It is. The best Indonesian president in the Indonesian history. Talk less do more action, that's how to describe him and his presidency. He's not perfect during his presidential but overall positif, imo.
bcoz of Jokowi i can travelled to my hometown by toll roads (Sumatran toll road) . usually it took me 4 days but now just only 2 days
Same omg, for me personally it normally took about 3 hours, sometimes it can take about 7 or so hours because of traffic (truck accidents, flood, poor road conditions) when using the lintas Sumatra/regular road. But now it takes only 1 and a half hours at most because of the Sumatran toll road!

Mr Jokowi is one of the visionary and best presidents in Indonesia. Not only has he advanced the country with massive infrastructure development but also the people's social safety net has been initiated by him not only regarding health insurance but also education. This program is only about past 10 years into its leadership, and clearly the welfare results will be visible, not now, but if it is sustainable, it can be felt in the next 2-3 decades. Also, the people's sense of optimism was built by his speeches, which brought new hope that this country is a great country and that if all elements of the nation work together to advance the country, in 2045 this country will become a developed country. The hopes voiced by Mr President Jokowi are very influential among the younger generation. Because of that, Mr. Jokowi in his final year in office still received an approval rating and performance satisfaction from the Indonesian people was still around 80%.
Meanwhile, his influence on the Presidential Election this time does not automatically mean that the percentage of his approval rating will be distributed entirely to the pair he favors, but rather the people are still divided by people/characters who are different from themselves. But suppose the constitution allows Mr. Jokowi's participation in the presidential election this time will certainly have his approval rating figures reflected in his electoral level, and has the potential to win higher than the current presidential candidates.

Even Faisal Basri has asked some Jokowi's ministries to boycott the Jokowi Cabinet by resigning like what Mahfud MD has done. Many experts said when Mahfud MD resigned, it would help PDIP to gain momentum to get more popularity among its candidates. The fact is that Mahfud's popularity is the lowest among the three candidates.
Please bear in mind, that among 7 Indonesian presidents, only Jokowi has the guts to announce an Arab descent as a hero (Anies Baswedan's grandfather). 6 Indonesian presidents have never appointed an Arab descent as a hero. After his grandfather was announced as a hero, Anies has never treated Jokowi nicely, you name it hoaxes, framing, embarrassing Jokowi, not respecting Jokowi etc that he made to Jokowi including his subordinate as a governor of Jakarta. Anis let poor people occupy lands near river basin areas although an Indonesian law has forbidden anyone to create buildings or occupy the river basin area.
Also FYI, only General Prabowo, who is of Chinese descent, funded Aneis Baswedan's candidacy in the Jakarta governor election. Anies also humiliated Prabowo in his first debate not debating on Prabowo's programs.
I am 69. I am not rich. And I live a simple life in a very small town in the South of Bandung. I have lived through all Presidents since Soekarno. Honestly, I am not ready for not having Pak Jokowi as our President. I'll miss him. But, thank you so very much Pak Jokowi. You'll never know how much you've brighten my life. 😔

Regardless of countless critics toward him, Indonesia has made significant improvements in the past decade, especially in infrastructural advancement. Before 2014, traveling between cities, especially on different islands was a nightmare. Right now, everyone can easily travel to almost any city on the map.
The infrastructure growth is not based on principles of justice and welfare. The apparent success of many infrastructure projects is merely a facade. In reality, these projects have been undertaken at the cost of accumulating substantial debts through unreasonable agreements with China. The State Budget (APBN) cannot sustain many of these large projects. Consequently, to offset the deficits in the APBN, the government has incurred significant debts, ultimately to be repaid by taxpayers. Instead of pursuing numerous seemingly useless infrastructure projects, the government should prioritize investments in health and education infrastructure.

In conclusion, the development in Papua appears to be superficial, with allegations of natural resource exploitation by oligarchs. You can search for another example and projects of gov did or do right now. Open ur eyes.

They were migrants from the coastal area, some even might trace descent to the neighboring island of Sulawesi. Indonesia is not ruled by a king, and will never surrender it's democratic system. Jokowi indeed has a good start by promoting infrastructure development, but in the end people see the increasing of corruption practices while he and the parlimentary weaken the KPK (anti corruption body), and now he himself doing a nepotism by changing the presidential candidate rules in favour of his son. People feel sick for what he is doing currently. People of Indonesia won't take him as a King, let alone a King Maker, since they know Prabowo is a trouble maker who has dark history. People thinks that he will bring back the Orde Baru era into Indonesia.

It is apparent that Jokowi original plan is to have Prabowo to fight against Ganjar. Jokowi often promote both oh them as the future leader. With Anies appearance to run for presidential, Jokowi tried to matching Prabowo and Ganjar as one candidacy (Prabowo as president and Ganjar as vice president). However, PDIP does not agree with plan, and very much confience on their own and try to decrease Jokowi's influence in the political scene. PDIP select Ganjar as their candidate with Mahfud as the vice president. Prabowo did not have many option if he wants to win, and select Gibran, son of Jokowi, as his vice president candidate. And then the games in on, huge portion of Jokowi supporter moves their support to Prabowo, as seen from his highest poll rate compare to other candidates.

I hope the next Indonesian president will focus more on uplifting the lives of the poor, improve their living conditions in slum areas by building them decent within city housings, and development must not only in Java. The next president must help the indigenous people of Indonesia for they are the most forgotten, he must give importance also to preserving nature by rehabilitating rivers and seas and lakes, building sewerage systems, water pipes to every community instead of underground source of water. The new president must stop any landfills but rather build recycling facilities. Indonesia is lagging behind as compare to it's neighbors regarding these things

When the world bank lend money to developing countries to support their own currencies. Then that is putting the borrower countries into debt trap.
No such thing as debt trap. When u sign the agreement u know 100% percent all the terms, including total debt, interest and the dates associated with it. It is not a trap if u willingly sign it. Unless u are extremely incompetent and u r looking for a way out when u cant fulfill ur part of the agreement.

2. Freeport McMoran has paid me a salary of Rp 10 million a month.
a. In 1969, 1 USD = Rp 7.5. It means Freeport has prepared Rp 10 million/Rp 7.5 = USD 1.3 million/month to pay me the equivalent of Rp 10 million/month of my salary
b. In 1998, Soros came and 1 USD = Rp 16,800. Freeport has to prepare Rp 10 million/Rp 16,800 = USD 595/month to pay me the equivalent of Rp 10 million/month of my salary.
You can see that an American company called Freeport McMoran with USD manipulation could get a massive discount on its operation expenses such as salary of UDS 1.3 million/USD 595 = 2,240 times!
3. Imagine if an Indonesian is happy to be paid Rp 10 million as the USA puppet.
In 1969, 1 USD = Rp 7.5, to pay him the USA has to pay Rp 10 million/Rp 7.5 = USD 1.3 million.
Lets say that the USA is only willing to spend USD 1.3 million to buy Indonesians.
Thus in 1998, when Soros came and 1 USD = Rp 16,800, the USA with USD 1.3 million could buy (USD 1.3 million x Rp 16,800) : Rp 10 million/person = 2,184 Indonesian puppets.
