      Yes, although his being held responsible for child support could have unleashed his lethality on them, too. Any time one has children with a dangerous person, they have a permanent hostage and continual provocation as courts issue demands, which they invariably resent. I think the Billy Goat Gruff strategy (divert the villain with a choicer morsel so one can escape) the most practical strategy with abusers. When they are having their egos massaged by the new conquest and have devalued the old, there's the opportunity to flee.

      It's *coercive* control, not cohesive. Coercion means "to force someone to do a thing, or things, against their will". I agree that Baxter is a narcissist, and I've thought so since the day he murdered his family. However, not every abuser who uses coercion & controlling behaviour is necessarily a narcissist (or else there's a huge number of them in the general population), but it does appear to correlate highly with those who are willing to harm their offspring to get back at their former partners for leaving.

    Doc once long ago, way before you had a million viewers, you used to ask for suggestions. I persisted in every video asking you to cover Ian Curtis. You used to heart my comments. I always thought one day you would cover him for me. I constantly put it in the comments. I don't know what I did or didn't do to convince you to just make a video covering Ian Curtis of Joy Division. I was and still am very curious to hear your insights into why he took his own life. Sadly I am now after well over a year of watching you and liking every single video you have ever made, giving up. It breaks my heart sir. I respect you so much and wish you would for my loyalty indulge me this one favor. Even knowing eventually you will even if it's years from now would be enough. Is it because I haven't joined patron? Which when I am not dirt poor I still plan on doing just to see the videos I am unable to see not being a member. But this is my last plea to you my psychologist master of puns and author of alliteration, one last time, will you please cover Ian Curtis? Thank you for all you do. This is the last time I will bring it up.

      I 100% agree! Joy division is definitely in my top 5 favorite bands of all time, even though they are decades before my time. The pure talent was undeniable as well as the pure pain written into their music. I was a rather morbid teenager and picked atmosphere as the song I want played at my funeral, still is. Please cover Ian Curtis, it would mean so much to at least two people 😢

      If you look at it from his side, I'm sure no slight was intended. Besides this channel, l assume he has other work commitments and even if not, how would he find the time to "heart" every one of so many comments? No need to take it personally!
      ETA: l just googled them, and though l would not be it all interested, other channels have covered the subject, and may be of interest to you.

      @@Bearwithme560 I don't think anyone perceives it that way and of course you wouldn't be interested if you are not invested in Joy divisions career and music. And of course other content creators have covered Ian Curtis, they were one of the most influential bands ever. They still are the cure's biggest musical influence. That being said we want Dr. Grande's take on it, a familiar. Not just some random TH-camr I've never watched.

    I heard an account of the attack. Apparently Hannah had the chance to get out earlier from the vehicle and survive but she stayed for her 3 children as they were strapped into their seats and she didn't have time to take all of them with her. She may have had the chance to save one but instead she chose to die with all her children. Truly heartbreaking what this insane person did to his own family. He claimed he should have had custody of his children when no person who is willing to burn children alive should be allowed anywhere near them.

    This is so heartbreaking. 😢 I cannot even imagine the last moments of Hannah and her children. I hope her parents/their grandparents are finding a way to heal. I am curious about how Rowan escaped treatment for his behaviors in general... such as a kid, did his parents not seek help for him as this did not sound like a newer development?

  • @wendyfrith3407
    @wendyfrith3407 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Horrifying!
    It also makes me realise how lucky my children and I are. For the picture Dr Grande paints of Rowan is an EXACT portrait of my ex-husband. Fortunately, he must have been 1° slower or less violent than Rowan, as I only suffered some broken bones. And when I realised I had no support (my family doctor’s only comment when I limped into his office was that D---- was “not being a gentleman”), I fled with my children to my parents who lived on a tiny island 5.000 miles away, with very strict entry laws. There’s no way he could have brought gasoline in with him; and, having friends in Immigration as well as all over the island, word would have reached me the moment he landed. Not only that, the tenant in my parents’ suite was a young policeman who kept his patrol car parked in the driveway!
    But for the lucky alignment of the stars, my children and I could have ended up in a literal hell like Hannah and her three little children did. Not only is my sympathy for them boundless, my stomach is churning and my hair is standing on end; this despite the fact that my great escape was 45 years ago.
