Nice tab, but I wish they'll release an 8 inch variant. We're already saturated with 10-12 inch tabs. Smaller tabs are easier to use and more portable.
Just a heads up, this tablet has no HDMI out. This killed the tablet for me, I ended up going with a used Samsung Tab S8+ for the same price. And this is coming from a long time OnePlus phone user.

You can always get a flash drive, they're better than micro sd cards anyways and they're not gonna be bothering your hands on a tablet unlike on a phone 🤷 The only real issue would be when charging and using at the same time but with the fast charging OnePlus devices have you really shouldn't even be doing that.

I have a note 20 ultra and it's a great phone but I hate having to buy different pants to accommodate my giant phone. I keep being tempted by the Lenovo y700. it's the most powerful 8" tablet by far. sadly didn't release in the USA. all we get is junk for 8" sized tablets, other than the ipad mini.
you better back the kickstarter for the jelly star then - the best small phone you can get. I've backed, and i'm considering the lenovo y700 as its the only decent compact tab on the market
with cod mobile, i believe the hardware does need to be whitelisted, and you'll also be forced to use the minimum graphics setting when choosing the 90fps mode. i think it's called "MAX" under frame rate in the settings and it sets it to the lowest graphics automatically, if the device supports it
The one thing that I think the p11 gen 2 has over this one is the sd slot when it comes to emulating ps2 games your storage can get eaten up pretty quick some games are over 2gb

If you can get the S8+ for a similar price (which can be done now with the S9 only a month away), go for it... similar specs, but an OLED screen and proven update track record on tablets... and a SD card slot.
I've missed not seeing Android content on this channel lately. This tablet looks intriguing and I appreciate you reviewing it. Ron at Ars Technica complained bitterly about the OnePlus Pad having really bad screen smearing issues in his review. Overall his review was much more negative than yours, even by Ron's standards, and that kind of put me off on buying one of these.
thinking about selling my lenovo duet 5 and buying this instead. Chromeos is nice but it always feels unfinished. Quickshare doesnt always work, apps wont load until at least 5 minutes when i boot my chromebook up, and some apps wont run right on chrome. This oneplus pads seems alot more stable
I managed to upgrade my original ssd to a 1TB with no problems. However there is an unallocated partition of 500+ gb. When I download games I can’t get the downloads to go to this part of the ssd. I ran diskpart and the new partition shows up as D drive on the my pc page. But it won’t let me send downloaded games to this part. Any ideas. Thanks. Ps COD WW2 and RDr2 AND MSFS 2020 all run perfectly on the rog ally, well worth the money.
Great content 🖤 Will you be checking out the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro?
I’m sure he is waiting for xiaomi to send him a free unit and a check
Can't wait to see how much we can be spied 🤤😂
I absolutely enjoy this device. The app mirror capabilities are great. It's literally an extension of my phone.
Seems interesting. Does the device come with its own mirror app builtin? Or are you using something from the play store?

Any tablet that doesn't have a Micro SD card is a non-starter for me. Oh well.
Most high end ones don't so, that would leave you with an older tablet that probably isn't supported unless you can root it.
