- Put the 2007 back on the dyno to test the 472SXE 87mm turbine .90T4 Housing. We hit some road blocks but we picked some power and gained some cool data on the dyno!

That’s exactly the turbo my 5.9 has but with a 1.0 a/r at 5000ft elevation..supper laggy!! i switched from a aurora 5k (71mm) 1.0 and that thing spooled a lot better but had some durability issues, I just hope I find a 6.7 somewhere to swap it in..cuz I love them big singles!
I like to see how the lbs of air movement to horsetorques works out for compounds or triples.

Keep up the awesome work! Random trans question: in the 47/48 Transgo kits, is it better to use the seals they send with it for pump and input shafts, or the OEM style metal seals that come with rebuild kits?
I would defiantly recommend the ones that come in the kit. There made for the kit so I would recommend using those

I have a 06 5.9 with efi live, south bend dd, exhaust, cold air intake, fass, and arp head studs. Trying to put a little more power down thinking either a aurora 4K or a fleece cheetah what would you recommend
How are determining your blow by? Willis blow the oil cap off?
Good stuff but real late turbo spooling but comes on hard when it does...I can see how turbo selection can be extremely expensive if you don't pick the one that fits your needs..thanks Josh

Excellent video! I'm excited to see the compounds and how it can give the best of both worlds even on a tired 300k mile 5.9. I love the stock vgt set up on my 6.7 but this does give me some inspiration to do a bigger single on it when it's time to replace it. What would you recommend for a stock fuel 6.7 with just tuning and a lift pump? Any huge benefit to second gen swap or would the factory 3rd gen manifold still be fine? Truck is an 08 with 182k miles.
I've seen many 467.7 2nd Gen swapped 6.7's on stock fuel make good power and have good drive-ability...
I loved my 467.7 on my 6.7 even on stock fuel, just make sure to get an exhaust brake

Was really hoping to see a Dyno Run on your 4th gen after your rebuild you said 1000 hp tow truck. And to see how it would do pulling that gooseneck
Towed just fine, made 902hp on the 467.7

How much blow by are you dripping? Do you think it's more from the increased cylinder pressures or is it mainly from the miles on the engine?
Probably a little of both. It started bad when the 467.7 got put on

I really like the follow along series, I have an 03 H.O. 6MT with 228K and I'm looking to shoot near the holding capacity of my Kevlar clutch 490/880 on near stock components and good tuning. Just looking for a bump and fuel economy really, but I don't want to approach the line where im prematurely wearing on the engine life.
What's the biggest turbo I can use with 100hp injectors I believe it's 45% over

Hows this set up feel compared to your old blue mega setup with the 369sxe?
Much laggier but the turbo is much tougher. My 369 had some durability issues
I’ve been keeping up with this trucks series, I have a 06 5.9 with nearly the same fuel setup but it’s a manual transmission. Can you recommend a s400 series turbo on a manual truck with 100 overs and dual cp3’s? Trying to get away from the drop in turbos

@@horsetorquesdiesel starting to get into bracket racing, it’s a weekend warrior that gets beat on regularly. It doesn’t need good manners at all. Studs, valve springs and pushrods, big clutch, EFI, all the fun stuff

No we use 7 to 7.5
How’s the 467 at elevation? Id love a big single but am hesitant to go that direction because I’m typically at 8-9000ft
Oooof that's high up there. I'd do a 467.7/83/.9 t4 it should be ok but I haven't ever experienced that this was tested at 5200

dude it is insane how much better a 6.7 spools singles I get my single 488/1.32 lit faster then that and it doesn't surge even when I lug it on locked 3-4 shifts

Ever used a 263 sxe charger in a twin setup before ? Truck is an 06 cclb 6 speed , have a manifold and new 263 sxe on it with a dirty old smarty tuner and a fass . Was thinking of adding a large ,side mount charger to make a twin setup like I made for my 12 valve . It's mainly a tow rig and would like to see 650ish safe ( I mean not super high egt) hp . And what do you think for cp3 and injectors. I had it on the dyno before and I'm around 500 right now
