Tipping is really a western world thing, it's not really a culture here.... which I like. Honestly, if you get good service and you want to tip, then do so. I'm sure they would be happy with anything extra you give them.... but it's not expected (like in Canada or USA)

Hi there 👋 I'd say Danang is more affordable, having spent more time in Danang, yes definitely more affordable than Tirana. Housing and restaurants costs (our 2 biggest budget categories) I'd say are significantly cheaper. Steak dinner at Bo Steak in Danang (with a coke) is$7.45 CAD. Steak dinners could not be found for this price in Tirana Tirana rentals are higher because of being in the city, we didn't rental there for a month so I can't tell you our experience for actually renting, but in Danang we paid 550CAD per month, with a pool and gym.... you won't find that in Tirana for $550.... Just to give you some examples. Now, with that being said, I feel like Tirana/Albania IS still an affordable place to live. We loved the 70 degree weather days.... don't see that in Danang lol hope that helps? Can always message in Instagram if you have more questions 👍

This is the information i found regarding the Friendship Monument in Tirana, Albania. It was originally built to symbolize the strong relationship between Albania and the Soviet Union after World War II. The monument, known as "The Friendship Monument" (Monumenti i Miqësisë), was unveiled in 1959 during a period when Albania was aligned closely with the Soviet Union as part of the Eastern Bloc. The design and purpose of the monument reflected the political climate of the time, emphasizing solidarity, shared socialist ideals, and the alliance between the two nations. However, this relationship deteriorated in the early 1960s due to ideological differences between Albania and the Soviet Union under Nikita Khrushchev. Albania then aligned itself with China, and symbols of Soviet-Albanian friendship, like this monument, lost their original political significance. Today, the monument serves as a historical reminder of that era, reflecting Albania's shifting political alliances during the Cold War. It also invites contemporary visitors to reflect on the complexities of international relationships and the country’s journey through history. Maybe you can explain why this was written about this? Because I ALSO saw the 2016 Kuwait plaque.... so now I'm confused! 🤣 And yes we definitely had a great time in Tirana!👍

@nickmondo222 definitely give it a second chance. As for the license...... the only valid drivers license is a Vietnam drivers license and part is a written test (in Vietnamese) so it's really the luck of the draw whether you get stopped and the other you mentioned. We only needed our passport to rent a bike. I have other videos in and around DaNang that might help?
