    CRAWFISH MONICA PASTA
    1 Onion
    1 Yellow Bell Pepper
    1 Bunch of Green Onions
    4 Cloves of Garlic
    1 Stick of Butter
    1 lb of Crawfish Tails
1 (16oz) Pack of Fusilli Pasta
1 Teaspoon of Salt (for pasta water)
    1 Pint of Heavy Cream
    1/2 Teaspoon Salt
    1/2 Tablespoon of Cajun Seasoning
    1/4 Teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper
*optional* fresh parsley as a garnish
Start out by heating a large pan over a medium/low heat. Also heat up a pot of water on a high heat.
Chop the onion, bell pepper, green onions, and garlic. Set aside for now.
Add the stick of butter to the pan.
Once the butter has melted, add the chopped vegetables to the pan.
Sauté the vegetables for roughly 30 minutes or until very soft.
After about 20 minutes of sautéing , add the crawfish to the pan and continue to simmer for another 10 minutes.
At this time your pot of water should have begun boiling.
Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the pot of water, and then add in the fusilli pasta.
Boil the pasta for 8 to 9 minutes, then drain.
After the crawfish and vegetables have been sautéing for the allotted time, lower the heat to simmer, and add in 1 pint of heavy cream.
Add the 1/2 Teaspoon of salt, 1/2 Tablespoon Cajun Seasoning, and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper to the pan.
Next add the pasta to the pan, and blend the sauce evenly over the pasta.
Cover and continue to simmer for another 15-20 minutes.
Turn the heat off, garnish with some fresh parsley if you desire, and serve.
    Enjoy!

Made this tonight and it was delicious! After three helpings, it was still hard to push away. My mom used to make crawfish fettuccini and I haven't had it in 30+ years. This tasted just like it. One of my all time favorites!

Well, ONCE AGAIN, I looked like a culinary genius thanks to another killer recipe. The only thing I did different was I added 12oz of small shrimp with the pound of crawfish. Oh! I also added a small slurry of water and corn starch to thicken it up just a tad. It was de-freakin-licious!!!! Thanks again my brother!

Check your local Walmart. I live in PA but they sell frozen Louisiana crawfish tail meat at all local Walmart stores. A few months ago, they had 1lb packs (normally $16) on sale for $8. I bought ALL 22 PACKS! LOL...

I made this last night and a few tips for anyone who tries:
A stick of butter is probably too much, half would do the job (the grease was floating in it) and i would double the amount of seasoning recommended, it was kind of bland

    • @TheCajunNinja
      @TheCajunNinja  3 ปีที่แล้ว

Yea, I would say that’s all based on your preference. Which by all means that’s great, definitely make to your liking.
I’m curious tho, what brand of butter did you use?

This looks amazing. One of my favorite dishes I discovered was "Cajun Chicken Pasta" and I've been making it for awhile. Is it possible to switch out the crawfish for something else if we cannot get crawfish in our area or want to try other meats? I've enjoyed sausage in mine as well.

Looks so good! I always wanna give your dishes a try but you frequently use dairy ingredients that I'm not able to have in my diet, like in this recipe. Are there any alternatives to the heavy whipping cream that I could use instead to achieve the same flavor and creaminess? And thanks for the upload! Always enjoy your vids :)
