I had problems topping my fairway woods, but after adjusting my set up so I was putting slightly more weight on my lead side and extending my follow through, I'm getting a lot more accurate consistency with my ball striking. Great advice, thank you Danny

Just when I was about to give up on hybrids and woods, I put a 4i in my bag, this video now makes me want to go back out there. Small adjustments.
And your “topping” of the ball still went farther than most people who “top” their ball.

As a self taught golfer of 15 years; then lost 7 years of play due to cancer treatments. My lowest handicap level was a 3. Now back to a 17 😞. I would say the these two clubs were/are the most difficult to figure out (driver & fairway metal [7 or 9]). This is exactly what I have been missing for a long time! Thank you so much. Clear, concise and very well explained. Can't wait to give it a go this weekend and start to bring my index back to single digits.

Been following these videos for a 2 or 3 years now and I have to say they are a delight to watch and the cumulative effect on my golf game has been very positive. My slice/fade is fading and I have the tools to hit straighter. My iron striking is improving from being dire. I get out of bunkers mostly first time (deep ones in our Links Course). My woods I am no longer afraid of and the hybrids are fairly consistent. Putting been a bit dodgy recently but that's golf for you. Thank you Danny

Today I tried your tips at the course and I crushed a 5 wood 215 yds to within 2 feet of the flag for a most improbable birdie in the toughest hole at my local course (a handicap 1 hole)! The normal version of me tends to top those shots for a whopping 100 yard roll.

Thanks for the reminder on ball position and the tip about the straight left arm though impact. I have really been struggiling the past year not playing as much because my game has been awful. I watched this video yesterday because I haven't been able to hit my fairway woods and all my irons have been problematic. I played today not expecting much but the real difference was I was more focused hitting all my clubs. It was my driving that improved the most when I focused on ball position. I was hitting much higher drives and a good bit longer than I had been earlier in the year. My fairway woods were ok but it will take me more time and some time on the range to make a bigger improvement.

Danny, I found this video to be very informative and apropos to what I am trying to accomplish with the fairway woods and hybrids. One thing that I found to be quite useful was when you were talking about the swing circle and hitting the woods and hybrids at the bottom of the circle with extended arms, not retracted arms. With driver, it's the opposite. Ball forward, sternum behind and hitting up. Well Done Danny! Keep Up The Good Work!!!

As usual, all good stuff. For me, leaning the shaft slightly forward at setup and impact was the key to solid center strikes and higher ball flight. Seems counterintuitive but you have to get the face of the club on the ball for good compression.

Spot on video instruction. I like the bit about the spray powder as well... IMMEDIATE feedback is crucial.
    Nice work!

Thank you for the tip on the h6brid from the fairway! I was hitting the bottom third on my shots eith a dribbler result. Seeing you forward Press and move the end of the shaft in front of the ball will let me use that club confidently tomorrow for my round.

It's been a while since I watched one of your videos - TH-cam stopped putting it in my notifications (???). The added editing (showing the arc of the club head, the tilt, etc.) is a great improvement - and that's saying something, because your videos have always been so, so good. Thanks so much.

Thanks Danny, great content as always. Nothing worse than hitting a drive down the middle then topping my 3wood 50 yds. I’ll give this a go next time out 👍🏻

Great video. An easy tip to practice. I hit my 5 wood consistently farther than my driver. Now I have something new to try.

I’ve been watching different instruction videos for years. Danny stands out as one of the few (Martin Hall included) who make their instructions as clear and uncomplicated as possible! My only advice is to take away just a couple of Danny’s pointers at a time onto the course to avoid paralysis by analysis.

Great video Danny and explanation of the subtle differences between hitting with the driver, fairway woods and hybrids.
