Logan was a kid himself, but had to be a parent to his siblings. To this day Logan doesn’t want his own children. No surprise there.

@@jaynekendall3049Exactly, I know this Syrian woman in her 40s who doesn't have children, because she never wanted one. She is the oldest of 11 siblings and she had to help raising them. This reminds me of her story, or the other way around - don't remember which one I heard first.
All the older kids have said similar. "I love my big family l, but I don't want a big family" Probably because they already did the parent thing.

TLC sold a reality show to us. It was all a lie.
TLC proves the Bible, "All things work together for those who love the Lord." This show has given you and Sarah a chance to educate us all in the dangers of polygamy and cults. Back in the 1990s, my sister (with a small boy) went through a brutal divorce- it was scary how all these different groups went after her. She was smart enough to recognize it was a cult and run away but it was a tough situation.
I do feel duped... and like a few other viewers have stated, I think the biggest dupe was from episode one. I think Kody was kind of over all the first 3 women even then, and was bringing in his mid-life crisis new bride, but pushed a phoney baloney show to make a good paycheck.

I think Meri wanted Robyn as a way to stick it to Janelle and Christine. She thought Robyn was going to be "her" bestie. But, the other women and children definitely didn't want Robyn.

I have to say that Kody preached LOYALTY. Loyalty must work both ways in any relationship. He wasn't and isn't loyal to his children. The crap he put on all of his kids is so hurtful!
Loyalty and respected are earned...ppl work very hard to get loyalty and respect. Kody Brown has done NOTHING to warrant one speck of either. He's one of the biggest frauds I think I will ever know about. Robyn is right behind him. Wonder what her Mom, Alice, thinks of her daughter...the lies, how she's raising her kids???

Thoroughly enjoyed Ben's prospective and as a man growing up in polygamy and as a son, on what it was like to be raised in that family. He cut through all the Bullshit and had clear insight on women's values and the brainwashing done to them. I want to hear much more from him watching all the seasons.

Having a large number of children is an illustration of the virility of polygamist men--which feeds their narcissism. The one thing i find blame or fault with Christine and Jenelle is continuing to have kids when you cant afford them.
I just wonder if they were not allowed to get or use birth control? You would have to go to a doctor and then get the medication. Kody would never use protection at all , I for some reason think they had no control of their bodies ?? Don’t know but it’s my opinion

This is great. Ben’s honesty is very refreshing. We get fed lies each week by the show that when the truth comes out it just it confirms our suspicions. There needs to be more family members speaking truth. The discussions should be about escaping this destructive ideology and helping those what want to leave.

Kody deserves nothing. He’s betrayed his 3 ex-wives and all the children except sobbings kids. The things he has said about his kids is terrible and saying he didn’t ever love Meri, Janelle and Christine is beyond comprehension. I hope he’s proud of himself together with his awful wife who’s caused all this. They were a happy family before she joined the family!
Can't say they were HAPPY...but they were a family. They had problems...and bring his mistress in as a wife didn't help. What kind of religious man is he if he has 3 wives AND a mistress. Then brings her into the family. THAT was his worst mistake at the time. Ohhh he's made plenty more horrid mistakes since marrying sobyn...but it ALL got worse when he married her and locked himself in the bedroom with her while she whispers sweet nothings and her desires in his ear while he was preforming as her best customer ( as the "ho" is is) she would listen to him complain about other wives when each relationship was supposed to not be talked about with other wives...then she'd use it against them when thr time was right or she'd remind kody to use it against them. Kody liked having damn near 20 kids, but could not be a dad to any of them as they grew up past the " dad is great stage" ( about 7- or so) the kids started seeing kody liking his NEW family more cause that's what sobyn wanted. He'd bend over backwards for her...not for anyone else tho. Kody is lacking as a husband father and as a man...one day after sobyn divorces him...he will be alone and all he has done will come back to haunt him...too late...his OG 3 wives will have moved on...losing respect for him and his OG13 kids will have nothing yo do with him. And sobyn will turn h e r 5 against him...he will die a lonely man. And that's too bad it will have to end that way.
The family as a whole should have never left Vegas. The separate homes next to each other were the best situation...and if kody hadn't played favorites he could have had it ALL! But he went to bed with a demon...and her horns are starting to show...and her tail has BEEN showing for yrs...cause her best customer left it showing!!!

I think it’s also almost impossible when you have so many children to make sure to meet each one of their needs individually as a dad. We would literally have to be a full-time dad and be so intentional. There are almost no people who could do that in the world.

The tooth scene is definitely outside of consent and bodily autonomy for Gwen. You don't have to be triggered for that to be true.
Most cults contain this particular thread of lack of bodily autonomy. It conditions the women to allow touch and intrusion and lack of choice for their bodies and their experience. If they stay silent because it's just the way things are and it isn't alarming to them, then they comply with whatever the men want.

Knowing what we all know now, I cant believe they are still going to air the show. I honestly thought it would be cancled. I felt out of respect for Garrison it would be canceled. I have no intention to watch it. The whole this is disturbing and sad.
They haven't acknowledged on tv that polygamy isn't good for the kids, but i wonder if in private conversations they have talked about there kids and not getting enough attention, love and support.

I watched the docuseries Dancing for the Devil Saturday night. It was truly eye-opening. I had heard of that church somewhere but didn't know it was run by a psycho. Congrats on your collaboration! Love all the stuff you put out because I know you do your research, and it's the truth.

I’ll never forget how upset Leon was when they found out Robyn was pregnant. That was a very normal reaction. And then Robyn got upset people weren’t happy… but that was a real moment and those weren’t little kids, they knew the reality of the situation

2 don’t buy any products advertised on the show.
The show is on because people watch and they can sell advertising. Remove the revenue and the show is gone.
A large portion of us only see what Katie posts. I haven’t watched this since like season three. TLC has only EVER had a couple of shows that weren’t absolute trash. The Little Couple, The Little Family, Outdaughtered. None of them have been bad for the families and I think two shut down when they weren’t comfortable with what was being asked. LC shut down because of issues with the filming company. Since then I have not turned the channel on, period.
I stopped watching a long time ago, and I don’t have any plans watching now if it’s going to be back on!!

I no longer get Cable, so I will often watch streaming services that DO offer shows that I want to see. That said, this is one show I can't stomach without wanting to crawl through the TV screen and strangle Kody, so I appreciate Katie Joy's editorialized version!

OK, finally I see Ben sharing facts and an important perspective! Previously, I've tried to watch him, but he was kinda coming off as attention-seeking and my guard went up, because The Brown family has lied for over a decade now and at the very least, Kody is an attention-seeking Brown, so I didn't want to just start watching and believing Ben, only to find out he's actually not much different from his culture. Glad you brought this information in a video or I might not have given Ben another look.

I'm giving Kody's exes grace for their past for two reaspns:
1. Deconstruction takes time, they might not even realize at this point in time how damaging polygamy and too many kids was for their children
2. They might never be ready to face that how they lived for 30 years was wrong, that for 3 decades they lived a lie. A lie that damaged their children
Really liked what Ben had to say. No reason NOT to believe him. I hope he's watching his back tho. I do not trust Kody or Robyn...I'm sure Ben has been shunned from the family and rest of cult.
Besides the videos about Garrison and the horrible neglect by his father and tragedy that he took his own life which broke my heart to pieces, this video right here was the saddest one I’ve watched. Ben nailed it. You’ve done an amazing job exposing polygamy but Ben was an actual live witness and victim himself of what this religion\, lifestyle and culture is all about. My heart grieves even more for Mary, Christine, Janell and the children have had to endure all these years. It is all so messed up. The brainwashing and neglect is mind blowing. Robyn is a whole other topic. That terrible woman came into this family and ramped up all the pain, manipulation and neglect a thousand fold. She was Kody’s accomplice in every way and then went further to manipulating and controlling Kody. The train wreck that this family pre Robyn was unconscionable and cruel enough. Robyn just made the situation so much more painful and she seemed to take great pleasure in doing it. It is sick beyond belief. I hope Robyn’s kids get rescued and deprogrammed because they are just as messed up and controlled even though it is in a different way. When you see how TLC has messed up and destroyed family after family by exploiting their pain and even contributing to it for profit…….that network needs to be held accountable and banned from the airways.
Kody will be back on the Network, he doesn’t care about the death of his son. In Kody’s opinion, the show must go on. Not an ounce of Kody taking responsibility for not knowing his son was in turmoil, just needs that TLC money. Can we just imagine the chaos Robyn and Kody would display if they had to get real jobs?

I so agree with you, also I thought of Kody’s son Gabe when he was crying because Kody called him to ask about when Gabe was sick with Covid to ask him about some of his symptoms. Gabe thought he was calling to tell him happy birthday, Gabe was so heartbroken. I broke down and cried just listening to him, it was so sad. How can a father forget a child’s birthday 😢

I think it’s telling that in a family with 21 other people, (besides Kody) at least 20 of them have nothing to do with Robyn. I would think that if Robyn really was a kind loving trustworthy woman who loves genuinely, (which she says she is) I’d think she would have had bonds with at least some of them. She likes to claim she’s the scapegoat in the Brown family and was just blamed for Kody’s misdeeds and the jealous of the other wives but in all actuality, Robyn having no real relationships with any of the other 21 people says a lot about her as a person.
The idea of being one of four women sharing a man seems like such a no win: If the he guy is charming, attractive and engaged it would be normal to be unhappy about someone else having his company and …. If he’s gross like KB it would be great to palm him off on someone else, but what’s the point of being in the whole mess?
The family benefited from the show. Money wise. But it hurt them in the end. Including trying to make people think polygamy is a good thing.

I recall one of the older kids watching Kody holding one of Robyn's infant children, even the girls when Robyn was pregnant. They commented that they were never held like that as a child, nor were the other OG 13. When the cameras were rolling, they got to do fun things, but not when they were gone. That reminded me of my father. He was quite the opposite. He was very engaged with us all, but me in particular. He would take me everywhere, mostly for protection, but he knew my favorite things were and what I didn't like. I wasn't either parent's biological child, but my father was the real thing for me. After he passed away, so did my family. No more holidays, birthdays, nothing. My mother lived less than 2 miles away. Family would visit, but I didn't get a single phone call. Every photo of me has been destroyed, same with my Dad. Then, thousands of photos of my girls! She's cold in ways people are unaware of.

I think Meri was presented with Robyn & told to get on board but tell everyone it was her idea, the same way as the divorce. I also think she was presented with Janelle after Janelle had already told Kody she wanted to be his sister wife & Janelle then presented Christine to Kody. I don't think Meri had a choice if she wanted to stay with Kody.

It saddens me that Janelle, who is educated, and was not raised in Polygamy seems unwilling to end this relationahip completely and suck it up and speak to Meri, in order to sue Kody and Robyn to get monies owed from the Coyote Pass property. I teach small kids' body autonomy, and pulling a kids tooth when they are saying no is definitely teaching them that their voice and choice over there body doesn't matter. I was so disturbed by that clip on Sister wives.
