  • Hi, Friends! I'm excited to share my finished Summer tee here - interesting aspects about the knitting experience and the pattern.
And, I'll tell you about another Summer tee I've started using a different pattern and yarn.
I've started an accessory too to use a single skein of Purl Soho Morning.
I look forward to chatting in the comments!

Renee! I love how you just jump right in there and knit! I keep over thinking making a tee or sweater and I think you have the right idea.. just do it!

Mimi, just do it. Especially with a Beginner pattern , like I’ll be using for the sweater, and some decently priced or budget yarn! I have to do it in order to learn it. I’m that kind of learner!

Microphone on the water bottle is a great idea!
I love the Teal Tide - it is a very flattering color for you.

My favorite heel to knit is the Shadow wrap heel. It fits me great and it is a much quicker and more intuitive heel (imho). Denise from Earthtones Girl podcast has some great tutorials for this heel construction on her channel.

Hi Renee! Your tee shirt came out great. I love watching you learn about knitting. I’ve been knitting for 50 years. I started very young. I’m still trying new things to sharpen my skills. I haven’t even knitted socks yet. You are such a go getter. I just recently finished an Ankers Summer shirt in Coboo yarn in pale pink. It came out beautiful. That petite knit pattern is pretty easy and it makes a very classy tee in my opinion. Keep up the good work! 😊

Hi, Jan. Thanks for the feedback. You’ve given me a boost! Oh I’m so excited about that Anker sweater. My gosh is it beautiful. I’ve got some Coboo! To have been knitting throughout your life ….it must be such a lovely thing. Thanks for being here. 🥰

Hello! This is the first video of yours that I watched and enjoyed your personality so much that I subscribed and will watch your other videos from the beginning. It’s fun to hear how you’ve just started knitting and have had no qualms about jumping into new projects. Your knitted tee turned out really cute and the color is great. I look forward to seeing and hearing about your projects!

I am currently trying out the Patons Kroy FX sock yarn. I've made many socks but only one pair with Patons Kroy. I liked the sock but I used size 2 needles so it made the sock a lot "fatter". It was a solid brown color. I've heard that some of the yarn variations are thinner, so I picked up some at Joann with the 50 % off coupon at two different times, so it cost me around seven dollars for two skeins. Which is great. I wear a size 9 shoe so I need more than 50 grams of yarn. The heel that you did for your sock is all I do. Once you do it a couple of times it gets a lot easier, because you start to understand what is going on. I can modify it now for how many stitches I am doing for a particular yarn. I think I tried short rows once and maybe I'l do it again at some point, but I had trouble with that at the time. I know the different heels can make a sock fit better depending on your shaped foot. But the traditional is working great for me. Your tshirt turned out cute! I wouldn't have noticed a difference in the sleeve if you hadn't mentioned it. I think the one sleeve is rolling just slightly more that might be making it look shorter. You've made so much progress!. I really like that you talk more in depth about the yarns that you are using. It helps me when someone describes in detail about a yarn that I haven't tried yet and I am sure it helps others too.

Ah I love this feedback. I can understand now as I knit more the idea of something the 2nd time not being as daunting, so I’m encouraged to try the traditional heel again. And now that I’m practicing heels by knitting very short socks, I can try all kinds of heels to see what fits and what I like knitting. Thanks for the feedback on the video. I’m so interested in yarn , all kinds, that I really love sharing details about it!

Loved your episode! The tee projects are amazing! I’m working on a baby sweater for my new grandson as my “first garment “ and I’m loving it. Planning on starting a sweater for myself next. I am hooked on sock knitting. Love it!! I’ve not tried 9 inch circulars yet. I’ve only used magic loop. It took some time to get used to a heal flap and gusset. Now I love it but I’m thinking of expanding to other heals as well. Again great episode! 😊

Oh my gosh….a baby sweater as your first sweater. What a memorable piece that will be! I’m getting more and more interested in socks as I figure out what my preferences are. So now I can see the obsession, right? I’ve just tried a 2nd type of heel and really liked it. And I’m going to be doing the toe of a sock for the first time next! I’m so glad you’re here. 🥰🥰🥰

Oh I did the Sophie scarf too and knitted a few for gifts. They’re easy and brainless. At the moment, I’m challenging myself with the Esther Jacket by Petite Knits. It’s hard going for me but I’m taking it slowly. So far I’m halfway through the body and loving it. All the best with your knitting!

@@AdventurerKnits check it out. Petite Knits on Ravelry called Esther Jacket. It’s also on various TH-camr knitters who are knitting it. It’s so slow but I’m loving how it’s turning out so far!
