And it’s not like it takes skill to get the perk to activate, but it makes you work for it and you have to be quick about it. I’d say it’s fairly balanced, in between Last Word and Ace in the tier list
Me too actually...it's better all around for content now(pve)...it's not op in crucible but if you can use it well, it can definitely compete. It's like nerfed thorn, get a kill, pre-nerf thorn rewarding skill which is perfectly fine to me
I think since its niche is its DoT I think it could do with a little more range. Making it able to kill from slightly farther range would make it harder in some scenarios where people can shoot well at long range to get the orb, balancing out the ranged use of the gun with making it riskier to power up with it. Either that or the orb buff should be able to stack maybe 3x so that the poison damage could still allow a poison kill w/ 2 headshots at range but not make any difference at midrange. The difficulty of hitting 2 longrange headshots with this 3x buff would make it so its not the easiest thing to pull off either considering the bulkiness of the gun with its recoil.

@@robbytherob It's not a crest like Supremacy, it's a small orb that floats to you once in range. If you pick it up it will make the gun a beast, being able to 2 tap guardians 5 res and lower. If you don't pick up the orb, the gun is still well above average since it can 2 headshot 1 body shot guardians, unlike other 150's. What I'm getting here is that you guys are very good at using 150's lol
This is REALLY useful in PvP because while being poisoned your time until heal doesn't start until it stops, and can allow you to regen while the other cannot during a fight

The Thorn is so good. It's so good infact that... It distracts you from the fact that Hector is gonna be running 3 Honda Civic's with spoon engines. On top of that he just came into Harry's and ordered 3 t66 turbo's with NOS's and a Motec System Exhaust.
This is great to hear, and good on Bungie for reintroducing the weapon in such a good state. Overall, Season of the Drifter is more enjoyable than I was expecting.
NF should be an exotic. It's ridiculous that arguably the best gun in the game is a legendary that can be used along with the second or third or fourth best.
Do you have it? On pc ace and last word are both better. It just needs an aim assist adjustment on console so it doesn’t crit for you and it would be a gun with a skill cap. And what’s the point of sweating out to get it if it isn’t amazing.

I played every once of D1 for its entirety. I played D2 for the first couple months and left once the first dlc came out. I’m thinking on getting back into D2 because I’ve logged 1200 on 2k19 and need something else to play. How behind and lost will I be if I buy the $40 annual pass? I really just want to relive the glory days of my hunter with the last word, will I be able to do that starting at 300 light as I am rn?
Update: I bought forsaken, I just finished but boi crying for 30 minutes because now I see that there is a $35 annual pass I need to purchase, I just wanna use the last word
@@Freezeray5 I don't think Hawkmoon is coming back. If it does it'll be completely different than what we're used to since they really don't like the rng bullets thing. I do want it back though the design is the best of the three no contest.

So bungie will eventually nerf Thorn. I know I am. That gun is a beast in d1 crucible, especially for an auto rifle.
Using thorn and Getaway Artist is an extremely powerful suppression build. It keeps people in cover, and it controls many engagments.
I love the new thorn it was my favorite in D1 and now it's even better.

The quest makes you use a 180 RPM hand cannon (IKELOS_HC_v1.0.1) so you can realize how good 180 RPM hand cannons are.

The only issue is the console recoil. It's slightly to the right despite having a 100 recoil direction meaning it should be completely vertical.

Fun fact if you go invis while an orb is tracking you and move out of the way the orb will stop tracking you.

Izumi it'll definitely be reworked, but its coming for sure. It'll likely be the seasonal exotic quest and not the annual pass one.

Yes, it is so worth the exotic slot for a 140rpm handcannon that you don't have to reload much. Best pve handcannon.
