My subframe is the only thing that's showing rust on mine , but it's only surface rust I plan to treat it and paint black before it gets bad but I'm gonna wait to use my mates lift as I can't imagine it been a nice job off Axel stands and jacks lol good video as always mate 👍 funnily enough I've changed a rear caliper today bit of extra advice to help , the hose can be a pain unscrewing from the caliper I've had this a few times and it's easy to round the nut off . Unscrew the hose from the brake line instead of the caliper using 11mm and 16mm spanner's let it soak a bit in wd40 first. you will lose a bit of fluid but it's easier then put the caliper in vice to remove the hose especially if it's never been off the car you will find it really tight it's easier this way 👍
If it's just surface rust on your frames I'd get some Jenolite (amazing rust-eater) on it and clean it up before applying a couple coats of Hammerite before it gets too bad! Informative video as always - thanks man
Hey mate. Thanks for the video it was helpful. I saw you have a wayside performance sticker on your engine, cover, and the car. I’m looking at buying it. Also tuned by Wayside performance. What is your opinion on them?
@@Tsoulistic I still have it my bro, I’ve had it for almost a year now … if you find a clean example I’d say get it over the fiesta cause there’s a lot of fiestas in our country
Hi mate should there be a vacuum line going to the manifold map sensor or pressure sensor some call it? There a electrical plug plugged to it but how’s it take readings with nothing else going there? Corsa vxr 2009 thanks
@@Yodaracing1 I know that map sensor is in the boost pipe but whats the one on the back of the inlet manifold next to the bcs they are both on a black plate bolted on the bottom of the inlet manifold? It looks like a map sensor but it’s not going to nothing boost pipes neither inlet manifold so what’s it purpose or am I missing something? Thanks mate
Hay up hope your well as you know am on a standard engine having what I think is a fuelling problem low revs it’s missing a little but after certain revs it’s fine ie boost would you change injectors and fuel pump and if so what to the car is standard apart from 3 inch cobra and sports cat ?
Hi guys good video again Yoda, think my MAF is needing cleaned up, standard air box with k&n panel filter for about 1.5k miles now, symptoms... Slight jutter on acceleration (not flooring car) thru low gears on cold start but eventually clears when car warmed up? Possible oil from k&n on MAF? i will clean it and return to OEM air filter and report back, keep the good content coming👍🏻👍🏻
Had another problem with mine water keeps boiling up like a kettle in the coolant tank and shooting all over the engine bay their is no smoke from exhaust no sign of oil mixing with water can hear heavy bubbling and the water is ejected from the tube on the side of coolant tank literally all the water shoots out tank goes dry and fan constantly running parked her up 😓
@@Yodaracing1 I had a mechanic run a quick chemical test and oil seems fine no sing of any water leaks going to replace the thermostat and will let you know how it goes fingers crossed 😓
I don't understand why they don't put a plastic weather shield ,(undertray) on the Corsa vxr from the factory it would stop all the rust problems and stop them looking scruffy and rusty underneath every thing around the engine is just open to the elements 👍👍
Been looking at buying a corsa vxr recently and these videos have really helped inform me on things to look out for. Keep it going man!
Cheers mate really appreciate that nice to know I can help

No it takes the readings off of the boost pressure within the intake pipe 👍🏻

Hmmm fuelling issues aren’t that common on these I would check your plugs also do a compression test
When the boost control solenoid fails or even map sensor does it effect idle on startup?
Not usually this could possibly be maf related as the bcs and map sensor only effect boost is it only on cold start ??
