UPDATE: Since the question of price seems to be coming up a lot in the comments, here are the confirmed prices for all 3 cars (base price / as tested)...
Camaro SS: $30,995 / $31,490
Challenger R/T: $30,945 / $38,270
Mustang GT: $28,845 / $34,330
The bottom line is this.
Every car is the best car on the road based on the preferences of its owner. I myself happen to own my dream car a Dodge Challenger RT Hemi 6 speed.
You may own a Camaro, the other guy may own a Mustang. And so on. Every car is Special to the owner.
There is no right or wrong car. They're all unique from the driver's view of the road.
GOD bless you too bro.
Keep the shiny side up and stay between the ditches!
If only all fanboys could understand that... But in the meantime, what would be the the TH-cam commet section without them?!
Boss1186 this may be a stupid question but I'm going to ask it anyway. What is a fanboy? I've never heard that term before.
Yea youre right, i was starting to think i made a mistake on getting an rt challenger instead of the SS camaro, but i love my challenger, to me its fast for all that weight it has and well to me the interior is way better than the camaro, my 2013 you can knock on the dashboard or door and solid, camaro well chevy in general knock on it and its all hollow and just sounds like really cheap material, but to me those 2 are my pick, mustangs are nice but not a big fan of them
Couldn't have said it better myself.
I love the neo-retro vibe of the next-gen pony cars....big, powerful V-8s in small car bodies. The Big 3 got it right!
Small?!? those things are enormous compared to cars from just a few decades ago!
Remember this is the 4.6l mustang. When the coyote came out it was a whole different ball game
totally agree. the 5.0 auto runs a 12.8.
Still slow either way.
Detroit Reppin hahaha it demolishes both the ss and not just the R/T but the SRT8 too. how is it slow.
Well the 5.0 doesn't run a 12.8 anyway. It's more like a 13.3-13.5 with an average driver and 13.1 with a good one.
And no you're wrong. The SRT8 Challenger is not the same tier as this car, and it beats it anyway so I don't know where you get your facts. The SS is almost 300 lbs heavier, so what are you saying? They run the same time?? Camaro is 12.9-13.4 range as well so no, it's not demolished. Smh.
Yep, and lets not even compare z28, zl1, gt350, gt500 & srt8 unless some mustang lovers are ready to cry lol
If only Pontiac would get it right and bring back the GTO Judge of the glory days.. My dad would go crazy for one.
if only Pontiac still existed, but it doesn't
Sooner or later it will be back.
Erwin S Hey guys!!!! It does exist in a form-TransAM Depot. They are licensed to build them in Florida. Last I knew they even had the original KITT down there too for sale! Check it out!
Too bad they co st 70K
Erwin S hate to break it to you but Pontiac is not coming back and we are all happy they no longer make pos cars
All these cars are awesome but different. To me the camaro is the best looking best sound, the challenger is the most comfortable and the mustang has great performance but lacks a little in both looks and comfort
SPMLB22 || that's changed in the past three years huh?
@@burgerbandit3646 lol why ypu reply to him he prob has a hellcat
Give Mustang it's props it never took a break
Crazy to see the massive improvements all three have seen
Even more now
The 2010 Camaro has been my dream car ever since it made its first appearance on the first Transformers movie. I simply liked it for the looks and I know Camaro cars always have the horsies to back up their look :) I can't wait til im driving one in a couple months.
i think that the challenger has the most attractive exterior
Tortoise619 I totally agree brother.
I personally like the camaro's
nope mustang looks better
@@TurboClashShowdownss Funny enough, 9 years later and I’m driving a ‘21 Mustang lol
@@Skeeyaolol I used to always want a Camaro as a kid now I drive a 2017 370z
The Chevrolet Camaro comes out on top. The best 21st Century Pony Car.
Hemi Mike .. til 2011 5.0 made an appearance than the show was over for the Camaro
mr_ponyboy it really wasn't
Not. That 4.6 gave the Camaro a run. Thats sad..
The challenger is the hottest
and slowest lol
jjjj nah the canaro is
I think the Dodge Challenger is the best looking...and the least expensive. My 2014 Challenger R/T was just $26,000. Not bad for a car with a 376 HP V8 and a 6-speed manual trans.
Dam that is garbage
Yeah a 2020 Camry can get you to 300 hp for about the same price, with inflation. While at the same time not consuming as much gas and having a greater resale value. You got robbed
@@miguelgutierrez8694 the Camry doesn’t have the performance of the RT and he got a steal of a V8 in 2022 the V8 is dying so he has something special
Most people hating on the mustang probly never owned the car or even sat in one y’all don’t know the real feeling of a muscle car until you’ve been behind the wheel of a mustang and compare all those cars in 2011 the mustang would be the best
CAMARO SS
Challenger and Camaro have much larger displacement but yet 6 0 to 60 times are quite similar I find that very impressive for the little 4.6 liter of course I'm a Bullit owner of course id say that
Yeah because you have experience with thst car. I have the 2010 gt which is pretty much the 09 bullet. It is only .1 of a second behind the camaro. Honestly the 5.0 wasn't much of a improvement considering the power difference. Not until 2015 at least.
Camaro will always be my favorite
I love mine 2013 Camaro SS/RS wish I has a ZL1 maybe next year.
+Frank Gerena
i love mine...mustang is a pos plain and simple...camaro is in anther league
Damn right Steve
+Frank Gerena Get yourself a Z/28
You have a SS and a RS?
I have a 2012 zl1..i like the looks of it better then the newer ones ,tail lights are nicer..kooks long tubes and high flow cats, rotofab cold air, under drive supercharger pulley and tuned..newer gt 500,s can beat me but not by much, love my camaro..
CAMARO USA 1
freakin camaro looks sexy :) i would deff go for that car
You are so hot
@@elio-martinez5867 your so cancerous
All 3 looks great 👍 Thank god, that the big 3 made this cars - I bought the Camaro in 2012… and drive it till now…👍✌️😎🇺🇸🤙👌🤟
First off where does the Camaro weigh less than the mustang
Look, my brother bought a camaro and in half an hour already got a girls number, no question, the best.
haha
bruh lol
Only because the girl likes his car...
Festus Simmons welcome to reality
That Camaro grill did NOT age well . 2016s are nice though .
To you.
I was pretty much contented with a 420 hp 430 torque Chevy Stock V8 doing a 12 second quarter and 0 to 60 under 5 depending on if you can actually shift and get loose on the rear end ... It's fun to drive ...
Not a single fuck given. Still getting the Challenger.
Also, no fanboyism with me. In fact, I hate every other dodge cars. The camaro finishes last in term of look, to me. The mustang is okay depanding on the year; 2010 being the best modernized retro look.
Get it in black and PLEASE, no automatic convertible v6.
No Chrysler car is worth the headache of dealing with their customer service. Dodge RIP. Dodge needs to First learn how to take care of your customers and build reliable cars.
Chevy all the way
"You don't pick your pony for the size of its saddlebags." Amen to that.
You should do a new video for the 2015 versions
Ford all the way, I got a 1995 GT, she still runs great
I got a 79 Camaro berlinetta and has big ol balls
Bigger balls than you huh?
camaro all the way.i love my 2010
Here I am in 2023 and I still lust after the Camaro and Challenger 🤤.
the camaro will last the longest
ryan215553 seems like you were right 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ironic
Absolutely
This did not age well
Ah... the chevy guy...
Srt8 challenger shouldve been used in this comparison instead of the r/t imo.
why if the didn't use shelby or zl1?
Adrian Anderson the gt500 is a production car.. and yeah but thats not fords and chevys fault, in comparison the R/T competes with the GT and SS and cause thats base V8, they are same price range from factory
@@eliasrodriguez5480 The hellcat is the equal to those cars and good luck vs the hellcat with those lol. A few people may say they care about handling but its the straight line numbers that everyone cares about.
@@Maves916 hellcat didn't exist back then
Otherwise it's GT500 an ZL1 vs Hellcat and the dodge still loses
The Camaro has outsold the other 2 cars simply by being the best with sales at 500,000 cars sold and counting. This answers the question which car people are buying and it's not the behemoth Challenger or the ugly Mustang.
Thank yoi
I take it you're the accountant of Chevy
376cubicinches you're stupid
That's what dorks like you say when you don't know your ass from a hole in the ground. That $1.57 in your pocket won't even buy you a gallon of gas "king Rory".
The king Rory, I will notify your village and tell them their idiot is missing. Stay where you are and keep going after those pesky unicorns.
Proud owner of a 2011 2ss convertible in the inferno orange
DODGE CHALLENGER R/T HEMI POWER
Chevys get the ladies challengers get the men
to bad they didnt do this in 2011
Why?
@GTO19020 Also note, if you read that article, it isn't even a completely fair match up. That is, the camaro as tested had more options (as the higher price as optioned reflects). Three such options of interest are the IROC package, 5.7L V8 and rear disc brakes. This is in comparison to the Mustang GT's base options.
That must be why Camaro sells more than Mustang and Challenger... OH WAIT.. MUSTANG IS KING.
I prefer the mustang because its the best looking and most iconic The challenger is not a muscle car if you ask me that thing is a boat over 4100 pounds wow. And the Camaro was played out once it got used in Transformers.
Lol noice one
Hellcat sucks balls lol. It already lost the comparison against the Camaro Zl1 lol
I got a 2010 mustang Gt, love it!
Lol two of the "American" cars are actually Canadian now :/
silverdart333 They'll do a burn out while yelling "Sorry!"
The 2013 mustang gt is beast! Camaro looks so fuckin ugly..I always catch camaro drivers looking and I'm never behind one on the road because of that!
challenger is king!
Nope Camaro
Nah way too heavy to be king they coyote 5.0 mustang smokes 5.7 hemi
Camaro is clearly the true king!!!
+Kilion Duke and the 6.4L kills the GT.....Motor trend will always test the RT against the gt and ss when it should be testing the SRT. Motor trend is on Chevys nuts
Maybe the hellcat..
All 3 are great street performers, but the Challenger is always my choice. Put the 392 in this test, an SRT Product will give you a better comparison.
Funny you compare the ss camaro to the rt challenger lame as hell. You put the srt in there an it will blow the camaro out of the water. You didn't use the rs camaro I'd call that bias.
Are you serious? The RS Camaro is a v6. The r/t is a 5.7 and the SS is a 6.2... Both are not supercharged... Just because the Challenger is heavy as fuck, does not mean you put the RS. Because then you put the V6 mustang in which would have been slow as fuck the 2010 year.
THE SRT8 Challenger is supercharged. And in that case would mean you compare the ZL1 with the LSA and the Shelby. Smh.
Detroit Reppin SRT is not supercharge, the new 2015 hell cat from challenger is supercharge and making 707hp
Robert Ponce the SRT is not supercharged that you are right, but it is turbo!
Robert Ponce Turbo'd as Carter said. My apologies. That's just my logic anyhow. SRT8, Shelby, ZL1 make one class of cars, and then the 5.0, SS, and R/T make another class,
Dude SRT8's are not turbo either its an all motor car look it up
05 to 14 mustang is just a heapa shite
it's a 1975 ford taunus underneath..i have owned 3 stangs and now own a camaro ss 2013...camaro is light years ahead handling wise.
mustang is utter junk
Taurus didn't come out until 1986...
+Car Reviews & More
here in europe it was the ford cortina...was about long before 1975...i had a few and i know the s197 is utter junk...looks nice but handles dangerously..how they got away with that fucking live axle for so long i never know
It's 2017... the new 2017 models of all 3 are nice, but the models shown I this video we're the best looking modern muscle cars. Wish the Camaro and Mustang still had the retro look. You don't know what you have till it's gone! Now even the challenger is getting a redesign in 2019!
@BEBNC1 .........I agree to a certain point with your observation. ...BUT , remember the camaro went away due to sales volume . Sales is the sole purpose for cars being produced.
@9b8 yeah well the long tubes only added about 14bhp, 100% stock dyno'd at 299hp, 331 ft lb torque, then with the bolt ons, headers, 160 Thermo, K&N cold are intake filer, it dyno'd 310hp, 345 ft lb torque. this was before my rebuild. got into the low 12's on stock motor with bolt ons, and a 3.73 rear end!
JUST DROVE IN MY FRIENDS SS CAMARO WITH THE 3 INCH CORVETTE TYPE EXHAUST AND IT BLEW ME AWAY. WE GOT ON THE HIGHWAY BY WAY OF A 2 LANE CIRCULAR ON-RAMP AND HE WAS WEAVING THROUGH THE TRAFFIC ON THIS RAMP AND IT HELD THE GROUND AT SPEED OF ABOUT 90 WITHOUT ANY SLIPPAGE...WOW! WHAT A GREAT HANDLING CAR! it really was impressive. thought i was in a jet . really
Mustang and camaro has changed much in 2019 but in challenger not much has changed in it but only performance.
Can someone tell me why the mustang is in the conversation?
been a week since i bought my White Camaro SS Synergy with grey stripes.
best decision yet in my life.
They still kililing the game mustang gt500, dodge demon hellcat, and the zr1 Camaro
This video feels like a piece of automotive archeology.
@9b8 Yes it ran a 12.48 with slicks and some weight shedding. race weight 3400lbs. i ran pacesetter 3" long tubes open headers, no exhaust or cats. it would of made more power if it was tuned before dyno. But now my setup is a whole different story. now im spinning it to 8200rpm because of the big ass cam i have on it now. Stock refinished hypereutectic pistons, the stock bottom end is good for about 700hp with all ARP bolts. ive never spray my car yet, soon i will and be aiming for mid 9's
specks for the cars challenger 2:17 Mustang GT 4:46 Camaro 7:56
The new 5.0 is hardly considered outdated. 6 speed transmission, 420 n/a hp, more torque than most European cars with the same displacement and decent gas mileage. The chassis is well refined as well. Some people complain that it lacks irs, but it really handles very good. Boss 302 laps an M3
One reason I like the Challenger is because it really looks classic. Like it was built in the 70's.
I did check my facts and the production car that i am refering to is a vette that has a 0-60 of 1.9. Which if im doing my math right, 1.9 is less than 3.3, correct me if im wrong on that. And the fastest street legal car is a nova, running 6s in the 1/4. And if you want to get technical with it, mustangs were designed to appeal to women not race.
I didn't expect to best a camaro SS brand new with exhaust! I traded in a Bullitt for my RT and love it, get looks all day long, put a short throw hurst comp. 6sp shift kit and it's stock, I killed 2 370z easier, by the way to be honest for the Chevy guys, the camaro started to catch me at least twice above say. 80 or 90 he was gaining on the heavy challenger (2012 with super trac pac)
these three cars would be prefect for stunticons in the transformers movies
This test was done in 2010 using new (then) models. The Coyote 5.0 Mustang wasn't out for another year.... (2011). The next years test with the 5.0 has MT editors singing different tunes completely.
Thank you!!! I would love to hear the roar of the engine as the sun shines down on my muscle racing through the highways of the Southwest.
Thanks ❤
I HAVE taken a challenger across country. It's fun (Detroit to denver)
wasn't Chrysler or Dodge Plymouth bought out ... I milled heads on a Triumph and changed it's cam ... adjust it's dual 1 barrel Stromberg's to the timing ...
yea but which car is going to LAST the longest? Up to 150k miles? which one last the most miles
Alolan Vulpix Getting Railed I need this question answer
This comparison needs a refresh for 2016!!!!
@9b8 oh i know! i use Manley Nextek springs they can handle a .650 lift and a 10,000 reliable limit. and i re did my stock bottom end by Cryogenic treatment(Pistons, Rods, and Crank) new wrist pins, ARP bolts and new rod bears and main bearings also new cam bearings. and still use stock crank. Yeah i know about the NOS thats why i dont spray and rather go N/A. LT1 pistons are great on spray when stock. but no spray when already at 500hp also have Jesel Shaft mount rockers, Manley pushrods too.
It was all fun and games until the 5.0 came out. After that the mustang ground destroyed the camaro. The challenger BOAT couldn't compete at all with that sub 400 horse.
Oh of course, but it was the basis of the argument which I jumped into.
Never drove the regular v6 challanger just the srt8 2010 model and it handles fucking awesome.
I just got a camaro 45th for my bday, this video captures it perfectly
@ardoinjc What camaro did you drive? If I'm not carefull, I spin the tires getting to 1st. 1st to 2nd gear is like a flash compared to the other gears.
Yep no comparison. My 2013 SS Camaro blows away my 2009 Mustang GT in every metric. I love my GT - it's a beautiful and fun car but it doesn't hold a candle to my SS. Straight line, track, handling, comfort etc etc - the SS owns the driveway.
Why can't everyone just appreciate the fact that they are making some real fucking muscle for the first time in decades.
I know right (392 Hemi)
Okay, I can understand that. I mean I like them all because as the Big Three they're in America's corner and ofcourse I love old school muscle.
I admire Ford precisely as you said, they made the tough decisions before hand and were able to ride out the recession without asking for a bailout.
getting a challenger in a few weeks, sold on the power and classic look, the mustang and camero look to futuristic for me and I have never been a fan of the new ones
I love my camaro 2011 ss 😍
winter 2022
Actually the 5th Gen Camaro is assembled in Oshawa, Ontario which is in Canada.
I test drove all 3 of these cars, and I bought the Camaro. The Challenger was my 2nd pick, but I got a better deal on the Camaro. Also the Chevy dealer was willing to take the stripes off for free, unlike the Dodge one. :)
@jeangrey65 You spin the tires getting to 1st ? Where are you before 1st ? I drove the SS with an auto trans. It was very sluggish of the line compared to my Mustang. I like the Camaro and may in fact buy one soon. But like I said, the car I drove 0-60 time did not seem as fast as claimed in this video.
for 2009 number one is camaro two is mustang three is challenger
but i don't care about wich better if i can drive one of them it's a gift from the god
Dam for being a 4.6 it wasn't that behind
@Perkuleezful Depends on the country you live in and it's taxes. Here in The Netherlands you pay tax by a car's emissions. A Camaro (V8 model) costs €84.000, which is about $123.000. No, I'm not joking you.
American Muscle Cars are sooo expensive I don't know what you guys are yapping about. I was comparing american vs german cars and you can get a vw golf gti for a lot less than a camaro, mustang, or challenger. Then you can chip the gti and get it running 400hp+ That being said, I'm still going to get a Camaro :)
@woutergman All I know is that whatever Barricade is, is basically a customized Mustang. It says it right on the imdb website.
Camero has always been the best and always will be
4:10 What the name of that song while the Mustang is getting reviewed?
Ahh the comments section where Ford, Chevy, and Dodge fan boys will troll you and people will get butt hurt and half the time have no idea what they are talking about
Gotcha, that's awesome!!! Yeah the old Camaros and Mustangs are awesome! I'd have problems choosing!!!!
I hear that Cudas are pretty expensive though...lol!
at the end of the day doesnt matter whats faster or better, gotta love that American MUSCLE
i don't know about performance cause i have no experince with these cars, but the best looking car is the challenger and atleast it resembles the old ones
