  • Yeah, I should've used an angle grinder... o_o
    I picked up some fake "Akrapovic" exhaust tips from China a couple months ago. I just wanted them gloss black but they only sold them in the carbon fiber styling with the Akrapovic sticker on them. Anish gifted me the rear valence as a birthday present earlier this year! I realized after that the exhaust wasn't perfectly aligned the way I wanted but it looks fine to me now. Let me know in the comments if it looks wack :(

    Next time, with the saw. put the saw closer to the object you are cutting, against the black plate. that is the way the saw is designed to be used. Then it is not going to wobble around. Just a tip ;)

    Your video was super helpful for seeing how the valence connects to the rest of the bumper. Mine has some damage and I want to replace it but I couldn't find good info about that anywhere. If I'm only replacing the valence do you know if that can be done without removing the whole bumper like you did in the previous video? It seems like the push through clips underneath should be easy. I think it will just depend on whether the trim clips along the top can either be released from the outside with a trim tool or if there's a way to get to them from underneath the car. Do you know if that's possible?

      I recommend removing the whole bumper because it is hard to get the valence back into the clips when the the bumper is still on the car. I took the valence off and put the bumper back on one time thinking I could just clip the valence back in but the middle was too flimsy and the valence just wouldnt clip back. Im not sure if it would be possible without removing the bumper but because of that issue I just remove it every time (and its easier for me to remove the bumper than to try and find the clips from under the car)

    Since you got the bumper off you had to get the led reflectors

    What the size of the tips exhaust 57mm in-101mm out?

    • @AnthonyMo
      @AnthonyMo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry Mustafa, I cant remember exactly. I believe it is 2.5" or 2.75"ish to around a 3.5" a 4" because it depends on whether you measure it from the outer or inner part of the exhaust tip. The best way to find one that fits about the same is to ebay search "Honda CRV 2017-2021 exhaust tips"

      Easiest to ask the dealership for a part number as its different in every country and I dont have the number around anymore

    Should prob just weld the exhaust tips on if you plan to keep them for a while. I got it done on my crv. There's a place in scarb called Noyzboyz. Check em out if you plan on doing it. They did a great job

      Ill defintely look into them when I decide to get it fixed in the future. They stay on pretty good right now so ill leave them for now. Thanks for the recommendation!

      At the end of the day its just always a matter of staying within my yearly budget for the car so Ill it fixed when I feel like I can allocate some savings towards it 😅 the main reason Im not getting it fixed asap is that i think its not an eyesore for now (let me know otherwise) and I wanna use that extra 100 to 200 on some other things. However, i would love to get it fixed in the future to get it perfect and im thinking maybe doing it before the end of summer

      If your on a budget then yeah I think it looks fine. Lol I couldn't stand having exhaust tips held in with screws so I got them welded instead. You should prob save up some money to make more HP. The CRV has a lot more potential then it looks. I definitely feel the difference in gains

    I need this exhaust for my crv 2017 what is the diameters?

    • @AnthonyMo
      @AnthonyMo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They measure either 2-3/8" or 2-1/2". Mine didnt fit perfect because i didnt get a pipe welded but if youre looking for these tips you should be able to find some CRV specifically sized ones on ebay

    • @AnthonyMo
      @AnthonyMo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the best way to measure them is to use a string at the part closest to the muffler but it really depends on where you want to cut it and if you want to weld a pipe onto the end

      Brutally honest, but I do admit it is definitely not my proudest work. Sometimes trying to cut corners and costs just don't work out well... I should probably angle grind it next time instead

    How much would a 2017 Honda CR-V go for today?

    • @AnthonyMo
      @AnthonyMo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Im not too sure about market price and like any car it probably depends on the location as well. Id average out some local postings to figure out a ballpark number based on kms, trim, etc...

    There's something wrong with the exhaust kids. It's terribly loud, it sounds old and the vehicle makes that typical struggling noise.
