    Gail banks is a sales man that's for sure. Unlike a some of his products there was a valid point with the flat back covers aerating the fluid, and not flowing into the pocket for the pinion gear.
    I ragged on him for not using a dyno to verify the air horn, since he uses the dyno every where. He responded but it was just excuses.

    • @ChannelZeroOne
      @ChannelZeroOne ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Choc Honestly I dont like Gail very much. His ego is over inflated. Had he responded differently my opinion of him would be different.
      Even if I dislike you I wont let that blind me to what's good or not.

      So build it! Best mod you will do hands down. But the trans will handle a tune for a bit, the converter will take a dump quick though. My stocker only lasted 10k miles with a box smarty on 3. I don't drive like a teenager, but who knows what it was treated like before me. Watch some videos, Josh made a few awesome videos on a rebuild and firepunk did some great ones as well. I also watched TruckMaster on TH-cam and he had a killer rebuild on a 48 done by Kodiak trucks in WI.

    You can tighten and spin at the same time if you use the proper axle nut socket, I put the socket on a short 1/2" drive ratchet and spin the hub while turning the nut. Don't know if it's really necessary though, could just tighten then spin a few times. But I'm sure it can't hurt.

    To tighten and rotate at the same time you’re intended to use the proper tools (a specific socket/ratchet in one hand and spin with the other) instead of a screw driver/chisel and a hammer.

      I have the tools for the fords and you still have to use one hand on the socket and 1 hand on the ratchet so you still cannot spin it by hand. Doesn’t really matter to me 10+ years no issues

    The Mag hytec diff cover also has a built in o ring for easy installation.

      Yeah but I honestly love the oem gasket from AAM. The mag hytec is a good brand though!

      I just got one of the fined AAM aluminum covers from the newer Rams and run the factory gasket. I happen to find a place with them new for under $100 shipped years back. It is hard to justify spending $300+ shipped for a cover.

      It depends on torque usually 1600ftlbs is safe anything above that is dangerous
