    American family living here said they lived in Japan for several years and never could get used to it but it took them minutes to get used to Malaysia since arriving at the airport. I would say it's neutral compared to other more prominent cultures in Asia.

    Sabah and Sarawak are truly interesting places to visit. Borneo offers a completely different experience compared to West Malaysia, or as we call it, Semenanjung Malaysia. The islands in this region are exotic, the food is diverse, and the people are simply wonderful. We have a more laid-back lifestyle and a rich cultural heritage with many different ethnicities living in harmony. If you visit Sabah, you should try local delicacies like hinava, tuhau, and bambangan. And in Sarawak, don't miss the opportunity to taste the famous Sarawak layer cake dessert. It's a whole new experience that you will absolutely love!

    The area that you guys are staying i.e. Bangsar South also adjacent/close to Multimedia Super Corridor "MSC" status buildings areas. MSC contributes about 20% of Malaysia's GDP. Not many visitors like yourselves are aware/know about MSC is. Do investigate "what Multimedia Super Corridor is". What companies operate under MSC umbrella, what tax benefits they enjoy and who can work there (including visa for staying in Malaysia). Perhaps contact one of these companies and visit their work office. Show to the world what facilities these companies enjoy. Hi there, since you said to stay in kuala lumpur for the next six weeks, you may need some rest from hustle bustle kuala lumpur city, I suggest you take a week travel to east Coast peninsular Malaysia which is Terengganu state. You can explore and discover authentic cuisines such as Nasi Dagang, Kerepok Lekor, Satar etc2. And if you are looking for peaceful place (heritage Malay architecture), to stay, pls check Terrapuri Heritage village. All the best.

      Hi there! You'll need a good mosquito repellent to always where when going out at night. And food poisoning can happen... my rule of thumb is always get something that's prepped in front of you..... I'd steer away from items that have been cooked and just lying out. Hope that helps.... have a great trip! 👍

      Hi there! Good question, we are finding short term rentals are more than Thailand.... but we are still looking. Restaurant Food and grab taxis are cheaper and groceries are reasonable too. Some things are more, some less. I think this comparison would be a great video idea! Thanks

    • @wattstraveling
      @wattstraveling  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Short term rental prices are high in KL....definitely more challenging to book budget accommodations. Most agents tend to push you into Airbnb if you're not looking for a 1-year contract. Airbnb prices seem to be very high for what the units offer. if you're looking for a long term contract prices at more affordable. Food really varies depending on your tastes...lots of options for all budget ranges.
