If you get all the way to the end, and you still accuse Preston of not paying child support, then you may have missed a key point of this video. PRESTON did not believe he owed child support because ROBYN closed the case in 2012. Robyn was making more money than Preston. When they divorced, Robyn left him nearly bankrupt. She spent around $30k on credit cards, and then HIS family bailed her out to pay off the debt. She didn't use it to pay the debt off. Thus, she walked away with the $30k in credit card debt. BUT he still had to pay back his family.
So she never paid back his family. He had NO MONEY due to her misspending. THen she continued to abuse him in court.
He sent whatever he could. But he was BROKE. During this time, he went back to school & worked double and triple shifts. Anything extra he had, he sent to her. Robyn closed the case & then back tracked. It's a mind f what she did to him.

Hmmm the medical bills and her credit debt are coincidentally right around the same amount. Also wondering, was that lean on her house taken out of her equity when she sold it? Did Kodster pay it off before it sold (or Meri and Janelle as they paid her premarital debt before?) Yet Robyn got her downpayment for her McMansion from Meri and Janelle?

You might have addressed this and I just wasn’t paying close enough attention, but was there an order stating that Preston no longer owed support? Because technically that’s the only way support can stop. CSED is just enforcing an order, it’s the order that makes him obligated to pay. TONS of non-custodial parents pay the custodial parents directly and the state is never involved.
However, I do think Robyn manipulated Preston into thinking that he didn’t owe (if the order didn’t change)
And yes, I work for a child support agency. Also, I completely apologize if I missed where you talked about the order changing.

Not only did he not help pay for the surgery, he couldn’t even be bothered to GO to the surgery for his BIOLOGICAL daughter. That’s what makes this even more twisted than a normal twist in disgusting situations like this.
In fairness none of them did. Maddie's appendix burst a while back and it cost Janelle and Kody a pretty penny. It cost Christine a lot when Truely was sick and she had to pay a bit before Ysabel got her surgery.

This is so common in polygamist families & is so appalling. How irresponsible to not secure insurance for children either privately, if the parents have income, - as the Brown’s did once they had a TV show - or thru Medicaid if the parents don’t have adequate income.

Funny isn’t it? What’s even funnier is why didn’t Christine see this and pursue Kody through the court system? Kodster would’ve had to pay not only for Ysabel but also Truely’s hospitalization. Guess Kodster knows how he’ll be treated when Robyn moves on with Arielle and Solomon. When will she accuse Kody of doing the same thing to them that she falsely accused Preston.
Surprisingly this kind of nonsense happens in family court all the time. It’s a real white trash move that some women will do thinking they will score court points. Problem is when child protective services doesn’t back their claim, then the courts look down on them. I’ve seen mothers lose legal custody just for doing this kind of nonsense.

It was probably because Preston was fighting the kids being filmed and if he adopted the kids he and Robyn would make that call and not Preston.
@@Sar-ahGno, usually it's split 50/50 but the judge will decide how much each parent pays for medical expenses. For example, the judge order my ex-husband to pay 70% of our son's medical expenses, I didn't ask for him to pay anything but that's what he was ordered to pay.

I'm not saying that a person cannot be s.a.'ed by a romantic partner,a boyfriend or a spouse but she had two more kids with him after he supposedly "stole her purity" and I sincerely wonder if she didn't get pregnant on purpose. Lets not forget that originally Preston was not even remotely interested in Robyn and liked her sister Fawn. Jessop is a pretty popular name in their faith after all so maybe it was a status thing? As someone who lost their viginity as a result of a s.a. I find her comments so repulsive because the basic implication is she was begged and when push came to shove Preston didn't care enough or respect her enough to respect her saying no. I was told by the person who s.a.'ed me that I didn't say no. (Funny,"Let me out of this room." and "I dont' want to do this." sounds like no to me.) I was told that I should be grateful that at least I was with someone who "loved" me and that it was better to let him because at least he'd be nice about things but in Robyn's case it's more like she had buyer's remorse. We seen Robyn manipulate the kids about Christine not attending thanksgiving. She made it such a big deal and made it feel personal that Christine was going out of town. Robyn is super controlling and manipulative.

If I had a child that went to school with the kids I would have my kids show them the truth. I wish his family could speak out more about everything that Robyn put him through, maybe paid interviews to help with Preston’s treatment or something to help him heal. There are ways to make it easier to beat cancer that are so simple if people would trust the method. I’ve been to a place that does that & wish I could send him to do the treatment while his new family can be with him to enjoy his free time especially since it’s located at a very beautiful vacation spot but enough away from the noise to be able to really heal in a unique but very effective way!
I hope when those kids grow up and learn the truth, they slap a huge lawsuit on TLC for allowing this to happen. A loving father deprived of his children, and stuck with a narcissist. It's disgusting.

I just rewatched over the weekend the episode where she tells this "purity story". She called it the biggest mistake of her life. She was questioning her faith, kinda being a rowdy girl, running around with a boy, kissing and she admitted getting carried away. Now, please explain to me how that is sexual assault! They grew up in a home where from the time their met Kody they were told,"He is your father." and taught to obey. They were love bombed and rewarded but more then that they watched their other "siblings" being treated horribly by their father. All three of the elder children were taught that if they did what they were told they would be given everything and if they didn't Kody would scream and hollar and who did they have as backup? Robyn? Nope! She agrees with Kody every time. Yes,they are adults but they watched Kody mistreat his other kids,they watched him attempt to kick Gabe and Garrison out of Janelle's house and they had to hear,from their own mother,about how their bio dad stole her purity and didn't love them. They have learned this. It's a pattern that's been held for years and they don't know any different. They have isolated,brainwashed and lovebombed them so much that they genuinely believe that Preston is the villian when in truth the villian is the one preventing them from seeing him.
She has handicapped her kids. She wont let them grow up. She has to be in complete control.

When I married my 2nd husband, he took on all my kid's expenses. He did this willingly because when he married me, he married them. No adoption required...he just loved them. This is what a real man and father does. Kody is disgusting.
I feel so badly for Robyn’s ex-husband. And it is so sad when a person has no money to pay an attorney to fight for his rights. Had he the money for legal fees, I can tell you that he, the real dad, would have custody! And where is Merri in all of this? I feel dreadful for her too. Kody and Robyn’s song and dance to her was that Kody could not adopt Robyn’s kids unless Kody and Robyn were married. Again, here is Merri desperately needing legal council because Kody and Robyn lied about that. The poor girl ended a twenty something year marriage for no reason. However, on that note, it miraculously worked out that it was a good thing that she and Kody were not legally bound. If so, she would still be with them working to support them with no marital relief on her side. These two, Kody and Robyn , are vicious to anyone , ANYONE, who gets in the way of what they want. I do hope these two reap what they sew and those they have hurt get compensated in every way eventually.
Remember, Robyn was also the one who didn't want Meri to have the 'Loan' for the B&B without a "Plan". Meri had a plan. To run it as it had been, making improvements as she saw fit.
Just like Robyn had an actual 'hate face' when Meri said she couldn't work as much on 'My Sisterwives Closet', because she wanted to go back to College to get her Degree....who does that !?!
In Calif. you have to be married and live with kids for at least 3 years. That’s how I found out I was not legally married.

My sister has a blended family and we have all learned to make the focus about hte kids. Her ex husband is still close to all of us and we made a rule to not say anything bad about my brother in law's ex to his kids. I have seven nephews,I love them all and even though it's hard you don't disparage their parents. It's just not healthy in co-parenting. Robyn doesn't want to co-parent. I'm sure if something happened to Preston she'd be fine with it because she already removed him from the kids lives anyway.

When I went thru a divorce I was told very clearly that even if my ex didn’t pay, I still had to let the kids visit. One has nothing to do with the other.

Robyn's kids have been gaslit and brainwashed to an insane degree. They've heard for years that their father basically s.a.'ed their mom,ignored them and doesn't want them. Meanwhile,Papa Kody is lovebombing them and became their dad from almost the word jump. Robyn literally had them calling him daddy before they were married and then there's that weird picture. She erased Preston from their lives so completely and put Kody in his place in such a way that these kids have no concept of what their dad is enduring. I just hope he doesn't die or anything before they get a chance to see him again.

A similar thing happened to my dad when he was young. First wife left him and took his kids ten states away and wouldn’t allow him to see them. Made all kinds of accusations against him to her new spouse and the kids. After years of this she demands he give up his rights so the new man can adopt them. He ends up doing it. Meanwhile not knowing his kids did not wish for this and they were being abused by the new guy. It tore him apart when he found out the truth and he never got over it. Don’t give up your rights to your children if you love them. 😔

He wasn't going to get a straight answer from Robyn,he knew that so he went to Dayton and you know what? He's 100% within his rights as a father to ask,"What happened?" . Maybe if Robyn and Kody actually were responsible adults they'd have gotten their kids some insurance so that way they wouldn't have to demand money for something that didn't even happen on Preston's watch. No wonder Truely was scared to learn to ride a bike from Kody! He couldn't even make sure that a teenager didn't flip an RV into a fence and I get it accidents happen but ffs look at the things that have taken place when Kody is supposed to parenting his children . Truely nearly dies of a kidney infection, Mykelti nearly breaks her flippin hip and the whole thing with Dayon and the RV. Does anyone else think that if this happened it was just one of the adult boys in the family or one of the other wives Kody wouldn't be pitching a fit? He blames everyone else when he fails. He blamed the wives when he failed at plural marriage,he blamed the other wives for his sh*t relationship with the kids and he blames Preston for the accident? How is it Preston's fault and why should he have to pay for Kody lack of supervision and incompetence?

Question: How does Kody have enough money to pay for Dayton’s ER & medical bills from the ATV accident, but he had no money to pay for or towards Truly’s hospitalization as an infant or Isobel’s spine surgery? Christine was paying off Truly’s care for years & busted her butt w/ her MLM businesses to earn enough for her other daughter’s spine surgery. If I recall, Truly was severely dehydrated when admitted to the hospital & Kody had been the person caring for her at that time.
The worst part is that TLC can get always with all of it by pretending to "not know" what was going on so they can't be sued!

I really hope that those kids begin to see through her manipulation & lies as they mature. My mother pulled this crap too. By my late 20's, with kids of my own, I began to see how much of what she said & did was to feed her victim mentality. As she lost control, she made false allegations of abuse to police & child services, so I had to end the relationship altogether.
The thing is they also see what happens when they disobey or don't toe the line with Kody. They saw first hand what happened to their siblings and how crappy he was to them. Reading up on Preston's situation and it doesn't sound good. I hope the spell breaks and these kids insist upon seeing him because they may not get a chance. Not saying he's on his deathbed but he's not well either so if Robyn had one ounce of sympathy she should be sending her kids to see their dad as soon as possible.

Other than the mom being on tv, something similar happened to my dad and his children with his ex-wife. My dad was absolutely heartbroken. She cashed the child support checks at her local bat. Their mom would call my dad drunk and when she was told not to call anymore, she promised the kids were hers and any grandchildren would only be hers. She was able to keep the promise she made to my dad. The kids changed their last name to their stepdad of a couple of years (I understand they weren’t married long) and he only saw his kids a few times after this. She also lied on divorce documents that he abused her, as the state was not a no-fault state at the time. However, she was having an affair with a mutual friend who served my dad the divorce papers. So, this horrible behavior happened 60 years ago and still continues to happen today. Robyn used the kids as pawns in her plan to become Kody’s legal wife and for storylines. Absolutely disgusting. Preston and the kids were victims of the fallout.
Wished he would get an attorney and take Robyn to court and file for slander and all the threats on her side and what she has done. The kids are now old enought to go to court and tell the truth of what has happened all these years towards their dad. I bet you will find an attorney that would K d be more than happy to do it and go after TLC for promoting that horrible mess. Those kids will eventually find the truth out and will hate Robyn and Kody. I have seen it happen to 3 different people.
It’s been more than 10yrs, not sure they could now. Also, the kids are now adults and have been brainwashed or to scared to speak out! Do any of them work? if not they are financially dependent on Kody/Robyn.
I wonder how her kids feel seeing the texts that their dad was actively always trying to talk to them and their mom always had excuses to not let him talk to them. They thought their dad abandoned them and didn’t care when their mom probably hid the fact that he was trying

My mum did this. I am so grateful that my dad has lived to an old age as its taken 40 years to fix. I now watch my sister do the same thing to her kids, and it hurts my soul. I am a mum. Dads are important and should not be cut out because of grown-up anger. I deserved to have a dad who loved me regardless of my mother's opinion. We just saw Kody doing dishes at Robyn’s house. Did we ever see him do dishes at anyone else’s home? If they are all supposed to be equal, that is definitely pushing the boundaries.
I hate this story. All of it is terrible, the isolation of the kids real father, the changing of David's name, and mostly the accident that hurt him. I feel so sorry for him having to go through that and the pain and fear he had to of gone through. I just hope that he is able to put that behind him and is happy in his life.
My mother had our father’s parental rights severed when we were 6 and 7 so her second husband could adopt us. It is a horrible thing to do. We had an occasional relationship w/him beginning when we were in our twenties; but it didn’t “take” until our early 50s. We r in our mid 60s now. Our step father was abusive. We often think about what our lives would have been like had we had him in our lives growing up..,,, Robyn is a horrible person.
I pray to God those children learn the truth and everything Robyn has done to destroy their father and their relationship with him! Kody and Robyn are right up there with Kate Gosselin! What else have they lied about... Everything!!

If Robyn were to pass away the Browns would have to return the children to Jessup even after adoption if he wanted them. And get this. Because Kody adopted them, he could be ordered to pay Jessup child support.
