If I udgrade from the Quest 2, will be the S, the Quest 3 is just to expensive, as out of the box, got to spend even more money and get a decent headstrap
When i added it up, Quest 3, 128gb version is $200-400 more here and the Quest 3, 512gb version is even more. Gotbto buy a decent strap fir comfort as out of the box is horrible, so in fact not a hugh price difference buying the ps5 and PSVR2 togther
I brought myself the Quest 3 on saturday, and it's amazing. It's great for someone new to vr, and I love that I can use it as a stand alone or connect it to my PC. The only con I have is that if you have to connect to wifi by MAC address, you cant unless its already paired to your phone. Which you need wifi to do. So you cant set up the wifi on the quest or start using it. You have to go somewhere else and borrow someones wifi for the set up, its frustrating. I hope they fix this so that people can obtain the MAC and see the system settings before the initial setup.
Happy to hear you had a great time for your first VR experience. I didn't know about this problem because I mainly use a Windows PC. They should fix it, but I suppose it depends on how many people report this problem to them.
Foe me, I have a ps5, so was cheaper to get the PSVR2, was cheaper than the Quest 3. The Quest 3 is not selling do hot, so coming with a cheaper one, as the quest 2 is outselling the quest 3 4 to 1
Hopefully Sony will bring you a present this year, and let you play PCVR games on your PSVR2 as well. And about the Quest 3, with that kind of difference in price is not surprising that most people go for the quest 2. Especially considering that most of them are probably new to VR and unsure if they will like it.
As of now, I would not recommend the Quest to anyone, although the only vr headsets I own are the Q2 and the Q3. Since 2024, thousands of users have experienced malfunctions arise with every update and NOBODY ON TH-cam IS TALKING ABOUT IT!
Personally, I didn't have major problems with my Quest 3. But I think it may be because of the recent attempts from Meta to improve the OS and bring new futures like augments. Sadly when you try to change something there are cases when 1 thing is improved and 3 others get broken.
I know what you mean. If it proves to be as amazing as the rumors suggest, I even consider giving up my laptop for day-to-day use and replacing it with the Deckard similar to what SadlyItsBradley did with the Apple Vision PRO
@@NokutoVR I almost got an Apple Vision Pro after watching his life stream of 80 hours with the AVP but yeah, I think the Deckard will be that level. I swear Sadlyitsbradley said in a live stream once, when the AVP was delayed, that Apple got help from Valve getting the AVP out the door, like they exchanged people working in their VR departments. I thought this would mean Valve would get something from it, and when the AVP came out I was hopeful that Valve would get the displays for the Deckard, those being the only thing holding it back. I'm still hopeful, not going to buy a new headset until the AVP has been out a year, maybe they will get the displays for the Deckard but Apple might want a year with no competition.
@@exodous02 I'm grateful for the changes Apple brought to the VR space with the Apple Vision Pro, but aside from the price ( that I'm too poor to afford😅), their ecosystem seems a little too restrictive for my taste. So if your scenario proves to be true, and Valve can't launch the Deckard this year, I hope we will at least get more details about it.
I don't think Pico 4 is a bad headset, but you don't really have many good apps in the Pico Store. If you think about it from the standpoint of a standalone VR user it's indeed lacking. But for PCVR it was considered better than Quest 2 by some people.

A wise decision. The Quest 3S should be a worthy upgrade, even if it's made to be price-friendly.

True, and if you have eye problems like me the price can go even higher for some lenses because glasses in VR really take from the immersion and FOV.

If I don't like the person I'm talking to, I will tell them to buy Pico 4
