    Nice and creative sofa design. I like it because it's like an adjustable lounge sofa.

    Nice job! Just an idea to share, if you take a bar of regular gold dial soap, and rub on the wood where it rubs, will slide out way smoother, quieter, feel better. Old antique furniture dealer hack. ;-)

    I have learned so many things that I am mentally banking to include when I get my own Skoolie. I think that having a design that can flex with your needs is smart and versatile. Wow. And the narrower slats (with more of them) seems like it will be much more comfortable while still allowing ventilation than some of the other designs I've seen.

    • @TheVoyagerProject
      @TheVoyagerProject  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, well thank you for that very nice compliment! And yeah we love how flexible it is, it's our favorite thing in the bus! And yes you're very correct, the many slats is very comfortable/unnoticeable with the cushions. Let us know when you get to building it and if we can help in anyway.

      The Voyager Project Muchas gracias for your offer! It will be a bit...I'm in the slaving, saving and salivating phase...probably 1-2 years from having enough banked to start the ball rolling.

      Yeah this has been 3 years in the making for us, we've owned the bus for a year, and been building for about 9 months! So a long time coming but so good to be so close to finishing now!

    Awesome design! We are in the process of making our couch. It is similar to yours. We were wondering if you have any sort of leg or support for when it is pulled all the way out? Or have you found that you don't need any extra support?

      The Voyager Project hey, I was wondering where you guys bought your clear flasher lens and how much were they? I need to do the same for mine and I’m finding them for about $10 and to replace all 8 for that price is a bit steep for my budget haha

    Your couch is brilliant! Do you have specs for it (materials list, measurements, directions . . . especially)? I am doing a skoolie this year and this definitely will work best for my needs. Really excellent design guys. Thank you for sharing your journey.

    Great job! This design is just what I’m looking for. Where did you buy the drawer rails? I look forward to your future videos, especially how you did your window shades.

    • @TheVoyagerProject
      @TheVoyagerProject  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ana Goldstein the drawer slides are the "Knape and Vogt 6500" model. I can't remember off the top of my head but I think they are rated for about 125 pounds per pair

  • @alvaradacosta293
    @alvaradacosta293 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Wow, that bed is slick.
    Are you going to use removable legs to hold that extra weight towards the pull out end? REALLY nice

    • @TheVoyagerProject
      @TheVoyagerProject  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so very much 😄! Sorry for taking so long to get back to you! We are considering putting legs on it, but we still haven't found the right ones so we're not sure if we will. As of right now it does hold the weight of someone laying across the bed at full extension, but it probably wouldn't if you just sat on one of the 3. Thanks for asking!

    • @lennyp4782
      @lennyp4782 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Voyager Project maybe that third leg that's dying to rip your jeans will do the trick!!! Lol. Next!™

    • @jmsaltzman
      @jmsaltzman 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Such a cool design! But yeah legs to support the extended segments are key if you want to keep it from ripping apart. Of course *you* are careful when using it, but one idiot friend/stranger plopping down on the edge when pulled out will rip it apart :(

    • @TheVoyagerProject
      @TheVoyagerProject  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! And we would make slightly thicker slats for sitting on so they don't flex as much, and go with 200lb drawer slides instead of 125lb. But that's about it!
