    Hey when you had this issue did it also affect the front defroster? Because I'm having this problem in my e90 where the vents throw out air but it's not cold or warm just regular air and front defrost doesn't work too well. Thank you

    I flushed the heater core by removing the heater hoses on the firewall and using water jet to blast water into one of the heater hose inlets. Did this until a whole lot of gunk came out the outlet. Now blows heat like a dragon!

    Well you do have the AC on in the video. Try the heater control valve also called the changeover valve. It opens to let coolant into the heater core.

    My E87 will deliver hot air when on the hottest selection (Australia 28 deg. C) but gets cold air at around 26.5 degrees c. After a bit a searching I'm thinking it's gunna be the "blend actuators" that are mounted on the side of the heater box. A big job by the looks of it.

    damm, what is the solution for this ? I have the same exact problem, new water pump, heater core and even made sure to flush the heater core unit on the firewall. I saw somewhere there was a temp sensor hidden inside the cab, perhaps that needs to be replaced? ( 2006 BMW 325I)

    blend door motor not working???

  • @rcggonzalez
    @rcggonzalez 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It has to be the heater core not getting liquid or something in that area

  • @danekeeper1
    @danekeeper1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Hey Nathan...!. Temperature sensor Driv side foot well-ohm it out....2. fresh air flap open, htr flap closed.........test the return hose and feel if its warm ..if it is you have circulation so you have a temp sensor or the control flaps not working...sometimes the actuator comes undone or breaks...white cheap plastic ...Dammit. let me know if this helped

    A buddy of mine had the same problem on his Oldsmobile cutlass, he dumped in a can of radiator flush/cleaner and a day later he had super heat and some very brown anti freeze, try some radiator flush and see what happens, beats pulling the dash to change out the heater core and if it doesn't work then yea....dash comes off.

    Try getting heat going if you turn off the AC and just let the fan blow.

    • @NathansBMWWorkshop
      @NathansBMWWorkshop  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did that, the ac was only on in the video because i hit the auto button

      The heater core was stopped up, had to flush it and that fixed it

    • @watersareblue5473

      Thx for replyingNathan, I kind of fixed it a bit/ diagnosed it must be my problem too,, for any one else's sake who might be in the same position reading this... when the car was hot while driving on the motorway I took the car out of gear and rev'd it quite high up to like 5000 and the heat came on.... I still need to flush the heater core as keeps going off but might work for someone else's car, and gives some heat for a bit.. was enough to warm the car up

    Unfortunately, I'm betting that all the stop-leak you found in the cooling system has something to do with it.

    • @NathansBMWWorkshop
