I'll probably definitely get those because those are awesome consoles and game cartridges that I would defintely play and have tons of fun on!!
Just download fusion emulator and play whatever genesis, mega cd, 32x game you want, there is no need to spend a single money on retro consoles

I've got the exact same setup at home! Except I use a Mega Everdrive cartridge to play games on. Saves me the hassle of exchanging carts and their associate problems, as seen in this video.

The amount of times I’ve watched this video over the last 10 years is insane.
Sega Megadrive, Complete edition.
That tv was 32" The picture quality was down to using a Shinybow SB-2840 Scart to Component adapter. It does an amaing job of taking an RGB signal and converting to YUV for HD tv's.
Cool! But it did not run well with the intro of sonic cd tho! XD!

Too bad the Genesis, unlike the Super Nintendo, slows down a lot when switching to pal.
At least they fixed this from Sonic 2, while 1 is stuck with low speed.
I thought the whole series was gonna be slo-mo but now you confirmed me that I could consider picking an European Genesis since I live there.
Also what happened to the colors during the CD intro?
The Super Nintendo also had complications with slow downs in the PAL version of the console. The Pal consoles are essentially slower due to their frame rate. I suppose you mean the soundtrack in sonic 1 sounded particularly slower compared to the NTSC-U and NTSC-J versions. Although sonic 1 mechanics were a bit floaty. Elaborate on what you meant by “when switching to pal” if you could please.
@@sargonzaya2253 I mean that the Genesis is much slower than the SNES when comparing it to their NTSC versions.
I have a PAL SNES and when I play it nothing feels wrong.
I can only tell it's slower when comparing it to NTSC or just because I know it.
While PAL Gen. is too slow (reference not intended) it immediatly feels wrong, like if it was playing on slow-mo.
Too bad patches didn't exist back then, because they could've updated 1 after they made 2 run at original speed.

Always wanted a 32X as a kid although I never really knew what it actually did! Sonic games made the megadrive! (genesis) oh and ecco the dolphin!

What size is your tv? Also, is it full hd and what cables are you using to connect the mega drive? The picture looks superb.

@@candjim this made me realise how far I've come in 9 years 😂 been using rgb scart with the Framemeister/ossc for years now, between using my Analogue Mega SG (worth a look if you've not heard of them). It's nice that there's so many options available now.

Hmph looks like Knuckles Chaotix runs better on a European 32x than a North American one like my own. You win this round Europe.
Do sprites slowdown or blink too often? Btw this game got some unstable booting process, so sometimes it's not dirt but one processor being not too ready when powering on (so reset should be enough)
@MusashiPlays XP I completely forgot this comment. Nice to know, sprites tend to blink a lot on Picodrive emu

I want one.. finding a Mega Drive is not a problem but where can I get the Mega CD and 32X cheaply?
I just bought a 32X (Genesis version) and PAL Mega Drive II (both switched region modded) for like £180 on eBay UK, not "cheap" but not long ago the 32X on its own was going for £215 and up so it was a good deal relatively speaking and gives me a dedicated 32X system which is good for reasons below.
For Mega-CD I use the FPGA Mega-CD in the Mega Everdrive Pro on my Mega Drive 1 PAL VA4 (switchless region modded). That one can of course also still run other things that the 32X would break: the SVP version of Virtua Racing, Master System games (including with FM Sound), and if I had it, Paprium - ha ha.
The only benefits of a real Mega-CD would be being able to play both 32X and Mega-CD games on one Mega Drive, as well as being able to play the like 5 "Mega-CD 32X" games. Also bear in mind (just in case) that a Mega Drive 1 PAL VA4 & 32X combo would require an official capacitor mod to work properly.

what's the difference between USA Sega CD/European Sega Mega Drive?
The usa Sega CD is equivalent to the eu Mega CD. The Genesis to the MegaDrive and the Sega 32X to the MegaDrive 32X.
The us stuff are NTSC-U (60Hz) while the eu ones are PAL (50Hz) (slower refresh rate but with better color reproduction)

You know how ridiculous the Genesis looks with the Sega CD and 32X add-ons attached to it because it looks cluttered (Or as would Mark from Classic Game Room would say "The Sega Clusterfuck")? Well, what I'm saying is if you want to make your Sega consoles less cluttered, then get a Sega Power Strip and plug in a Genesis (Model 1 or model 2), a Sega CDX or a JVC X'Eye, another Genesis (Model 1 or model 2) with a 32X add-on plugged into it, and a Saturn or a Dreamcast. That way you can have a standalone Genesis, a standalone Sega CD, a standalone 32X, and a standalone Saturn or a standalone Dreamcast. Makes sense, right?
Dustin Nunn nothing you said makes any sense having the consoles as standalone’s this is old school gaming the consoles work as one when they are all together they are standalone its not really difficult to change out a few carts is it unless your to lazy to do it
