Please help. When i plug in my headset to the splitter and plug in both ends my friends say they can hear themselves echo after they talk. I have astro a10s i need help please help
My headphones and microphone fixed themselves just by watching this video. I feel like this video is a manifestation of some sort of holy spirit. Thank goodness
If this doesn't work, then rearrange the the two outputs of the splitters to different slots. I'm sure you've tried this already, so try to constantly change the ring alignment every several seconds with the connector and the splitter by pulling it out slightly and pushing it back in.
Gets straight to the point, explains everything clearly, leaves timestamps, makes sure to point out important information. We did it guys, we found a perfect help video. Why cant all help videos be like this?
Man, you don't understand how much this helps. Not only do you show a fix to the problem, you simultaneously educate me on the different type of pins and how they work. Great job man!
Just spent 2 hours messing around with settings and watching videos to try and fix this exact problem. This is the only video I found saying anything about the jack. Thanks for saving the rest of my day 👍
This has helped me diagnose a 2 year long fight with my microphone. My issue was that I was using an extension so my headset could reach without giving me restrictions on head movement. What I didn't know was that my extension was a 3 pin, not a 4 pin. I even bought, unknowingly, a 4 pin to 3 pin splitter because I have a 4 pin headset jack and a 3 pin mic jack. The extension worked for audio. I now know all I need is a new extension that's a 4 pin. Thank you!
Explained thoroughly in plain English in a short amount of time. PERFECT. I hardly ever sub, but I will with you. Keep up the good work brother and thank you.

This was my problem too, so glad I saw your comment! My headset mic works when plugged directly into the splitter that came with it which must convert 4 pin to 3 pin, but my extension cable is only 3 pin so the mic doesn't work when I use it. So glad I finally got this figured out!

But this new case I bought only has a separate mic and headset slot issue. I'm glad to know I only need a cheap fix for this and not a new headset. Thank you.

It was working fine for weeks beforehand. I have no idea what to do to fix it
This is amazing ! Just one problem I have now: I can hear my voice twice, But I think that's because of Discord. Thanks you. Sound is always a thing I struggle with but luckily we got people like you, Who explain the way this works and get straight to the point. You saved me a lot of time.
this man is the goat my mic has not worked for 2 years and now after getting into games that when using a mic is much easier, I now find it frustrating to comunicate with team mates after buying a spliter and using it workis soooo well.
I like the fact how you brought out each and every minute detail in this video. You are awesome. I love creators who think about their audience first. But, I have a strange problem. My headset was working just fine till 4 days back. Now I can hear with my headset but it doesn't recognize my voice now.
It took me 2 hours to remember that the audio jack adapter that came with my headphones was still in the box in my garage. Thank you for reminding me about it.
Neil Enriquez thank you so much for reminding me. Luckily I still had the box and there it was the adapter. You, good Sir just saved me a couple of bucks.
I bought one of those adapters, however, people listen what I'm playing on my computer, example, If I play Spotify people listen to what I'm listening is there any solution for it? ty.
this was actually so informative. figured out that my laptop (only one headphone jack) has a 3.5 pin, while my headphones obviously have a 4 pin. looking at a converter now!
The problem is, last month I was playing with my friends with my mic and it's working perfectly fine ,and now it doesn't works, oddly enough it also doesn't work with my smartphone, and more oddly enough I have another headphone and it's mic also doesn't work but the audio is still working (both headphones) , and when I try to record my viice with one of my headphones, all I got is static voice and not my voice, but when i try to use it in voice chat, there's no static sound nor my voice... I can't make up either it's my laptop's and phone's ports are the one who broken or the headphhones...
Thank you for including the information about apple, I needed that, I bought the splitter and spent hours trying to make it work. My problem: apple headphones ... no one else included that info... SUBBED
Still doesn't work, bought the adaptor and I've been extremely frustrated all day trying to fix the issue. My PC doesn't pic up any audio from the microphone at all but for some reason I can still hear it echo.
My problem is that my microphone is working through my headphone speakers. I am using a headset splitter btw. I tried rearranging them and going to settings but I cant fix it. plz help.
i have the same damn trouble, before there used to pop the select what kind of audio was connected and now, it never appears so I cant choose whether it is a headphone or headset. I'm real mad.
I figured out a solution for myself in that same situation. Go to "C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA". It may not be exact, but something similar. Then, open "RAVCpl64.exe" with your headset plugged in. There should be a black circle near the top right corner. Right click on it and select "Connector Retasking...". Finally select "Headset" and you should be good to go. Lemme know if that helps :>

@@carloslacedelli8571 woah u guys are getting adaptors?
I bought one of those adapters, however, people listen what I'm playing on my computer, example, If I play Spotify people listen to what I'm listening is there any solution for it? ty.
Have you found a solution?
What was the adapter called
@@BabyGrogu_ I'm using a USB audio adapter now, from 3.5 jack to USB.
@@Deadabeast-rj6hx it was a 3.5 audio splitter, does not have an specific name.
this was actually so informative. figured out that my laptop (only one headphone jack) has a 3.5 pin, while my headphones obviously have a 4 pin. looking at a converter now!
any rec's for a connector? i'm worried it won't work!
SAME!
same
Fixed my issue, I had my covercase not allowing the microphone part to go in the shaft. Thanks
Thank you for including the information about apple, I needed that, I bought the splitter and spent hours trying to make it work. My problem: apple headphones ... no one else included that info... SUBBED
Still doesn't work, bought the adaptor and I've been extremely frustrated all day trying to fix the issue. My PC doesn't pic up any audio from the microphone at all but for some reason I can still hear it echo.
pls did you ever fix it ?
thanks, despite the fact i dont have one this is extremely well made and explained. New sub :)
Thank you man! I really appreciate it. Cheers! :)
My problem is that my microphone is working through my headphone speakers. I am using a headset splitter btw. I tried rearranging them and going to settings but I cant fix it. plz help.
HOLY FRICKING SHIT I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM

But my laptop doesn’t have two jacks and I have a 4 pin but the mic doesn’t work it’s using the Realtek audio mic
i have the same damn trouble, before there used to pop the select what kind of audio was connected and now, it never appears so I cant choose whether it is a headphone or headset. I'm real mad.
@@AlmizOlive yea it did the same for me
I figured out a solution for myself in that same situation.
@@jabco4645 where can I find C:program files?
