I’m sorry how is it not a conflict of interest that those who are advising on behalf of doge will directly impact their own companies and how much money they make??? That’s is so unethical in every way.

I’ve been working in a county government position for the last 5 years. The salary has been low but the benefits and work life balance is great. I was able to make it work because I was staying with family. But circumstances have become so toxic in my house that I can do that anymore. So I have to move out, and I can’t afford to do that without a private sector salary but I know I can’t cope with private sector pressure. I don’t know what I’m gonna do.

Can you explain exactly how a ten point preference helps a veteran get a job at the VA, ie. Pharmacist. Thx.

Thank you for this great info. After listening to your videos, I decided to transfer to VA as excepted gs12. Longer commute to base at DoD and lower pay range didn't make sense. I was surprised VA had such large compensation difference compared to regular gs scale. You can be 12/5 making the same as 13/7.

The assessments are a waste of time. Some are 2 hours 3 hours, or maybe even longer. When I had to complete an assessment, it was three hours, and I probably take any answer because I was just trying to finish.

I've been working for the my current agency. Since 2015 back then, I was teleworking 3 days a week up until the pandemic, then the agency made changes. Now we're in the office three days a week, and we can only telework twice a week.

HR in the government is atrocious. Disorganized, slow, ineffective, biased. DEI days. Even more so last few years. The jobs are air sandwiches, meaning "jobs program".

TSA Academy training is two weeks btw, not three weeks. It’s technically three but you do your first week at your home airport and spend week 2-3 at the actual academy. Unless things have changed since I worked for TSA.

If I received an interview offer, does that mean it was determined I am legally able to work in the locality? US citizen residing in Japan here, received interview offer for job on military base. Didn't know if that meant the job would offer SOFA sponsorship and not require that I already have it.

I had a phone interview with SSA it was on a Saturday but it was the best interview.

I called 3 people for a job interview who had their resume open on USAjobs for a 11/12/13 and no call back. Wild times

Hmmm… it’s almost like the picture that politicians and the media portray isn’t accurate. The American people are fed up with our political leaders. Instead voting out the corruption, they’re taking aim at average government employees, the vast majority of which are dedicated civil servants. They want to believe the narrative that all government employees are lazy, incompetent, and under performing. They’ll use something like a single distasteful social media post from a government employee as fodder to mischaracterize entire agencies. Politicians are trying to take the attention off themselves, and they’re redirecting it to civil servants.

The only thing my mgr wanted is to hire as many young women he thought he could groom.
