Действие Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 стартует спустя небольшой промежуток времени после событий Sonic the Hedgehog CD. После того как Соник освободил Маленькую Планету от тотальной роботизации Доктора Эггмана, синий ёж обнаруживает, что доктор не собирается успокаиваться просто так и в очередной раз активирует роботов и старые заводы на территории тех мест, которые Соник ранее освобождал. Однако, на сей раз доктор не торопится в открытую посвящать Соника в свои дела и попросту занимается отстройкой баз на территории Зеленых Холмов, Казино Парка, Древних Руин и своего старого завода в Метрополисе. Соник намерен в очередной раз освободить эти земли от влияния доктора и остановить его очередной план по захвату мира, что бы он в итоге не подразумевал. Приятного просмотра!!!

I'd love to see Episode 3 too, but Sonic Mania and Sonic Origins performed much better for SEGA. Which means classics in the future will be centered around those tittles.

The Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 soundtrack is one of the pluses of this game. I personally replayed this game often and enjoyed listening to these great tracks.

Dimps is known for putting a lot of bottomless pits in the Sonic games that they work on, especially the Sonic Advance and Rush trilogies. Dimps also made both episodes of Sonic 4, the 3DS versions of Sonic Generations and Lost World, and the Wii/PS2 versions of Sonic Unleashee.
@@casultaser The list of Sonic the Hedgehog works I'm familiar with. I've played all the parts. And overall Dimps did a pretty good job with most of the games. The only thing I didn't like was the too many night levels compared to day levels in Sonic Unleashed Wii/PlayStation 2 version and Sonic Lost World (I don't like both versions of that game).
I agree that in the PS2 and Wii version of Sonic Unleashed, the developers went overboard with the number of night levels. They get boring, especially towards the end of the game. And I don't consider Sonic Lost World a part of the franchise at all. This game could be anything but a Sonic game.

Man, this game has aged really badly. But I don't consider it that bad, I think it's better than many other platform Sonic games. I found everything in the game creative, even though it has some... Irritants parts.
In my opinion Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 (specifically Episode 1), does not pass the test of time. I also think it's a good game, but it could have been even better. The music and overall style of the game is still top notch, but it's the gameplay decisions that can't compete with any other Sonic game from the classic era. Actually, in my opinion, Sonic Generations had a much better gameplay for Classic Sonic.

I know what the gaming community's opinion is on Sonic the Hedgehog 4, but this game didn't cause me any pain. The game does have a lot of problems that make it hard to call it good, but I wouldn't call it a complete failure either.
Fun fact: if you turn into super sonic during lost labyrinth 2 the act turns into world of brightness

It feels a bit wrong to have 3 pixelated games and then straight to 3D modern sonic I would rather it at least just be not pixelated but still cartoony and 2d idk about you guys but this is just my opinion
If you mean that after the third part in 16 bit comes the fourth part with near-modern graphics, then it's not. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 was released in 2010, 16 years after Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

@@SinistersDen ну, для меня соник остался в эпохе сега, когда были первая часть, вторая, третья; еще яна дрикасте играл в адвенчур 1 и 2, и както больше соником особо не интеремовался; а так вот сейчас глянул, некая четверта часть, видимо относительно уже более новая по соавнению с вышескащанными, но она мне както первые три напомнила. А так то сам в нее я не играл

I got problems with the last special stage in Sonic 4 episode 2, and I just can't get the last Chaos Emeralds.
The last Special Stage is really a bit tricky. When I first played the game myself, I couldn't get through it for quite a long time. But after practicing, it all worked out. Or you can try to pass with the second player.
Yeah, 2nd player won't let me, plus I play the game on Android
Man playing on controller could be much easier when getting chaos Emeralds, because I’m on mobile and it’s harder cuz I gotta tilt my phone a bunch of times
Well on mobile devices there is at least some challenge in getting emeralds. In the older version this mini-game is elementary to the point of outrageousness.

Блин, вот игра вроде бы и провальная, но вроде бы и нет. Да и впринципе разрабы постарались. Но вот про моментум говорить не надо, моментум могут добавить только в 2д игры, а это уже 2,5д игра
Дело не только в так называемом моментуме. Проблема и в физике самого ежа, который крайне неотзывчив и медлителен. Так же динамику рушит самонаводящаяся атака, которая в 2D совершенно не нужна.

If this game wasn't meant to be mobile only it could have been great. Even when I was younger I tried to like this but never played much.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 didn't just come out on cell phones. You can play this part on PC.

@@N0VAST4R4 If I remember correctly, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 was released on iOS first and only a few days later this game was released for consoles. For mobile platforms there are even exclusive stages made for mobile control.

I genuinely don't hate this game or its Episode II and I think it has a place in the 2D Sonic series. It feels like this takes place after Superstars and leads into Adventure. Another special thing about this game is that it has Spin Jump, which Sonic Mania does not rather replacing it with Drop Dash. Drop Dash is also of course in Superstars and Origins. Spin Jump AND Drop Dash should be added as well so that both are available in Sonic X Shadow and future Sonic games. (Hold for Drop Dash, double tap for Spin)
I'm not sure if SEGA is now accounting for the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 within the canon of the series. Initially they said that Sonic the Hedgehog 4 came after Sonic CD and before Sonic Adventure, but now Sonic Mania is also part of the canon and it's unclear what time frame it's in. Same with Sonic SuperStars. It's not at all clear what place it occupies in the canon timeline.

@@NickMartinproductions In Sonic CD probably couldn't, for a newbie to the whole Dr. Eggman thing. But later on in Superstars you can see that she's really good at dealing with problems on her own.

Why haven’t they made this game available for the Nintendo switch? The switch has the same controllers as the Xbox, so it shouldn’t be difficult at all for them to transfer it over to the switch…if they were able to make a game compatible for the x box, then why cant they make the same game available for the switch if the switch has the same controllers?
It's likely that Sonic the Hedgehog 4 as a whole has been sidelined as an unprofitable project for SEGA. This game did not meet SEGA's expectations and therefore they see no point in porting it somewhere else or developing new episodes.

Here's my opinion on this game even though I've never played it: Sonic's sprite looks oddly like a Happy Meal toy, the movement looks awkward, the music gave me a headache, and the momentum looks so off.
You'll hate it more on mobile

It is not known for sure, but it can be assumed that SEGA was not satisfied with the results of the release of Episode 2. Apparently, they thought that the release of Episode 3 would fail or few people would be interested.

If a game has bugs and flaws, any player can speak up about it, especially if they give normal arguments for their opinion. But in the case of Sonic 2006 and Shadow the Hedgehog it turned into whining, which sometimes is not reasoned at all.

Дело вкуса каждого. Я фанат классической эры, но не принижаю 3D проекты (кроме Сливца, Форсов и ремастер Калорсов - это шлак).
