In order of importance (to me). 1) No microSD card slot, 2) No stylus, 3) No headphone jack, 4) Large Bezels, 5) Benchmarks worse than the 1+ year old Galaxy Tab S8, 6) Overpriced. For $90, you can get the highest performance 1TB microSD card on the market. With the tablet, you have to pay $100 extra just to add 128GB of storage. I'll never buy a phone or tablet without expandable storage & a headphone jack. The companies do this so they can show a lower entry level price than the model everyone wants. Since you can't upgrade storage yourself, they are charging you $100 for 128GB upgrade while you could buy a 128GB microSD card for $10. Talk about price gouging.
I wouldn't recommend this tablet it's really a ripoff no high refresh rate no qaud HD display no stylus support no expandable memory and for 500 dollars that's Horrible just get a new tab s7 plus
There really isn't a whole lot of room for these on the market, the price point is already so high. And it doesn't even have a modem so you won't see them getting shilled by verizon with a tablet data plan.

Limited headroom for the future as this is likely a 5-7 year investment so the Tab S8 is better value in the UK as this is equivalent to $750 (£600) over here. I think it is $499 in the US not $399? Effectively only two years more updates as it comes with Android 13, and Android 14 releases next month, so only 15&16 after that. The Tab S9 will be OLED with 12GB of RAM and although it maybe £100 more in the UK, seems like a no-brainer if you are not a home hub person which I suspect 99.9% of people watching this channel are not.
The UK pricing of this is absolute insanity. It starts at £599. Cannot think of a single reason to buy this trash instead of a one plus tablet which out specs and outperforms it in every way and offers 3 years updates. Sub par display, sub par speakers, average cpu, average build, poor cameras, poor charging speeds but you get an average speaker dock with it? all for £599? madness...
@@corsinivideosThe reason you would buy this is if you wanted a two-in-one that doubles as a home hub. This is not a productivity device. This is something you buy instead of a home hub Max,
There's the 20$ rockchip adapter that plugs into the USB c, sends video over HDMI. Basically If your Android does data over USB c, it'll work. Pretty much exactly how Android auto works, and why it's muddy looking too There's slight lag, but I played super Metroid and it was good enough. The only ditty, it looks like a softer sub 720p image. Plus the aspect ratio will be whatever the tab is. And the last!!! You cannot leave this tab on the dock, and use it. Data over USB c and charging from the dock together does not work currently.
I know it's been a few months, but I would like to know if a usb hub can be plugged into this and used with the speaker dock or not. I've heard about speaker issues if something else is plugged in the speaker dock. Thanks
Struggling to see how this can possibly be one of the best when tensor G2 is outperformed by both diversity 9000 and Snapdragon Gen 1 tablets for emulation and gaming and this devices display runs at 60hz. Otherwise it is underspecedd and overpriced, has bad speakers, a sub par display and good but not near flagship performance CPU that heats up a lot when under load. How is it with citra?
Now you're making me regret getting the 128 GB model I should have gone for the 256 GB but I haven't had. Good luck with my pixel 7 Pro. It's been laggy almost thinking about switching back to Snapdragon for the next phone
Great video as always. If it is possible, can you please do a comparison between the ROG Ally and latest GPD device that. Would be interested to see what comes out on top, and whether or not performance is within margin of error. Because the GPD devices usually have better I/O on the device itself and less dependency for a dongle or USB hub.
Are there any tablets with quad speakers that have them on the top and bottom sides instead of on the sides where you put your hands when holding the tablet? 🤔
底座的思路很棒,但是屏幕比例还是看得出谷歌对平板并无太长远的规划,大陆ov两家的7:5比例更显诚意。
Try take a look at mi pad 6 pro
It should be the fastest tablet compare to other competitors in it price range
The real question is, Does it's outperform OnePlus tab..??
That's the only tab in same price range that gives it a fight...
Nope, Tensors G2 is a hot chip after few hours it will drop performance, no thanks to Samsung fabrication
@@spiderpig1736 mi pad 6 superior to one plus pad ? Come on be serious
@@spiderpig1736 Mi pad 6 pro is superior in performance due to SD Gen 1, mi pad 6 is not, its significantly worse in both display and CPU than Oneplus pad.
Is does not
I don't really think it's something you would cross shop with one plus. This is not meant to be a productivity device meant to be a smart hub / consumption device. Although OnePlus isn't necessarily a great productivity device either since it lacks video output
The screen is laminated or not?
Man ur telln me it took this long for em to release a real successor to the Nexus!?? ..bout time!.. Vanilla is the only way to Android imo.. nice! Great Review.. Looks nice n fine tuned.
If it had an Oled panel I would have bought it...
The display stays on when in hub mode so would not make sense to use OLED. I got one to use as a second screen to watch TV while gaming on LG OLED. It is clearly washed out compared to my TV and M1 iPad but it’s not that bad if look at it not off angle. That is my only complaint so far other than the price. I have all Apple devices and nice to be able to cast stuff to it also.
@@spiderpig1736 don’t have enough space for another TV or monitor … plan to use it as hub and tablet too. The multiple user profiles is pretty cool also so no longer have to let guests use iPad.
That's right it's 499 not 399 and I'm interested in buying it for my wife she loves to play games and it'll be cool I have Google homes all over but I prefer a screen so maybe I will get it for I have the tab 7S Plus and it works like a charm but I'll try Google we'll see how it works😮
@@spiderpig1736 you think women know what Hz is?
Sub par display, sub par speakers, average cpu, average build, poor cameras, poor charging speeds but you get an average speaker dock with it? all for £599? madness...
I just wouldn't be cross shopping those two devices, one is meant as a home hub/consumption device in the other is meant as a productivity device.
But it is worth mentioning the tab S8 it was delisted from Geekbench for benchmark manipulation and a throttling scandal.
@@corsinivideosThe reason you would buy this is if you wanted a two-in-one that doubles as a home hub. This is not a productivity device. The speakers are way better than the OnePlus tab because of the dock.
But I just don't know why anyone would be cross shopping this with a productivity time on anyway. This is something you buy instead of a home hub Max,
@@corsinivideos I agree, tough buy!
can you start benchmarking wii games with The Last Story. it's much more demanding than Sonic colors
Will you review the Lenovo Tab M9?
Hi man! What do you guess about alldocube iplay 50 pro? Worth a review? Has g99 + 8gb ram
G99 cpu is generally hot trash, I would save for something better.
... And I still waiting for new Shield TV.
Does it support wireless charging?
Wonder if there's some way to use it as external display? Like HDMI to usb-c input dongle or some wireless streaming without using 3rd part apps
There's the 20$ rockchip adapter that plugs into the USB c, sends video over HDMI. Basically If your Android does data over USB c, it'll work. Pretty much exactly how Android auto works, and why it's muddy looking too
There's slight lag, but I played super Metroid and it was good enough.
The only reason to buy this would be if you require google OS updates. Otherwise it is underspecedd and overpriced, has bad speakers, a sub par display and good but not near flagship performance CPU that heats up a lot when under load. In the UK this devices costs over £599 which is total insanity.
I mean it has $130 speaker that comes with it so it's like a $350 tablet. It's not much more than the fire 11 max
Price / performance ratio is pretty off on it
@@michaelcorcoran8768 not in the UK, it costs £599. The speaker is average and not worth the money. You can buy a £100 BT speaker that will outperform it and still have change if you buy a OnePlus pad with it. It's a terrible deal and will no doubt sell very badly at that price.
@@spiderpig1736 Yeah, imo google is grossly overestimating demand and the amount of money people want to spend on a home hub device / tablet. In the UK you could literally buy a oneplus pad and a google nest hub max for the same price as this.
Does it have HDMI video out?
think they're gonna put out a pro when they put out a new processor?
I have a samsung note and a laptop and a miband for sleep and exercise tracking. I have never owned a tabled nor do I need one. For this price I might as well get myself a vr headset which at least does things that my other devices dont already do.
The link is showing $499 US for the base model and $599 US for the storage upgraded model. How are you getting $900?
@@mattdavis9601 I'm in Europe, so maybe that has something to do with it. Oh I see the offerings are from 3rd party sellers. My bad.
Anything more than 300 for a tablet that is gonna be used for games is nonsense
The storage size makes this tablet near worthless for retro gaming, unless 16bit on down.
While this is good..i hope next tablet from Google would feature a special made SoC for tablet..Tensor G2T( t for tablet )..just like Apple with M2 SoC..
Which controller do you Recommend the kingkong 2 pro or the 8bitdo ultimate controller
So are the speakers worse or better than the nest max hub? because i thought it was going to have better speakers than the max hub...
Add call of duty modern warfare 3 as a benchmark for wii
Been diehard Google products for years. I'm still salty they removed widevine DRM from the Pixel C 5 years after release leaving me with SD video.
Well you have to make your mind which is one best and powerful tablets, because you repeat again with other tablets make your mind. At the end new tablets coming out more powerful and better will you can't change it, less you are have the money to spend in all and every week new tablets coming out . Thank you for your video and I stay in touch 😊😉❤️
Is the Galaxy tablet more powerful than an M2 iPad?
And it's only $500 -$600 😂
The processor lacks some graphics performance however the cpu performance or really good
Would u include yuzu performance on future android devices ?
No because it would involve him to actually put in effort
Is it possible to install there Linux or another OS ?
Good for Oldschool Runescape?
Seriously it is a killer Android tablet if Google unbundles it from the dumb dock and cuts the price (by say $100).
Oh come on, the Mali GPU is awful for the price
Great Google. Thank you for this great looking tablet.
Now make it smaller.
how does the gulikit king kong hold up?
No microSD GOODBYE,
Can it run Yuzu Emulator ?
$500? Nope. I’ll keep my iPad with large memory for $550 it’s a no brainer vs this.
One of the best?? Riiight...
At $399, good vfm.
Maybe.
Bro I'm from India. And I like your videos very much because your content are some uniqueness. And I have ready ya Samsung dex mode for emulator play using Samsung s10e (bought it in second hand market as you said😂) but I want Bluetooth controller for my device in budget. So please put a video for budget Bluetooth controller
GrapheneOS show case?
399? It's 499USD here.
Do genshin impact support control ?
Can this play switch games?
No that's not tablet but smartphone in big size.
Truly tablet is Samsung, Huawei and iPad.
If only Google focuses on better tablet OS then, android tablets will easily dominate the tablet market.
Bring back Honeycomb!
The All New Pixel Tablet Is One Of The Best We've Ever Gotten Our Hands On!
very good!
android tablets just can't even come close to the ipad, it's terribly unfortunate. if only I could have an android tablet with the same power as the M1 iPads and some form of DLSS-alike system to make android games not look like hot garbage. genshin and star rail look gorgeous on my 5th gen air, nearly as good as they do on my PC, but both looked like absolute blurry pixelated poopoo on the samsung tab s8. and made it run so hot it could fry an egg.
if I just don't want to play video games on my tablet.
I'm better off with an Amazon $75 tablet
Ipad owners just wet their pants!
Lol, yeah but I cry my head off as soon I start any streaming service with an iPad. The screen aspect ratio is simply a joke.
