Finding this video now is crazy! Thanks TH-cam algorithm! I have also improved from around 27 up to 34 in vert these past few months! But at 5'8 with a standing reach of 7'4, I can only put half of my fingers above the rim and can't grab it yet. I'll definitely change it this year!
I dunk w my man a lot. All he does is stay consistent and dunk and practice form everyday we have been hopping since this summer and he has improved a lot. Just stay dedicated to the grind 💯
@@evandunks4281 my workout was. 30 outward calf raises 30 inward calf raises 30 reg calf raises 25 squats (2 sets) 15 lunges (3 sets) 15 Split leg squats ( basically a lingering but u jump up in that position) (2 sets) And momentum jumps. Do this daily or at least 3 times a week. Best of luck!
I mainly jumped every day and was very consistent, spending hours jumping and dunking on low rims. I seen gains while doing uphill sprints and depth jumps as well as squats and deadlifts

It depends on the severity, I had minor pain in my knees and the more I jumped and my body got used to landing over and over, it went away. However if your jumpers knee is very painful I would stop jumping and work on recovery. Otherwise your going to have chronic knee pain
Not until it heals what you need to do is squats and split lunches and make sure to ice it right after. Do squats for 45 seconds 15 second pause do split lunches 45 15 pause and do that for 10 minutes
Do I need to perfect first my jumping technique and approach before using any weights? Because my jumping technique is bad and my strength can't transfer effectively

I'm basically exactly the same 5'7 at 13 with a 27-28 standing vertical and around 30-32 max vertical. Hopefully I can get to 40 in a year or so
