I been using a super old black xbox controller because every other newer controller that i have wouldnt work. i havent had a black xbox in years before getting the new xbox series x. even the new series x controller wouldnt work. i have no idea how old this old black controller is, point is, ive had 3 new controllers and never used them because of this reason. now i can finally enjoy some fresh new controllers. big thanks for this video, more importantly, the simple solution that has been giving me headaches for over 2 years.

Yo bro when I join or create an Xbox party it shows that I have a headset plugged in by the icon but when I talk no one can hear me and the circle around my icon picture doesn’t move up and down it just stays still. I’ve been trying to look on TH-cam to see if anyone knows how to fix it but I can’t find anything it mean a lot if u know a way. Cheers bro 🙏
Tried that it still didn't work. I can hear myself when I talk thru the wired recon 70p headset. I bought the combo pack that came with the controller at Walmart.
The ring shows when I talk but teammates still can’t hear me, Xbox and ps teammates can’t hear me, I hear everything else in the game but their voice and vice versa ..bought two new recon 70 headsets and tried on two different controllers...still the same problem...HELP
If anyone is still having problems, Turn up mic monitoring all the way (This is important) If your problem is other people in the party can’t hear you, Unplug your mic, blow into the headphone jack on your controller, and then plug it in. If it works, you should hear your self (just breathe into the mic and if it does the static glitch effect mic monitoring is on and other people can hear you)
It's still sad that they can stop xbox from doing this because it's almost every day that I'm in party talking to friends then all of a sudden hey is your mic muted and then you realize your voice chat is messed. This and alot of other things should have been dealt with by now. I just vote off having any faith anymore in Xbox/Microsoft/and Bill Gates like no care in the world at all just more crap to keep the masses happy
