Me too only Houston, Texas. I just bought this game thing that plays Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Sega all together. The little music brings me back... then I would play Echo the Dolphin on Sega. Ohhh the memories. Our cousins would come over and we’d play all night.. then it was Super Nintendo and Yoshi.. then it was Nintendo 64 and Donkey Kong.. I am an OG gamer 🤣. My son is playing right now and he loves it.

This was the first game I ever played on a games console as a little kid. I still remember the first time I played it and the excitement after I got the invincibility on Green Hill Zone. I came back to this game a few years ago and finally completed it on my phone.

Its easy to make them cause this games loading screens are plain black. And its on a emulator since the sound emulation sucks and its stretched. And its literally impossible to get all the chaos emeralds on one run. Unless you have some dedication that puts my dads dedication of buying milk to shame.
I think this is certainly one of the best games ever made. The levels are beautiful, wonderfully designed, challenging (in a good way) music sticks with you forever and amazing playability. Despite 30 years of technology advances, few games can compel and enrapture you as sonic did.

My older brother had this game. I remember him bringing it home. I was up all night with really bad ear ache. I had missed school and was being seen by the Ear Nose and Throat specialist. It was to painful to lie down, but I somehow managed to sit up, my shoulder pressed up against my ear. In agony and blinking away tears, I somehow managed to finish this game. At the time I thought it was a great accomplishment. My brother wasn't to fond of the Megadrive/Genesis. He was more of an Atari St and Amiga guy. I enjoyed both systems.
Ahh part of my childhood right here. Christmas morning 1991 on the trusty ol Mega Drive playing this genius creation of a game for hours. And now we have a great Sonic film to compliment the game. Amazing to think it took around 29 years to arrive on the big screen. So much happens in a quarter century of time. We grow up so fast.
this is emotional for me... this game was among the first games I've ever played although I had never been able to finish the act 1. I always saw my brother (then a school boy, now 38) playing it like it was easy. His friends often came to our house. We had the console up until the new century. Whenever I see a loop like that I always think of Sonic. :')
