Hope you’re going to have a Sony Xperia 1 V teardown video. You have been stop hanging with the Sony since Xperia Pro but then the 1 III to the 1 V all have the optical zoom lens, just wanted to see how they are really designed ❤

its surpricing to see how much space that battery takes inside the body, but its good if they can fit as much bigger battery as possible to power that hulk
All tablets and iPads are mostly battery.

surprising is how big that pcb is, they're essentially phones, 90% of the tablet could be battery if they used the same pcb as their phones.

The highly-adhered battery is still a huge concern when you need a replacement further down the line, but it seems solid otherwise.
Yes. There are pros and cons with everything. Being too stucked means more durability, less empty space, and less prone to being shaked off.
if u need to replace it anyways wouldnt care if u break the old one even more
@@inisipisTV Just cons. It's fully possible to make the battery removable without turning it into a fire hazard. This is not user-friendly and makes it more of a gamble when it needs replacing.
@@Tomazack So few people will replace the battery in the first place on an iPad copy its almost irrelevant. Sure I still support repair but its not like its not able to be repaired, its just slightly more difficult.
Louis made a video about the one plus tablet having a smart battery drm that only one plus repair it not third party

Making tablets thicker would increaxe durability as well as help removable components
Also, reducing the overall use of glue (this also applies to smartphones) would help a lot on repairability but might sacrifice in water/dust resistance.
@@SergioEduP I'm fine with that. I don't recall ever asking for water or dust resistance. I don't go dumping my phone in water. I've used phones without water resistance for years and had no issues. Forget all this glue, it isn't needed.

The backup power-on trick is a genius one. One+ is ahead of the game. The power button alone sees hundreds of use per day so it's fair to say it gets worn out quite fast.
Per day????? I turn my tablet on or off maybe twice per day if that.
@@jasonculver3516 the power button is also used to lock the screen and wake up the device so uses varies per owner. Business owners arent the only one who will own this tablet. there are people who would buy this for their kids to play with.

Seems very repairable👍🏽 I wish companies releasing tablets start inventing better ways to store the stylus. The recent Galaxy Tab's backside compartment is great. I toss that tablet/keyboard combo in my backpack with no worries of losing the stylus. Great review🤙🏽
They apparently have a locked battery like apple, so you can't change the battery

The battery problem I notice is a thing with other tablets. hopefully they will find a way to make it easier to remove batteries from these things. Thanks for the video.

OMG...Jerry said "my second mistake". I don't think I have heard him ever say that. But even after cutting into the ribbon, he still managed to get the tablet working just fine. And I agree; Oneplus should bring back the red battery. This would be an awesome tablet if it had cellular access besides wi-fi. Excellent video. Thank you!
Hey Jerry, It is quite interesting that we have been holding things together with screws for more than a century without any other technology taking its place. Do you recall the device that required you to open the most screws?
My favorite place to eat is not a restaurant. It's a vast field near my town where I go with my shawarma and enjoy the sunset with a beer. It's like having dinner with nature.

Refresh rate alone cant move apple's customers.The oneplus pad focuses on multimedia and an ipad generally focuses on artists,editors and productivity,where refresh rate doesn't matter that much
Maybe if OnePlus can somehow get iMessage to work with their tablet there could be a chance?

Hey, Jerry! I have a question for you. Since my childhood, I have been wondering how does a product recognize that there's a battery inside? When you press the power button, how does it understand that it has to turn on when you press the power button?
Google it.
When you press the button, in reality you create a "bridge" for electrons to go from one side to the other. So the tablet doesn't recognise anything, it's just that the battery will automatically start to move electrons around the circuit board and into the many different chips inside the device. These chips are then programmed to do certain things when they receive power, and so that's what they do.
You cannot actually turn off any modern smart mobile devices. They are always on, just the processor and most peripheral chips are kept in a deep sleep state when you press the 'turn off' button. In that deep sleep state, the processor consumes only a few microwatts of power in comparison to a few watts when fully active. Once you press the power button again, certain pin of the processor gets a wake-up signal to resume its normal operation.

Please tell me, how do falls affect the inside of the phone? Ordinary everyday cases, fell from the table, nightstands?
I also cut power button ribben in my old OnePlus 6 when I tried to remove back glass xD fortunately replacing whole power button with ribben was pretty easy.
Upside that the USB-C port can be replaced so easily but the fact that you had to give up on the battery means virtually a 2/10 repair score to me.
Let's start a petition for OnePlus to bring back the red colored battery. Also please test the Pixel Tablet and Fold when they release!

Not gonna lie... thoose EMPTY pcb's taking that much space inside ..... I mean, the hardware is literally less than a normal phone except battery screen and speakers... it looks like a ton of space is wasted and the tablet could have nearly double the battery
