Thanks Chad! Currently it’s just wide open headers which is why she sounds so good 😂 However; to keep the neighbours & Johnny Law happy, the Flowmaster Super 40’s that I mocked up a while back will be going back on, using 2.5” pipe, an H pipe, and exiting or dumping just in front of the rear tires. th-cam.com/video/H_RwpaOby1g/w-d-xo.html Once I get it through inspection I may swap them for some original 40’s. Thanks for watching! 👍🏻
@@AmandaRagsdale-j3p I have been told that remflex gaskets can be reused, but I don’t know if I trust that. For any other style of header gasket they should certainly be replaced to avoid leaks. Thanks for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻
I can't for the life of me get the starter out past the headers. I've unbolted It but it's trapped. The video doesn't show how you actually got it out... can you show/explain? Thanks so much. Great video!
Reverse of how I installed it at the beginning of the video. Unbolt the header and slide it up and and forward. That will leave you tons of room to get the starter out. Thanks for watching 👍🏻👍🏻
@@whiskeycreekcustoms6296 Thanks for the reply! I'll give it a go but for some reason I couldn't move the header far enough to create enough space for the starter.
Just a quick update... I had my son hold the header from the top and I was able to slide the old starter out and the new one in from underneath. Success! I still can't start the truck but replacing the solenoid today.
Thanks for watching!!! Be sure to subscribe to the channel so that you don’t miss our future videos! 👍🏻
With that new compact starter, are you able to remove and replace it without loosen up or removing your header?
She sounds good! What exhaust are you running after the headers?

did you add the spacer in the new starter
I had to swing the cross member out of the way and put the drivers side header in from below. Major pita.
It’s a tight fit that’s for sure!!! Thanks for watching 👍🏻👍🏻
I have a F600 with a 330FT looks like the starter will work on it too,I have 00 cables on it, really spins with the OEM starter
Bigger cables are always a good idea!

@@whiskeycreekcustoms6296it was during wheat harvest and the closest place was John Deere, All they had was 00 cable "works for me"
Im not mechanically inclined, i was wondering if those gaskets always need changed when putting in a new starter? Just good practice? Thank you

Did you have to use the shim it comes with?
I did not. Thanks for watching! 👍🏻👍🏻

@@davidmccullough4342 it can be a bit of a juggling act-especially with a full size starter. It will come out though!
