I am a 63 yr old divorcee and I just bought a bus! Scared to death! Overwhelmed by the thought of creating a space that is livable in ... Go figure... One month deadline. You are an inspiration. I don't even know where to start. I have a dual fuel gas/propane generator and tools. So I guess I am off to a good start. Oh yea! I have a 🚌! Like you, I have never driven a bus. My first drive will be 670 miles from Iowa to Tennessee ... Alone. And yes this build is being done by me and me alone. I am preparing myself for the insanity... And the thrill

Just make sure everytin else is in workin order before u invest in the buildin of it, or the adventure may b on the side of the road. I've spent the last 4 months on tinkerin wit the mechanics of the bus. I have back up hoses n belts etc. I'll sleep on the floor wit me dogs before I venture off without knowing the bus yea.
Oh, I wish you were headed this way. I’d help you. My bus is on hold because of mechanical problems and I’ve only watched about four years of Bus builds so I’ve got kind of an idea on how to do this. You’re so brave taking it on yourself. I took mine on myself and I have a honey but my honey is not interested at all in it. He has no vision. Lol

My beautiful strong wife was the manager of 30 old lazy stubborn men. Her stress relief was crying. Leave the building, cry in her car, then go back in and tell a unionized man that he was fired. I love that woman!! She is smart, funny, strong, and an emotional rock for her friends (and me the husband). You go girl and every other lady out there, a lot of men are idiots and I’ll be the first to say it.
I swear this is Miss Frizzle in everything but name. Be safe out there, and have some of the best adventures ever!

Like, I started out watching this and was thinking she equal parts made me laugh and gave me anxiety. But then we segue into that moment of inspirational encouragement for women the world over and I was so soothed by her voice and pulled in by her calm, thoughtful demeanor...it was almost a meditative moment. Altogether, I think she's an incredible force of energy and comfort. 👍💥👍

I love the simplicity and open concept. Of course you're adorable, safe travels.
This is the exact balance of not knowing how to do stuff and figuring it out I would want to do on a bus build, with maybe the exception of the electricity system. I would want to park in shade as much as possible and position my battery and panels freely, so I would probably do a movable Goal Zero or Jackery system, but I love how she adapted for not being a carpentry expert and doing her first bus. This is the exact model of bus I would dream of having for a mobile home situation.
Oh my goodness she is as weird as she can be and it is just delightful!!!! I adore her!!!! I totally just want to keep her!!! (In an adorable friend kind of way, not a creepy missing person kind of way). She is someone I would totally hang out with!!!

Love your quirky attitude to everything, the bus is simple but it all works, it doesn't have to be flashy to work ,just be happy enjoy life
For your table legs look at levers used for drop leaf tables, these will allow you to fold the table legs up under the table and lock in place then you can set the whole tabletop down to make another bed area or lounge area for reading. just a suggestion
Another great tour of her buses I love this girl she just makes my day when I see her videos. The bus switches next to her steering wheel for the bus itself lights wipers and all that is the same display as in my bus looks like a keyhole big keyhole

Haha busses come with insulation in the roof and walls! People just take it out and replace it with better stuff. I think it’s sorta silly to do all that work and not replace the windows though. The windows are my favorite! As far as
Keeping cool, opening the windows and the back door REALLY helps things!
How about a top and cushion your "Barrel tub" for additional usage?
