Most universities are run like a business. His behavior is going to cause a lot a snickering and bad jokes at the expense of the university.
Lots of parents do not want to pay for their kid to go to a university that has a reputation as a party school or have an unsavory reputation.
So even though he did nothing wrong, his activities probably would have a negative impact on the university therefore they have to oust him.

What nauseated me was when the woman “serviced” two men the both had white goop squirt onto her face. 🤮🤢😱 that is when I left. Before that while studying to be a RN in the 1970s I had seen something that Glide Memorial Church in San Francisco had produced while taking a seminar offered by San Francisco State on “Human Sexuality and the Disabled.” It showed all kinds of sex, but the different was all of that was done beautifully and sensitively and each scene showed not just explicit actions but genuine affection and LOVE. I knew Joe; he became chancellor not long before I went to college. At the time, he was trying to be approachable and cool, but didn't give off any bad vibes (this was before he married Carmen, so perhaps he was keeping things more under wraps).
I thought he was interesting as a choice for chancellor, and I liked that he fired his spokesperson, as he didn't feel he needed someone to help him speak to the college.
In any case, I was alone with him a few times in 2010/11, when I was 20/21. (It was relating to work I did for the university, I got to talk in-depth with him). I never felt weird or objectified, and I never heard of any bad or creepy behavior or any online postings before he married Carmen.
It seems he has decided to be more, ahem, open, about sex and his life. What happened? When I knew him in the years I mentioned, he seemed a pretty normal guy. I'm not defending what he did, but rather pointing out an escalation in his patterns of thinking and behavior. And whatever stuff he put online, I have never heard of any students being harassed or preyed on by him.

      Were talking about emotional maturity.
      8 signs of emotional maturity-
      You are empathetic.
You're able to recognize and Share Your Feelings.
      You're flexible and open-minded.
You're Able to Form Secure, Healthy Relationships.
You Take Responsibility for Your Actions.
      You Set Healthy Boundaries.
      You've Able to Resolve Conflicts.
You Can Manage Stress In Healthy Ways.
How many of these qualities apply to people who are watching and especially making pornography?
Just because you think it's fine doesn't mean you're emotionally mature. Name one person who is involved with this that can maintain a long-term healthy happy relationship with their mate, and be confident that they are setting a good example for others, especially for young people.

Ironically, it sounds like this one *will* stand up on court, but one throbbing question remains: How long and hard did the staff review Gow's videos?

Usually tenured university faculty cannot be fired for expressing unpopular or controversial opinions or lifestyles, and are entitled to a much greater degree of due process to defend their position than Dr. How was afforded.
