    ABOUT DANNY
    -----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On TH-cam and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Danny I have been watching your videos for several years now. As I’m watching your current video about Fairway Woods, and hybrids while I am recovering from back surgery, I’m just amazed how wonderful your lessons are. And unlike others you don’t assume everyone is 22, flexible and with no physical issues. You give us a little gems to think about your lessons one of which today was you don’t need to use or own a three wood unless you have enough swing speed and instead to use a five or seven wood. That’s the same thing my pro has been telling me, especially with respect to longer irons. Unless you have the swing speed, a five iron will go just as far as a six and six just as far as a seven iron. Keep up these great videos. Harvey Cooper, age 77 next week.

Mr Danny, I can't thank you enough for your tips and videos. My wife has only been playing for a few years, and her hybrids and woods are a hit and miss. Showed her this, and our last golf outing was a massive improvement. It was so fun watching how excited she got, and it made her golf game so much more enjoyable. They may just be simple drills and tips, but for something like golf that is a big part of our lives, it makes a huge difference. Thank you for what you do!

Everyone should have this video in their mailbox! Before tip 5 I was thinking what a brilliant rhythm you have and need for this shot, as I tend to be jerky or not turn if anxious. Tip 6 which I add: look to hit at the shadow under the ball. This keeps me stay down through impact for longer. Thanks, Danny. It’s great you’re doing local groups so you continue to realise what problems we amateurs tend to have on the course.

This was an awesome tutorial! Explained so well. I appreciate you explaining the low points and where I should strike the ball to be able to hit it well. The feet together drill and learning to keep balance with a consistent swing is brilliant! I always have trouble keeping my balance when I swing forward to strike the ball. I end up losing my balance and I lean back instead of following through and going forward. I can't wait to try this out at the range. I'm already striking the ball pretty decently but I feel like I have that bad habit sometimes where I will swing widly unbalanced and lean back and top or miss the ball completely! Thank you! Your explanations are always well thought out!

Excellent video, thanks. Tried it on the range and found the final tip so helpful. I find I slightly rush my backswing and then come up too early. Using a 19 degree 3 hybrid was trying to get better rhythm and stay down on the shot and was surprised about getting distance with an easy swing. Question please, I have a generally slower swing than most and struggle to get fairway wood airborne constantly. Is 19 degrees enough loft would you say for a slowish swing for fairway hybrid / wood?

That last item - sweet flow - is what has produced all my good shots. Coming from a number of sports where aggression and force are often essential elements of success (rugby, squash, cricket and badminton), the calm, sweet flow is a difficult sensation. But it seems to be the essential key to progress down the fairway.

Danny, I've been watching your videos for a couple years and they have been very helpful. I have gone from a 30+ to about a 17 now. I used to consistently slice the ball (often out of control), but I would hit it far (300ish on a good swing). Now, I have a pretty consistent draw/mini hook off the tee which plays way better in general but I also am hitting way lower in height and quite a bit shorter than before (270 is about as far as it goes now). Any advice to get the height and distance up wihtout going back to my old slice?

I've always found that I can strike my woods much better than my irons, and it's only recently that I've been told that I have a metronome swing. I lack the body coil and drive down and through the ball you need with irons, but with woods/hybrids I can sweep the ball off the surface quite comfortably. I know my low point is always around 6 o'clock and my head at 12 o'clock. So as long as i position the ball correctly and put my club right behind the ball at 6 o'clock, where I'm taking it away is pretty much where my low point of my swing is and i get consistantly decent strikes because of it.
I've then adapted this to my driver by putting the ball half an inch or so forward in my stance. Same swing but now i'm hitting slightly up on the ball, but my low point is still rought at 6 o'clock.

Just what I need right now. Have focused primarily on irons for months to fix consistency issues (Golfing 2.5 years) and seems my woods consistency suffered (were always far better than my irons). Side note, your driver videos helped me start outdriving my friends last year and last week hit my first eagle (par 5) after a great drive, long utility iron shot, and then holed it from 80y with SW. thought my buddies were messing with me when i got to green looking for my ball (steep hill to green). Thanks for all of your wonderful instruction Danny!

Morning Danny . I realise your golf instruction is about full shots . Most Amateur golfers every round find them selves having to make recovery shots ie keeping balls under branches , through gabs between trees . Often I feel I hit a good recovery shot only for the ball to hit a low branch . A few tips on striking the ball to keep it low would be good . Let me know your thoughts . All The Best Tony

    Danny,
Your comment about not hitting 3 wood strikes home for me. While I used to hit the club reasonably well, my reduced swing speed has rendered the club much less effective for me. I will resurrect my 5 wood and give that a try. Great advice! Thanks!

Hi Danny, Thanks for this video lesson. I do struggle with hitting my woods off the fairways. I usually play my 3 wood for distance and generally do ok with it. My backswing is somewhat compromised and it sometimes feels like the shaft is too long for me. You addressed this in your lesson with the stance and having the arms stretched. I will try this. I didn't know that the 5 wood can be more effective than the 3 wood. I hardly use mine. I will try using it to see what difference it makes from the 3 wood. Thanks Danny. I look forward to your weekly lessons and can't thank you enough for the improvements in my game.

Amazing tip as always, Danny. I always struggled with consistency in my woods but the thing I struggle with the most is my practice swing always feels perfect and then when I step up to hit I do something completely different every time. My friends always say that didn't look anything like your practice swing. Why do I always hit differently when up to the ball. Like i'm just overthinking every thing so it makes me swing weird. Any tips for that? Thanks!!
