The simple pleasure of pottering about in boats on a calm sunny day. So enjoyable. The moment when you ran a little quick and got that slight plane with the water sloping up off the stern took me right back to my dad's zodiac. A 9hp motor can push a little boat along pretty darn well.

Changing bearings in parking lots and along the roads is such a blast….worth the extra trouble to have vivid memories of the trip. Happy trails, and thanks for being real.

Hey man this model / year does not have a thermostat (thermostats were added to models after 1992/1993). There should be two holes (look like nostrils) just below the lock/unlock handle. The water shoots out of there. I’ve had this outboard for almost 5 years and it runs strong.
Whenever you sprayed water Into the line did it come back out of the line or somewhere else. I just had mine apart and sprayed water into the line and it came flying back out of a tiny hole near the line. Trying to find out if it’s supposed to be there or not
Hey Cheez ya know where I could get the light switch cable not sure if that's the right term but basically all my light switches for blinkers and headlight needa be replaced for my HAWK 250 preferably a better switch cluster than the stock?

I've had it happen to me before, after running the motor for a minute and if all.ofnyour gaskets on the fuel pump, and the bulb, hose, and fuel connectors are all solid, it can actually draw a vacuum on the old tanks without vents and the fuel pump diaphragm can't overcome the negative pressure (or lack of pressure I should say)

Late to the game but doesnt a lot/most of fuel connectors have a one way valve in them that closes off until said connector is plugged into the one on the engine? I don't think there was anything wrong with your new connector. But I think the top pee hole was still plugged and that the fuel issue was only the pump.
It was actually the primer which acts as a vent so the primer bulb has a hole in the end of it so when you push it your thumb blocks it and then it forces fuel into the intake. It's a strangest thing but that's how it works

Those weeds that you keep getting caught in the water intake are called milfoil (not milf oil) and they're choking all the lakes in New Hampshire. They block the sunlight so that kills the things down below them that the 🐟 eat. Another great video thanks 🧀! Interesting story about the train..
So that's where the thermostat is... You have to remove the power head to get to it? Glad I cleared it out.
I didn't hear OMC went bankrupt.
Now on to the 69 Johnson 9.5 HP I picked up...
@@MotoCheez it's supposed to be attached to the thing with two holes in it where the water pisses out. It's in there somewhere.. and you and your Johnson's my God!
🤣😂😆👍
The motor will never pump water 4-5 " above the water level. It has to be submerged.
These impellers pump pretty high, on an I/O it has to pump almost 2 feet. I know it'll spray water 5 feet in the air too
I still think you should change the impeller..
The new one came in.
Been there, done that! 😉👎! Fuel pump is an easy fix though.
👍
For a second when you started the vid I thought your were going to make mini Amphibious. 😅 Now wouldn't that be cool if it was possible?😅
I wish. If the pontoon would hold it ... Be nice
🔥🔥🔥
Hiya!

Finally got my Raven all put together and rode for the first time today!Sweet!! It's a tall steed but fits me well.
Awesome!
I'd say that train was in auto mode
Wow, you spent .03 to make a gasket.
Prostate problems are HARD to diagnos in a little motor..".that's what she said"....stop and start, nothing coming out...sometimes can't start or stop....oh, try those nice 3"-4" rubber swim baits...maybe white or pink...I hear tell they better than spinners...later MOTO
They do work good. I didn't have any with me
Press 8 wait 2 seconds press 8 again. Repeat. You almost get the whole song.
Over capacity
Prolly!😁
I didn't.knkw Jersey Mike's had cheese steaks. I'll have to go there.
Wasn't bad for a chain store.
@@MotoCheez where I live there's pretty much only chain stores. I'm not aware of any "Mom & Pop" sandwich shops.
Dayum. That's crazy
starting fluid
I typically don't like using starting fluid on a two-stroke engine since the oil is mixed with the gas for lubricant
That river should be named mossy river... density a fuel pump problem... i was right.. the fuel pump
Hi

How?
@@MotoCheez I don't see any other comments.

😓
up to 9.9 no registration dude
Not true, almost every state requires registration on anything propelled by battery or gas. That included trolling motors
The 9.9hp is good for restricted lakes with low HP
Sometimes she goes... sometimes she doesn't.
to sloowwwwwwww again
😎
Dude you’re missing the smiley face gasket…
Yep!
🐸 💨
Hahaha haha I can't believe you still believe in the weather man probably Santa Claus also haha, 🤔😂 seriously that little motor is worth towing a rebuilt kit on. Hope you get to go to go fishing without having to worry about your boat motor breaking down.
Nah. The weather man is always wrong. I did order rebuild kit.
🦈 can you say Motochezz
persistence pays off, you finally got it fixed -- great job! "2 whore power" i'm dyin'! too funny. :-) i've heard good things about joisey mike's; i'll have to try it.
Larg mouth bass try yums its green kinda looks like a frog plastic bait and a jig set up works good. Jerry's mike is perty good I ate to of the biggest sandwich full the first day they open in my town the manger said if I could do it in under 25 min there free he didn't think I could finish it because I'm not very big of a guy but was he wrong they were free.👍👌✌️💯🥂🥖
I have a mouse I was going to try. I used to have that frog but can't find it.
Free us good!
Fuel line is too long.
It was the primer, hose had to be vented. Primer has hole on top 9f bulb. Line Can't be blocked off because it's the vent for the carb
Heyyyy cheezy
Lol......cardinal rule of buying used boat motors.....clean carb/kit...change impeller....change plugs.....fuel pump kit...🤣🤣😂 I've been there..sucks
Beep
Meep
Quit showing the long shaft, shift, is a family show.
