i love everything about Swade (and SW in general). but the Chases are just horrible!!! so much so, that sometimes, our characters prefer to not do something, just because there might be a chase there.
Since there's been several iterations of chases in SW, it does appear to be a tough nut to crack. The Savage Worlds Pathfinder introduced a chase deck as another mechanic. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to play with that yet. You can definitely do chases as dramatic tasks to completely avoid chase mechanics.
I believe the chase deck will work well. I have it and converted it to work with my virtual TT and I believe it meshes well with the core rules, but some things are incompatible (for the better). I'd really like to see a video with your thoughts on it,@@ASavageWorldsGM
Hmm, thanks for the video but these rules are NOT Fast, Fun and Furious. It feels more like a boring card game. I’m going to homebrew something more fun for chases.
Thank you for putting up this video on Chases. I've been waiting for someone to do a deep dive on this for ages!
Super helpful guys.......still not sold on chase rules in SW
50 Fathoms uses chases as the method for ship to ship combat. Thanks for the mechanics walk through.
Thanks, this helped clarify a lot. Have been avoiding chases, but definitely including a chase in my next adventure!

If you even get that worked out, would you be willing to share your homebrew?
