There is a lot you can do to stand out in an interview. But there are somethings you should not say. Saying the wrong thing can cost you the government job. In this video, I share some of my federal government interview experience and discuss some key things you should avoid or at least put thought into before conducting your federal government interview. Getting through the interview is one of the last challenges in getting the federal government job.

I would never dream of saying “I do not know” to a question. Always pivot!

Another worst thing, I have PhD, but no work experience.... we didn't even interview them.

Great points that I don't think a lot of people talk about. As an employer I can say that you are spot on!

Would love to hear more about the 0300 series. Currently am a 0080 but am hoping to branch out to a new series through 0201 or something potentially in 0300. Thanks for all your great content!

Hey, could you discuss the background checks and issues with that. I'd like to hear about that, particularly "inconsistencies"

Gr8 videos. Quick question. Is there a time limit on how long I would have to sign on, once I receive a firm/final offer? And once I sign I won't be able to accept another offer, right? Thank you for the videos. Informative!!

Thanks for watching! Usually a time frame is given such as 2 or 3 days. Once you accept a job offer you can still accept other offers. This is preferable as there are no guarantees until you show up on your first day.

@@armandcuret1 thank you for the response Armand. So probationary period of usually 1 year sets in after 1st day of showing up. Pardon me if I got it wrong, probation period means that I can't work at any other federal job once I start working. Right? Still kind of new to this...

@@educationX probationary period means that your condition of employment is pretty much "at will". This means the agency can terminate your employment for any reason. Do not worry, the vast majority of employees do make it pass probation.
