    Fun fact :
The 2024 Indonesia election will be held in just one day, and it involved 204 million peoples with each person vote on 5 different papers which if calculated, approximately 1,04 billion votes happen within just 6 hours. And if those each vote were illustrated as a person, there will be 1,04 billion person which are equivalent to 12,5% of total world populations.

In Indonesia, Two Round System has been used, unlike in the Philippines, has a First-Past-The-Post which means even some many candidates are voted but only one is automatically winner
In the Philippines, Presidential Elections took place every six years, while mid-term elections took place every three years but only voted in the legislative branch(House of Representatives and Senate)
In Two Round System in Indonesia, in the first round, only two candidates will proceed to the second round where it was automatically winner a candidate
There are similarities between Philippines and Indonesia in Political System:
1.Both are Presidential System of Government
2.Bicameral Legislature(In the Philippines was House of Representatives or Mababang Kapulungan and Senate or Senado ng Pilipinas, while in Indonesia was Regional Representative Council and House of Representatives of Indonesia)
3.Local Government in both countries are the same and different including:
-Both are Provincial Governor and Vice-Governors
-In the Philippines, the head of the city or town was the Mayor and Vice-Mayor while in Indonesia, every province has regency, lead by a regent, plus seperate cities are head by the mayor and vice-mayor
-Provincial Legislature are different in two countries:Sangguniang Panlalawigan or Provincial Board in the Philippines, Provincial Parliament in Indonesia
-City/Municipal Legislature are different too:Sangguniang Panglungsod/Sangguniang Pambayan or Municipal/City Councilors in the Philippines, Regency Parliament in Indonesia
-Indonesia has third level which is Kecamatan or Sub-District led by Gamut, while in the Philippines, it was none since District has been used in Metro Manila and Davao but it was under supervision by the Mayor(examples was Ermita District in Manila and Paquibato District in Davao)
-In the village level, in the Philippines was Barangay led by Barangay Captain or Village Chief together with Sangguniang Barangay(Barangay Council), plus Sangguniang Kabataan(Youth Council) led by SK Chairman and SK Councilors, while in Indonesia, Kedesaan was led by Kepala Desa, which is equivalent of Barangay Captain
4.Both have Supreme Court in both countries
    5.Both are Written Constitution
Hope to wish a Good Luck to Indonesian Voters and Keep Voting Wisely to pick the Presidential Candidate of Indonesia to make Philippines and Indonesia, stronger as friends and love, this 75th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations 🇵🇭🤝🇮🇩
I 💕 Indonesia from Calamba City, Laguna in the Philippines 🇵🇭💕🇮🇩

It was minimum 35 years old as requirement to enroll the presidencial Election. People must read the rules before it was changed to minimum 40 years old. The act makes young people disappointed there MK decided to make excuse if the person was voted as Governor/Vice, Major/Deputy in Indonesia. That's to accomodate young people who already reach 35 years old

The minimum legal age should be 18 in the first place. If you can choose by 18, you should've been able to be chosen at 18.
What's the point of being able to vote at 18 if your voice can only be heard by people at the age 35, heck 40.

Objectively speaking, both 01 and 03 (Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo's respective tickets) have much more sound and in-depth programs and promised policies. 01 is slightly better.
01 campaigns on change. Their promises centre around the restoration of justice and democracy, with the introduction of meritocracy to all facets of Indonesia. Anies is a scholar and a proven leader from his term as Governor in Jakarta during 17'-22', with great success in his leadership during. On a political spectrum, 01 could be noted as centre-left.
03 campaigns on a mix of change and continuation. They claim to want to continue the good policies introduced during Jokowi's reign, while also restoring equity to all. Ganjar is a seasoned politician, being a PDI-P member ever since it's formation and a former Governor of Central Java from 13'-23'. 03 can also be noted as centre-left.
02 on the other hand (Prabowo Subianto's ticket), is a clear outlier on all fronts. They campaign exclusively on "continuation", naturally as a result of the nepotistic and corrupt motives of the campaign. Many of their promises and claims rely on Jokowi's performance during his term. Prabowo is a dishonourably-discharged former General, with multiple Human Rights' Violations that he performed during Suharto's New Order Dictatorship. They can be labelled as a centre-right to right wing coalition.
The reason for 02's success can be attributed to the campaign style and exorbitantly large campaign funds, in which Prabowo has taken the persona of a cutesy-lovable Grandpa that dances. This campaign has unfortunately worked for many Indonesians, especially prevalent in short-form content on Social Media.
On the other side of the fence, the wariness towards voting for 01 or 03 can largely be due to the parties backing the respective candidates.
01's coalition includes PKS, an Islamic political party, with history of some religious and ethnic intolerance. Meanwhile, 03's coalition includes PDI-P, a party that has maintained dominant in the Parliament for several terms.
For this reason, more sensible voters are to turn in a "split-ballot", in which their vote for Presidential Candidate may not correspond to their vote for Parliament (Party) Member, done also to ensure that a sufficiently strong opposition is present, unlike the current state of the Parliament.

Candidate No.1 is religiously oriented, and is supported by 2 parties with religious backgrounds. Anies Baswedan is of Yemeni descent and often uses identity politics (as a Muslim).

9:02 Jokowi probably wishes to emulate Malaysia. A dominant party UMNO that tailored a coalition of parties called Barisan Nasional (BN) that steamrolled opposition voices of PA and DAP. Economic programs were initiated with minimal opposition. Thus, Malaysia developed quick. But Malaysians got fedup of the consequent corruption in BN. Jokowi thought he could avoid the corruption that grew from BN's almost absolute power. Yet, Jokowi misjudged the integrity of coalition parties as shown by corruption of his Cabinet.

Spoken by someone who doesn't live in Indo or who hasn't been outside of Jakarta/Bali.
Jokowi has squandered billions of dollars on his failed 'New Capital' (Nusantara) project. Funds which should have been used to further develop Java's other commercial/industrial centre's.
There are dozens of promised and unfinished infrastructure projects which have been put on hiatus as attention is now on Nusantara. It's a waste of the country's resources. And now his 'successor', Prabowo, is planning on spending 70% of the government's budget on the distribution of milk and snacks for 1 year? How asinine.
Indonesia needs a decisive leader who will commit to and finish projects instead of bandwagoning onto a new one for temporary poll boosts.

@@kingsimba9513 It's not failed. Heck, it progress nicely. Also, Indonesia need to stop on Java-centric and progress more outside Java. It's called Indonesia Nation, not Java Nation. Jokowi has completed the most of infrastructure that any Indonesian president has done. It stabilize indonesian economy and have the lowest inflation rate the country have in any run (minus the covid year).
Prabowo plan to give food to the children is much more realistic plan than Anies 40 city with Jakarta level and Ganjar free internet through indonesia in 5 years run. Prabowo literally the most commit president candidate out of this 3, he serve Indonesia longer than any of them.

@kikijihan8316 Jakarta is the only city in Indo with decent road and public transportation infrastructure. It's a joke.
Indo needs to develop outwards, like any proper country. Have a strong central base (Java), and then continue to the outer islands. This is city planning basics.
For example: I'm from Jakarta, and I'm shocked that there isn't a proper toll in place from Semarang to Jogja, even though it was promised years ago.
Prabowo's free food policy is a temporary solution to a permanent problem. I don't know how you think spending 70% of the budget on 1 year's worth of food is a sustainable plan. But yes, please vote for him. I can't wait to see Indo be worse off because of it. Serves his voters right.

Hey, just wanted to point out that the Singaporean presenter seems to frequently interrupt, which can be quite off-putting, especially for an Indonesian audience. A more patient and respectful approach in allowing others to finish their thoughts could greatly improve the conversation flow and overall experience. Additionally, it seems like the presenter is imposing her views rather than facilitating a balanced discussion. This can be perceived as disrespectful, especially in a diverse audience. Encouraging a variety of perspectives would make the dialogue more engaging and inclusive. You can do better CNA.
