melee range, with bottom tree you'd get your super faster.
Monte+Middle tree striker+Dunemarchers or synthoceps
It's middle tree striker. I don't know what more I have to say. It's good.
I use this gun along with the Doom Fang Pauldron and it is so fun.
monte carlo+ Liars handshake+ top tree arcstrider= fun
I suppose there is one downside to the Monte Carlo. When holstered, the max ammo counter shows 666 without Auto Rifle Reserves or Scavenger.

I got Monte Carlo a few weeks back, and then the servers did some burp/rollback thing, and when I logged in again I had an exotic engram and no monte carlo, and this time it decoded to an Abralest
Audio set in a bit late so now I will call this gun Carlo.
Does the monte carlo have a much higher chance of getting melee back on precision kills? because after using this it definitely feels like it
Great video. In PvP Markov Chain maxes out at a 30% damage boost. If it was 65% like in PvE it would be a bit too OP.

yeah it is on the long list of things to review again. I basically have to get through the shadowkeep/past seasons stuff before I can start reviewing all the older stuff. I wanted to touch on hard light and monte carlo since they are kind of a hot item right now.
i'm curious about what catalyst it will get. the gun is strong as it is already.
That prob the only reason why I kept using Hardlight
It's perk is about melee. I'm guessing because it has a huge knife (bayonet) as an under rail
Been using Monte Carlo exclusively with my Blade Barrage Hunter in tandem with Young Ahamkaras Spine

Monte Carlo is such a well designed exotic... Like this weapon does what it does better than anything that can come close to it.

What type of Catalyst would you give a Gun with a multi kill swashbuckling rampage perk that ramps up 5 levels?
I call it Anti Nerf + 1 mod slot.
Wish Bungie would release the catalyst for it.
Monte Carlo on a top tree Sentinel w/ Doomfangs make for some silly fun if you want to chain supers within a min of each other. The amount of super energy they give you is ridiculous. Only thing is, Doomfangs seem to bug out after a while and the super energy gain becomes very minimal.
Pro Tip: watch Holtzmann's videos in theater mode. trust me, it works.

with top solar warlock, killing 1-2 mid-air with montecarlo i think you can get to full charge already

Mid-tree strikerr with tyrant's surge and any other warmind cell mod. Infinite meelee, Super in 1 minute.
Monte Carlo + Sunbracers + top tree dawnblade = D1 sunsinger all the time! (not stop nades and melee spam)
Easily my favorite exotic so far even though im playing hunter which monte isn't even insane on.
It’s great on titan, where doom fang pauldrons give super energy on melee kills
I got the gun this morning (Thanks Zavala) and I'd say, this gun is good. Sometimes a life saver when 2 enemies are running towards you.

I miss this gun. I say miss because even though they brought it back I never got it to drop and I never will now that I have no more friends playing the game. But man the memories I have of this thing. My fireteams ears bleeding as I shrieked with joy because I couldn’t believe what had just happened. I always like to imagine it in my head as this swol ass Titan acting like a giddy school girl freaking out in front of the cryptarch while he is thinking who the hell is this guy, get the hell out I got more guardians to get to. That feeing of being able to just run into the thick of it as a defender Titan with shots flying around on all sides, the only thing keeping me alive is an over shield that I can continue to get nonstop because the gun just lets me bash everyone’s skull in. Oh man the times I had with that thing
Get fated engrams from xur, they drop most recent exotics as well. Make sure you do it with a character that has all, or most of its exotic armor pieces, so you are almost guaranteed a drop.

How does this mans have no recoil
Hard Light has been infuriating to deal with. I really hope that only slightly nerf it by dropping that damage boost off ricochet, and givenitndamage fall off since they took off that putrid screen shake.
After using Hardlight for a bit I feel it's best at Mid-range, you get in to short range and you do have an advantage. I agree the damage buff on bounce is too much, especially after the buff. I'd say reduce the rebound damage from 2x to 1.5x, at longer ranges there need to be some spread, keep it how it is on close to mid but when you try picking off snipers then good luck.
They need to remove the stealth buff to the ricochet's aim after it hits a wall. It goes straight to your face

Question, how does he do a shadestep kind of dodge to reload? I find when I’m using the reload dodge my character does a spin not a tumble which makes me want to use the other one just for the harder to hit animation
@@lurkingjackel5519 I use the Dragons Shadow exotic chest piece. It reloads all equipped weapons, increases handling speed, mobility, sprint speed, and slide distance for like 10 seconds as well.

Definitely not the perfectly balanced Hardlight.. No thats perfect the way it is.. Not like it had its only balancing feature (the screen shake recoil) removed or anything

@@simp7376 i feel you, weeks, months- of work and they just made it useless. Last Word is another gun they keep butchering too. Like they nerfed it this season so its range is pretty much none existent- but the things like Hard Light and Suros are allowed TTK's beyond BS just because the Auto Rifle players were complaining
Destiny adds a weapon that has a bayonet to the weapon model and doesn't allow us to use it. RIP.
