This model 1 is essentially the same chip as a model 2 from 1992 that would come with Sonic 2 game cartridge. Yes the model 2 did output stereo sound as well at least the early production Sonic 2 ones did from later 1992 to early 1994. Later model 2s I think it wasn't an option anymore when they really cheapened those out.

Cool I found my old Sega Megadrive today with Sonic The Hedgehog still in the box with manual but the Megadrive isn't boxed but I still have the manual for it lol
Those are the 6 button controllers. They came out later in the Genesis's lifespan for fighting games. A stock Genesis only comes with the 3 button controller since those are the original controller.

Nope it is poop, horrible sound, not compatible with lock-on, 32x and Sega CD, and the design sucks, better buying a real Genesis, even the model 2 has a better sound than this AtGames trash
1.rip toys r us 2. Don't get at games. Its actually trash it uses wireless controllers so its easily lost and if a single Lego block gets in the way of the light on the top of the controller then it will not work

You can play the Donkey Kong Country trilogy, Mega Man X, Mario All-Stars + Mario World, Final Fantasy, Zelda.. On Gen you got a lot of great arcade-type games but SNES has de mastapeeces in my opinion.
SNES is superior to the Genesis mainly, but it has no Blast Processing. On the SNES, you will find normally family friendly games, violent games will appear, but they will be censored; on the Genesis, you'll find normally arcade based games, and the violent ones will not be censored. SNES has Super Mario games too like the NES and Sonic games made their debut on the Genesis. Some ports of certain games will be better on the SNES and others on the Genesis. It just depends on what you want.
You're talking about the 6 button controller, the redesign of that controller in the video (3 button controller) mostly used in Genesis Model 1. These that you are talking about are controllers used in Model 2, but you can also use in Model 1 too
