Before the fanboys start arguing I just have to say that whether you're a Mopar, Ford, or Chevy guy... Were lucky to live in this era, who knows how long it'll last.

so bottom line is don't get a Challenger RT with a 5.7 if you're trying to keep up with the Mustang GT or Camaro SS

The 392 Challenger would have been more comparable to the SS and 5.0. You guys chose the baby out of the Challenger pack... That thing hasn't even hit puberty yet.

Fan boys will be fan boys and I'm a Chevy fan boy however I think all three manufacturers need to come together and build a super car to take down German competition and Italian competition

Its time for a new match up before the new Camaro comes out!!! Let's see the 2015 base V8's go head to head. No track packs. Just base V8 to base V8 to base V8...

You're supposed to use an SRT8 challenger, it comes closes to these cars in HP, and is more fair, atleast use a R/T shaker, not a base model R/T

The Mustang is running $8000-$10000 under sticker right now. There is nothing that can touch it new for the money.

It would be better if you waited 1.5 months when the other 2 2015 models come out, apples to apples boys that's all I'm saying.

Was curious to see this. Not being a fan of American cars for many reasons, in my mind these were all the same except i saw the Mustang as more reliable. It's like the Civic of the American cars, popular and doesn't break down as much.

They should have brought in the 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack which has the V8 Hemi with 485 Horsepower. The car is more inline price wise and performance wise.

Seems to me that the Camaro sits in the grey area between the two; neither sporty nor comfortable. Maybe that's why it's pissed off. All style, no substance.

I am a manager at a very reputable automobile dealer. I also am the head of the Hennessey Performance program here at my dealer. As someone who has sufficient knowledge with these vehicles I'd like to point out a few things.

My 2013 White Challenger R/T, 5.7L, 6 speed, 3.73 limited slip rear-end, was $28,600 out the door including tax, tags, etc. I like it just the way it is and didn't want the options. It's not the fastest car on the road, but then again, there's such a thing as fast enough. It's certainly the best looking of the retro muscle cars, and I was a Mustang/Cougar fan for 40+ years.

I had a 2012 5.0 and I traded it in for a 14 SS 1LE. I'll tell you overall, the camaro 1LE is a superior car in every aspect, buttttt it doesn't FEELS as fast, even though it is. The challenger is a great car but I've always been turned off from the HP rating of the R/T's with the weight, however I may go look at the R/T's with the 'scat pack' option box checked. 485hp for under or little over 40k?! Yes please. Plus the aesthetics of the challenger is top notch. If anyone is thinking about getting the Camaro SS, take it from a non biased car guy; check the 1LE option, otherwise you'll miss out by so much. I test drove the regular SS and it just doesn't compare. Well worth the 3500 bucks

The auto mustang gt is faster then the manual, but the auto camaro ss is slower because it doesn't have the ls3, it has the weaker l99

If you can't drive a stick, don't compare one to automatics. It's not fair. I've driven a few different challengers. My favorite being the R/T Scat Pack which can do under 4.5 0-60.

The Camaro is not the most powerful in a automatic it's 400hp.
