- We are finally finishing our pullout couch with big, deep drawers in our van. This couch to bed design has been amazing for us.
The huge drawers allow us a TON of storage while being super easily accessible. These drawers do latch in place as well and have never popped open unexpectedly.
We eat dinner at this couch, it's Ricky's favorite work spot, and it's Aussie's bed at night (unless we have guests, then she gets booted to the swivel seat with her pillow and blanket).
We're really happy we made the decision to build this pullout sofa bed, especially because it was surprisingly easier to build than we anticipated. Let us know what you think down in the comments.

Love this... we are looking to make the same. Also loved your puck light demo!! I now know how to do that thanks to the handsome fella that demo'd that :). One question: where did you find the right size cushion for the pull out sofa? I love the cushion you used.
It looks tedious and we were stressed about this couch design but it really wasn't that difficult! Glad to hear we could help. :)
We ordered the foam from Amazon, cut it with a bread knife, and then purchased Sunbrella fabric and had an alterations place sew the cushions. amzn.to/3F4E4gu

Looks awesome I’m looking to build a similar concept but in a micro van conversion. Looking to have electrical on one “drawer” and a drawer fridge.

Ours is 56 inches long and 20 inches deep, but you can make it to whatever specs fit your space best.
