    This is Repair Pron at its best 🤣 I love it and the interruption short before the laser welding made me sad. It is so a big pleasure to see such good and enthusiasm work.

    Found your channel by accident. but it's pure gold! Thank you. In our country most of all workshops won't touch the battery packs, and replace just whole units. Thanks for the great insights!

    When I was removing battery modules out of the battery case I folded the lid up and it pushed on the plate that has the fuse and busted the fuse on a few of the modules so I bent it back down and soldered the fuse back on been like that for 8 years no problems but I use mine for home storage

    You guys are just amazing. Many EVs are super long lasting mechanically and body (Model S). But battery and DU replacements make it a gamble to own one as Tesla does not repair them. True EV Heroes....needed world wide.

I just opened my tesla repair shop in Tampa,FL In United States and I have a standard range battery with similar issue. Would be awesome if I could repair the brick as a test for future packs

    Hi, what would’ve happened if that cell was just removed and not fitted based on the fact that the cells in the brick are in parallel? 🤔 would the bms detect that?

    I have a Model 3 with two bulges out from the battery. Its not near any bolt placement. But in the area of the outer rows of blocks. One on the left side of the car and one on the right side. Do you have some idea of what could have happened? I live in Sweden so its not so easy to just drive over and have you look. =) Its still under warranty also, so Tesla will have a look next week. No impacts and no special degradation or faults indicated.

    I wonder how long this fix will last. I've seen others who have done this and eventually the difference in cell ages and resistance causes imbalance which the BMS cannot overcome.

    • @evclinic
      @evclinic  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Fix where they bypass one cell is nit working. We change cell with same age and internal resistance. Everything is as original, and will hold for long time.

    I see only warning BMS_a066.
    Tesla inform me, we replace the battery pack (car is in warranty).
    The car function but the warning message is always present. (I have battery E3LD), I'm waiting the new battery from 3 month ..... is possbile the car damage all cells battery? and leave me on the road??
    Thanks in advince for your answare.

    why would they design the battery pack like this if one cell going bad causes so much problems. Really not a smart move, unless you sell them a whole battery module out of warranty... then I guess it's a good way for tesla to make a few grand after a few years....

  • @aerodyneservices
    @aerodyneservices 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Replacing modules or individual cells with anything but parts that are exactly matched is a fools game.
    You could have another cell fail a month after the repair, then what?
    Repair companies here in the US have gone out of business trying your approach.
    Replacing BMBs and fixing leaks does make sense and should have long lasting results.

    • @evclinic
      @evclinic  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Absolutely true, thats why you cant do cell swap wk057 knowledge and without proper procedures. There are steps to determine characteristics of healthy sample and then match sample from stock of used cells.
      We never had repeated single cell failure. It is roadtested on MS 18 months and M3 6 months. Both taxi.
      Fools game is to change cell or more cells if you dont know how to measure acir dcir esr cac. Exactly what tesla didnt do in beginning of reman process, and what wk057 messed up and missinformed public that this is not possible.
