    I followed your advice and IT WORKED!! Cold air now coming out both sides. It costs $59 now where I live but waaaay cheaper than having AC service done at BMW shop. Thank you for the simple instructions.

    THANK YOU FOR CLARIFYING THIS!! I've been hesitant on getting a freon recharge because another mechanic said it's not that. I hate when mechanics try to get people for extra shit that's not necessary

    Greetings, I had the same problem with my E70 X5M I almost thought it was a problem related with the valve door that lets cold and hot air go into the cabin, I almost started to dissemble the dashboard until I watched your video. I check my low pressure gauge and was under 30psi
    I added more refrigerant and just like most of everyone in here, started to blow cold air on passenger side. Only spend $64 thanks you so much for your video you saved me a lot.
    Do you remember what psi of pressure you left it at? I went up to 41psi on a 90 degrees day.

    • @TM-CAL
      @TM-CAL  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great, I’m glad it helped.
      I remember it was between the 40 and 50 mark … closer to the 43.
      FYI it’s been 2 years since I uploaded the video and the AC still working without any problems

    Hi, great video. How did you manage to refill it when it was cold outside - did you wait until it got warmer outside ? I believe you cant use the AC Pro when its below 65F?

    • @TM-CAL
      @TM-CAL  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello
      I live in los Angeles and the weather is more on the warmer side.
      The 60F you see in the video is the lowest setting for the inside of the car to test the AC if it was working..... I believe it was around 75 outside..
      And for servicing the AC, i think it’s better to do it when it’s hot, so that you can see if the problem is resolved and keep an eye after... wo that if it happens again you know you have a leak. Otherwise you might serviced and fix the problem, and by the time it gets hot and you try to use it... you’ll think that it’s not a problem of freon.... hope you get my point 😅

      Try the heater control valve replacement first, fixed mines. The valve was only $40 on eBay and this guy who works on only bmws put it in for $60 because it’s a very quick and simple job

    Yeah the AC pressure should be at 40 psi for it to run smoothly and blow ice cold. I have the same problem although my advanced scanner shows the Water Valve solenoid short-circuit, i notice right away that my AC was not blowing super cold like it was & the first thing that came to mind was " my AC is low, need to refill to full again." Gonna get this fix soon.
    Thanks for the fix!
    P.S. Autofools .... *cough * cough * meant Autozone employees mostly don't know szhiet especially when it comes to BMWs!
