Makes me so angry that CPS put more attention into Jana than they did into the situation with Anna's kids. Anna should not have been allowed to refuse the kids to be interviewed.

Perhaps the "neighborhood," and officials are a bit biased when it comes to the Duggars, in a bad way. Probably fed up with them. Still, situation was handled very strangely on both sides to say the least.

CPS should have been called as soon as he was charged. Those kids shouldn’t be aloud to stay with her as she has no income hence the reason she’s living in the big house (Duggers).

Maybe Jim-Daddio-Bob didn’t let Jana get married previously because the younger kids were still too young and he needed her as a mother to his younger kids. Now the youngest kids are old enough to pretty much take care of and fend for themselves, so he’s allowing her to marry.

I suspect that this whole thing is a JimBob publicity stunt. Either JimBob has decided he needs more money so he has arranged for Jana to marry so he can get money from another Duggar wedding OR these photos and bridal registries have been set up so the Duggars can get some positive publicity. Either way this has all the markings of JimBob trying to make money.
I’ll never get over her saying that she didn’t know her niece. What did she think was going to happen? A Dugger would eventually come claim her and the police would know that Jana had been lying about recognizing her.

@@canadianalien370she was more scared of what Jim would do or think probably. There were some weird teachings in their church where parents would still beat their adult daughters who still live at home. Also they'd been taught not to trust police or speak to them.

Jana and Michelle have the exact same smile. What I mean is that there is nothing behind the smile. However, when you’re constantly made to smile there will be nothing behind it.

Jana had no helpful or intelligent instincts when the police came, only fear. Her parents taught her to deny and lawyer up. Those kids weren’t her responsibility, they were forced onto her, she wasn’t allowed to say no. She’s been forced to raise other people’s kids and siblings her entire life. Is it really a surprise one eventually slipped away? Maybe I’m a bad person, but I don’t even blame her all that much… Obviously it’s a bad situation, but shoot… Who knows how many kids I would have lost?! Her situation is so unfair. It’s even more likely she was forced to cover for her mother who could have been in charge that day, and that’s why her behavior was so bizarre. God forbid they put the blame on Anna! After everything with her brother, their father convinced them the governments after them, so she figured the police would do something evil to her and her mother, and accuse them of evil doings. So she tried to deny, defy, lawyer up, and then take all the blame. However, she made the situation ten times worse for herself, and created manifest destiny. She doesn’t see that her reaction caused suspicion and made her situation worse.
If this is true, it's only to make money.
Jana should get her own show but on HGTV doing realistic home makeovers. It would be a hit.

The boys stick with Jim Bob cause he helps them out financially. He just keeps the girls as built in childcare, then he hand picks their husband's and leaves it up to the new husband to support them. He helps the boys out with either jobs or financial help for a long time after they marry.

Why wouldn’t they stick with him? Men are worshipped in this cult. They can have what they want, when they want and daddy pays for everything they need as long as they listen. They are living large and taking advantage of a system designed to glorify them. They don’t want to leave because leaving for them means a reality check. The women are abused and taken advantage of. Leaving for them means freedom and healing.

I'm not believing anything unless I hear it from Jana herself. But the connection to a Mennonite church I find very very interesting as a Mennonite myself.......well, Canadian urban Mennonite anyway.
Could just be it was the best venue choice of church in the area based on aesthetics or location or size for the guests
I think JB is looking for a big pay out. If Jana ever gets married it would be a ratings boom. Literally everyone wants this girl to be set free from JB and if she is ever going to have a kid, she needs to get going! JB is desperate for money and the only thing anyone cares about now is seeing Jana get out of that house.
Jana acts like a trauma victim. and oldest daughters spend half their time being terrified they will get something wrong.
I feel bad that Jana got into trouble for the child endangerment thing because she’s been babysitting other people’s children since she was a very young child herself. She should not have to babysit children all day, every day but yet the Duggars are fine sticking her with that. After that much time doing it, of course something may one day happen that no one expected. Sounds like Jana was extremely tired and fell asleep. I agree she should have cooperated with law enforcement but that’s not what Jim Bob taught his kids anyway. Did you see Josh cooperating with law enforcement? Of course not.
Unfortunately, she lied about the situation. If she had only told the truth the consequences might have been much different. She was a grown adult when she did this.

Jana is constantly expected to babysit everybody’s kids including Annas. She had Annas kids one day and was tired and fell asleep and one of the girls got out of the house and wandered off.

JB is trying to get a deal with a studio to pay for the wedding. These little hints are just a way to judge interest and then a reason for the stuidos to pick it up for a special amd then that gives JB thr dollars. Jana will not see a dime if there is a special.

I’m sure that she called her parents. They called the lawyer that stopped her from going. I’m also sure that whatever she posted on social media was what her dad wanted her to say. Because everyone knows he controls their lives and she still lives there. This girl has watched children her entire life, I’m sure she was tired. Honestly, I think any adult which includes her siblings 18 and older and her parents they should’ve all been brought in. They shouldn’t have just been on Jana whether they were there at the time or not.

From interviews with Jill and Jinger, they mentioned that they (all) actually courted a while before people ever saw it on the show, so maybe Jana will do/did the same thing. Making sure her relationship will stick before it really gets known publicly.
I think Jim Bob has prevented Jana from getting married all these years because he and Michelle needed her to mother the younger children.
Nevertheless, if Jana is engaged I hope she can finally have a life now. I hope her fiancé and her can escape the cult and get out from living under Jim Bobs thumb.
the playroom video is confusing bc Josie is shown at the beginning and she seems really young but at the end, jessa talks to Fern going up the stairs. Fern is 2 so it has to be within the last year
I live near that area in Nebraska. There is a huge Mennonite community in that town and it probably is the closest to what the Duggars believe. All that to say idk that I believe the registry is real either.
Maybe they haven’t been in a long relationship. Maybe they called it quits so his family wouldn’t be pulled into the scandal, and now that things have calmed down, they have rekindled their courtship.

I dont know if anyone else has mentioned this, i havent looked at anyone elses comments. But it wouldn't surprise me if she were trolling everyone because I am good friends with another former reality television personality, and she told me that she and her family were tempted to do that considering all the gossiping people did about their family, and the constant speculating.
Maybe Jana sister in law and Jon David were Jana courtship followers and kept a close eye on the new couple because don't they need someone with them before they're newlywed! 24 7 supervisors?! I hope it's is the answers!
If she is engaged to Stephen Wissman then his family are like the Duggars. All home schooled, none of the older girls work outside of the home. A couple are married with young children born one year after the other. They also sell cds/dvds of them singing. JB will be delighted.

I hope it is true. Stephen is probably someone that would make Jana happy. Over the last few years when I have seen photos of Jana I thought she looked unhappy and truthfully a little haggard. The photo of her on Mothers Day with Michelle, I thought she looked like the old Jana. She appeared happy and she definitely had a sparkle about her. I hope it is because she is finally going to get a chance to lead her own life.

Something interesting that I hadn’t really considered before is that at Jana’s age (her and I are the same age, 34) it must be extremely difficult for her to find a significant other considering everyone in this world marries so young.

hopefully Jana does get married and disentangle from the IBLP though she probably waited so long because she's scared to have children after being a babysitter for her younger siblings for over 25 yrs. her first buddy in the buddy system would've been either Joseph or Josiah based on her age they got their first buddy at 6 yrs. old as revealed by Jill in her book Counting The Cost. as for the child endangerment charge believe it was a Misdomeanor offense which could've gotten max 2 yrs. in county jail

I hope for her it’s true. And I hope that once it is true that they break any agreements they might have with Jim Bob and just live their lives! If she can’t have freedom to leave and be the person she wants to be free of JB all on her own, this seems like it may be a decent backup choice. Anything is better than staying at home! Maybe she can just go visit Jill on a permanent basis?
