  • Eric and Carl discuss and demonstrate combat using the Savage Worlds tabletop RPG rules. This includes showing off some edges, using support rolls, and tests in combat. Watch Tabletop Tango Episode 4 ( • Tabletop Tango Ep4 - S... ) for an overview of the combat rules before watching the demonstration.

Exactly what I was looking for!
Explanation videos are great, but actual examples are best imo

I’m so messed up. It said 2d6 for a bow. So when I “attack” I roll 2d6 and see if I succeed with a 4. Then roll 2d6 for damage. Does this mean I use my shooting skill and wild die to see if I hit and raise? And then use wild die and 2d6 for damage?

Your attack roll uses Shooting skill. You roll your die for shooting skill and the wild die (they can explode). If this roll is above the target of 4 you hit, you then roll 2d6 for the damage (they can explode). You compare this value to the toughness of the target to determine if they are shaken or received a wound.

@@ASavageWorldsGM thank you. I’m going to have to switch a few things up at my next advancement that I would’ve done from the start.

Who knew there were Orcs in medieval times.

At 16:00 or so, When the orc tries to support his allies, he rolled 3 persuasion and one wild. When you make a check for multiple characters, you dont roll wild die along with each roll? does this work the same for other things like rate of fire shots with one wild die per 3 shot burst? Sorry for all the questions. I know it is one wild die per action so maybe that is why?

Yes when you roll multiple skill die for one action, you only roll your wild die once and it can replace one of the skill die rolls. This applies to edges like frenzy or work the room and things like rate of fire on range weapons.
