Calvin I watched the first VXR you posted and went out to buy one for myself which I've own since Feb 2017. These cars are a lot of fun the over-boost function still gives me an adrenaline shot. best advice is to get forged pistons coz they melt(P4). Glad I saw your video back then I have no regret buying a Corsa OPC as we call em in South Africa. Keep em vids rolling.
Temp Gauge: On your wiper stalk, press the button on the end 4 times and hold it on the 4th press. Wait 10secs till your mileage changes. Press the button a further 5 times and theres your temperature.
@@DomWayne if you have the trip computer coupled with button on the end of the wiper stalk I don't see any reason why it shouldn't... I've never owned an LE so couldn't say, but I have had an SRI and VXR and they work on both of them anyway.
FYI You can also press the mileage reset button in the same sequence as explained above, it does the same as the end of the stalk but it's easier to press the stalk.
Calvin I do love your video's and you can see how much you were enjoying giving that VXR a blast. You come across really well and you actually give 2nd hand car dealers a good name
My current history: Toyota Aygo at 17 (Cheap to run) Volkswagen Golf GT Sport TDI (Nice upgrade after 4.5 years of the 1.0 Aygo, 2.0 TDI but had too many problems being a Mk5, next had a Vauxhall Corsa SRI 1.4 (nice, reliable but wanted more power. Upgraded in March to Corsa vxr. Hands down best car I've ever owned! For the price cannot beat them. Paid £4695 for 2010 with 87,000 stock car. So far good as gold not seen any issues, quick, parts reasonable cheap if something did go wrong, and lots of fun cannot get anything near the experience and power around that price with comparable year and specs
Anything 300bhp+ is rarely useable on the roads nowadays, they're too congested,you will only appreciate a real high power machine in the early hours when the roads are dead,plus these type of cars you can drive to the limit which makes it more fun

VXRS would be absolute machines if it weren't for piston four and if the gear box was a little stronger they would be on the top spot for hot hatches i think. Very fun little cars.

CarlosFandango it’s post film editing that makes the colours look different I think bud. He adds a colour correction to change the colours. I don’t think it’s a filter on a camera or a particular camera.

i thought camera's only work if theres lines on the road or only flash if you go the opposite direction so it is able to take a picture of the rear yellow plates?
There’s a way of bringing up the temperature, and normally just a bad temperature sensor that causing it to run hotter than it should. Cheap part, cheap fix, gear box on the other hand is a difference story.
A car with a dsg box is gonna be a fair few quid more , These are cheap and cheerful I’ve been looking at buying one You seem to get a lot of motor for ya money 👍🏼
Calvin I recently I bought a corsa vxr and I was thinking of getting it mapped I’m just wanting to know between the 2 corsas you droves on your channel the mapped one and the standard one was there a big difference in power do you think it’s worth doing or am I better keeping it standard? Lee Sawyer for me. Type R. I’m just such a big VTEC fan and I love EP3’s. But that aside. Front wheel drive sports hatch are all a laugh whatever they are.
Head gaskets aren’t any issue on these, and they don’t overheat. The issues are the piston 4 known issue, and the M32 Chocolate gearbox. Get a lot of bad rap but piston 4 tends to only go on remapped cars done by questionable places.
Twin exhaust tips for a corsa vxr will only be on a Nurburgring or club sport from factory with a bit extra power. Triangle style is just a design for the diffuser with a small triangle tip behind it, it’s totally up to yourself as both have the same issues with reliability unless it’s well looked after or forged

Nearly bought Mazda 3 mps on a couple of occasions. Gearboxes are horrible and they'll eat tyres faster than they drink petrol. Definitely quick and fun though.

Astra vxr is a nicer car, but I wouldn’t buy one, I would rather have a focus st. U can’t beat a 2.5 5 pot that sounds like an old school Audi Quattro.👍
I would agree with you both. Just got my 2010 MK2 ST back from Dreamscience in Hull, it's incredible. I was going to buy a 2017 ST, but very glad I didn't. Although, it was difficult to find a good MK2 ST. Here's what I had done to it: Stage 3+ package. DSCI intake with orange Hoses. Black DSCI intercooler. 3” Turbo back Exhaust with Decat. (resonated) 440cc injectors. RS ECU Holder. Mod-XRS Remap. (320BHP) Forge Actuator. Forge recirc. RS Oil cooler. RS Spark Plugs. (0.6mm) Whiteline Rear Anti Roll Bar. Eibach lowering springs. I had a Corsa GSI back in the day, also had a gasket probem and the engine needed a rebuild. Cost me a fortune to get it repaired. Vauxhall washed their hands of it after losing my full service history. I found out that Tigra's had the same issues. You would have thought that Vauxhall would have sorted the issues for following ranges. Obviously do not give a toss about their customers. Swore I will never touch another Vauxhall again. Hopefully other victims of Vauxhall have not bothered with the brand again .Look forward to the day that Vauxhall announce they have gone bust.
Just bought a Nurburgring edition a month ago, love the car honestly! Drove a normal corsa VXR and wasn’t that impressed but the Nurburgring was during felt much tighter and I bought it there and then!😂
Corsa burgs wasn't numbered from factory I think they only made 500 but owners on the vxronline done something so you could get it numbered seen something on the forum about it a while back

Its not headgasket issues on the corsa VXR's. Its the 4th piston that melts, lots of speculation on what causes it. Had it happen to mine too
mine had it too, probably running too lean on cilinder 4 because of a design error on the fuel rail
It’s when they get smashed about with low fuel. Because cylinder 4 is the furthest away it doesn’t get enough and melts it’s self

No that was a front facing cam that takes pick of driver and number plate has red filter on it
Camera's don't work here in the UK. There's a very small percentage that do. Fly past a camera over 100mph on a 40 and they still don't flash.

P4 is due to injectors just put astra vxr injectors in and you're fine
I always wanted one for the looks...but the performance was slower than 6.8! My clio 182 kicked arse....compared....thats all!

Astra vxr's are a world away from a shitty corsa vxr, personally prefer astra h vxr but the gtc is good too and handles better than the h

You would have thought that Vauxhall would have sorted the issues for following ranges. Obviously do not give a toss about their customers. Swore I will never touch another Vauxhall again. Hopefully other victims of Vauxhall have not bothered with the brand again .Look forward to the day that Vauxhall announce they have gone bust.
Just bought a Nurburgring edition a month ago, love the car honestly! Drove a normal corsa VXR and wasn’t that impressed but the Nurburgring was during felt much tighter and I bought it there and then!😂

Corsa burgs wasn't numbered from factory I think they only made 500 but owners on the vxronline done something so you could get it numbered seen something on the forum about it a while back
