Hey thanks for subscribing! Yes, KL is definitely a great place to retire. We loved, loved our time here. We were blown away at the real estate, lifestyle, healthcare and the over value it gives represents. We are almost done of our next video of "why" we would live in KL which gives more details about the healthcare etc. We are also visiting more places to check out for retiring.

You'll be surprised to know that more and more Canadians are checking out the cost of living and everything else in Malaysia. I love Canada and I graduated from the Laurentian University of Sudbury. My last trip there was in 2010. So much has changed in term of livability eh?

@@zaharizak Canada is a mess! It’s so unaffordable now and taxes are through the roof! The medical system is a disaster, nobody has a doctor, people are dying in the ER waiting rooms. Taxes are ridiculous, so we have left.
Malaysia has so much to offer. We have to go back to Mexico to settle some things but we will back to Malaysia again soon.

KL has a lot to improve. A lot more work to be done. However I am proud over how much the city has improved over the past 10 years. It still not squeaky clean but it is far cleaner than it used to be. The city also has an upper class feel to it recently. This is a controversial opinion but I even think that traffic has actually improved over the past 10 years. I remember when I first came to KL, traffic was a nightmare. I am proud to see how much the city have grown and I hope we will continue to improve. Welcome to Malaysia btw & hope you will enjoy your stay.

I agree but we must understand the litter bugs in Malaysia is cause by foreigners workers from Bangladesh, Myanmar, Tibet, Indonesian n scores others. The local Municipality is hopeless. Melaka river fr instance is full of rubbish caused by these foreign workers.

It has already started to clean up those illegal workers. Hopefully, it will keep on-going because illegal workers also keep coming every day from everywhere, and the most problems Unhcr card holders. Govt must talk to the UN. Stop keeping ongoing issues on this card. It's the most big problem. Immigration rules do not apply to UN refugees card holders 🤔

KL is a city that you need time to really discover - it's huge and spread out. In the video, you barely scratched the surface😊 You explored Greater KL but you may want to check out the outskirt suburbs too which can also offer great living experience for you like Mont Kiara, PJ, Damansara, Sunway or Desa Park City, if you are thinking of staying there long-term. There are many golf courses around KL but they are for members. There is one that is open for public "Kelab Golf Seri Selangor". I'm not sure if they offer any golf set for rent though. So google up and give them a call.

@@jillpemberton1434, in many medical cases, there's no long queue for medical appointments or surgeries unlike other countries such as the US and medical costs are many times lower than US too. I mentioned US specifically because I was supposed to migrate there decades ago and have been there many times. Malaysia is definitely not perfect but when comes to live-ability for westerners, very high percentage of Malaysians speak English, currency advantage from the west, low cost of living from westerners' perspective, relatively safe, good and cheap food, vacation getaways within Malaysia can be reached within hours - long drive from KL to Penang or KL - Singapore are around 4 hours, all that could bring you from cities to nature, I think Malaysia has good combinations but yes, it is still not perfect.
