I live in Atlanta and I don’t see anyone their age wearing bows and childlike outfits. I feel really sorry for Robyn son. He’s all scarred up from Cody allowing him on a four wheeler when he wasn’t capable of driving one. Then they wanted his real dad to pay for the hospital bills. I hope he gets support from his real father. This sickening show has got to go. All the children are mentally scarred from the show.

WHY would Dayton be receiving SSI? He has never been diagnosed by a MD. He has no disability which would prevent him from gainful employment. He graduated from college with high honors AND a double major.

Why don't they let Dayton go by his father? His father wants him, and I think he wants a relationship with his father! He'd have a whole lot more of a life!
It isn't up to them. Dayton is a college educated man. If he wants to live near his father, he is fully equipped. He is not unable to think for himself or live by himself. When he chooses to leave Kody and Robyn, he will. He must be enjoying it, or he would have left. Once these children are exposed to 4 years of college, they have enough knowledge to know their little family is dysfunctional.
He’s a grown man. He can choose.
At one point Robyn was getting disability checks for Dayton. If she was still getting them while he was in college and living in a rv she could get in serious trouble for abusing a disabled person.

I find this very hard to believe. I don't like K&R at all, terrible people and terrible parents. But to get disability checks you have to go through a medical diagnosis, and it has been stated that Robyn diagnosed him herself, without a lot of medical documentation to prove the dx - it wouldn't be possible to get disability.

@deehente8530 I am aware. I worked for an attorney who handled disability cases for 9 years. But I swear it was in an early episode that he got disability. It stood out to me at the time because I know how especially hard children's cases are.

My daughter is in her 20s like Dayton, and has Aspergers. She can not live independently. They forget a lot. They leave things out, like milk, eggs, etc. She’s getting services and gets SSDI. The services are to help her get a job and have someone to check on her while she’s at work. It’s hard finding these services but as a mother I have to constantly advocate for my daughter. Do I think Robyn is doing this? Well, if he’s living in a rundown trailer that has no heat, then no. I don’t think she’s doing anything for him. Plus the fact that he graduated college and still isn’t working? Well, it could be that he may not know how to drive or he can’t drive like my daughter isn’t able to. Believe me, it still takes a lot of work to be an advocate even when they are older. It takes a lot of time out of my day but I don’t mind because I love her so much. I was blessed to have her in my life. I don’t think Robyn sees that she was blessed with Dayton.
We have to remember that Dayton is diagnosed by Robyn, not by a medical professional. He won't qualify for anything unless that dx is done, and their religion is against that type of dx just like they are against anxiety and depression.

So... Robyn let Kody kick her son out of the house... what will Robyn do when Kody suggests Aurora would be an excellent sister wife for him? Robyn won't have to worry about her marrying a "bad" man, because she'll be marrying the best man in the universe (sarcasm). Those children are not allowed to freely watch television - the hair bow isn't a fashion statement, it is a way to convince Kody that they are still children (and perhaps too young for him to lust after). Robyn is now the 'married" wife, so it is *her* role to find Kody acceptable wives. I wonder if she will enjoy being cast out for a newer, younger model? Perhaps her covert narcissism will enjoy having more women to torment, and his narcissism will just enjoy the younger women. Either way, the bloom is off the rose, time has caught up with Robyn, and Kody likes them young.
I always hoped David “Dayton” would find his way back to his bio dad. He was the only one who seemed to miss his bio dad after the shady adoption scam. Hopefully he is happy & enjoying freedom from Kody. Even if he’s only in the driveway

I do not think it impaired his vision. He has a driver's license. He graduated from college with high honors AND a double major. He received an award from his department. IF he is on the Autism Spectrum (vs. Just socially immature due to Robyn isolating him) he is high functioning, and would be very employable in the tech or business sector! I do not think he is eligible for SSI--he is not disabled, and he has never been employed or lost a job due to hus "disability". Gwen is on the Autism Spectrum. There are varying needs, but she works full time and is in school full time. She also has a mother who encourages and supports her emotionally/psychologically.
@MonibooFinebean Remember that Robyn initially lied about when/where it occurred! She blamed it on David when it was when he was with Kody. He was not covered by Kody's insurance, but he was on David's. Robyn gave false information and played the system.

As a teacher of nearly 30 years, I am still learning. I love it when KJ articulates words that I have never heard before. She's smart like that and does her research well. "Infantilizing - assuming kids can not do things they are developmentally capable of and stifling their ability to try. Infantilizing parents may also try to keep their children looking young to convey that they are unable to care for themselves, in style, appearance, or activities." It helps us to see the parrallism between Robyn's girls, Priscilla Waller, and Anba Duggar. KJ, through her amazing research, had really connected the dots.

I'm angry with them!! My son, who's 29, has got the same issues as Dayton. This breaks my heart and turns my stomach - I would never ever turn my back on either of my kids, for my sake or to appease my husband - he'd be gone first! He knew that before we had kids.

For sure. Autism doesn't mean they can't function in society or be successful. But I think most people can see that by now. At least, I hope. I would venture to guess that the way he is portrayed on the show is a large part of why he didn't want to be on it anymore

Agreed! Not only did he go to college, but I heard them say he actually graduated with more than 1 degree and graduated on time. I think he is very capable of deciding he wants nothing to do with the show. And I truly hope he is building a relationship with his real dad.

Bro he has Asperger's. I have Asperger's. It's mostly a social disorder. I'm a valuable worker because I'm smart and come up with useful ideas in my field that increase efficiency for everyone in my department, but I can lose track of time or be unwittingly curt so people consider me difficult, but I have advocates in my bosses and coworkers that have recognized my value. I'm fast and good at what I do, I just need a bit of help staying on track and double checking tone.
I also get overwhelmed a bit easier than others, but that's when being to recognize triggers and signs you're unraveling come into play. If I feel like I'm getting overstimulated, a trip to the bathroom is in order to come back down. It only takes a few minutes, but having coworkers that understand is key.
Dayton is with his real dad cuz his mom lied and he is in a dangerous place with these crazy people.
I hope Dayton is okay. I don't believe he was able to be manipulated like Aurora and Breanna were. The show doesn't reveal everything of course, but he seemed to get along fine with the OG3 wives' children. In fact, none of them have had anything bad to say about him. Dayton also applied to go to ASU and Paedon said it was Robyn who didn't want to be separated from him. I just hope he's finding his way.

Here’s another thought, what if Dayton wanted to move into his “own place” and Robyn didn’t want him to be on his own so they came up with the trailer idea. Maybe Dayton wanted to be away from the family. He is older and may want to be independent. the fact that he isn’t in a good trailer is disturbing.
